Chinese Ambassador Zhao Weiping Donates Books to the National Library of Namibia
On June 4th, Ambassador Zhao Weiping, on behalf of the Chinese Embassy in Namibia, donated a batch of books to the National Library of Namibia, including The Governance of China, Up and Out of Poverty and The Road to Ecological Civilization Construction in China. The Ministry of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture of Namibia held a handover ceremony for the donation. Mr. Erastus Haitengela, Executive Director of the Ministry, thanked the Embassy for the contribution and noted that these books enriched the collection of the National Library and will be welcomed by the Namibian readers. In his remarks, Ambassador Zhao said he hopes and believes that these books will help the general public with deeper understanding of China's political philosophy, government policies and rich culture. Ambassador Zhao Weiping Pays Courtesy Call on Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industrialization, Mines & Energy of the Republic of Namibia
On April 30, 2025, Ambassador Zhao Weiping paid a courtesy call on Hon. Natangwe Ithete, Deputy Prime Minister&Minister of Industrialization, Mines and Energy of the Republic of Namibia, having an in-depth exchange of views on China-Namibia economic and trade cooperation. Ambassador Zhao extended congratulations to Hon. Natangwe Ithete on his new appointment and said that Namibia and China have great potential for cooperation in the fields of industrialization, energy and mines. On April 17, 2025, Ambassador Zhao Weiping paid a courtesy call on Hon. Shafiishuna Sam Nujoma, the new Governor of Khomas Region of the Republic of Namibia, having an in-depth exchange of views on promoting the friendly exchanges between China and Namibia at the local level. Namibia: Ambassador Zhao Weiping Pays Courtesy Call on President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah
On April 14, Chinese Ambassador to Namibia Zhao Weiping paid a courtesy call on H.E. Dr. Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, President of the Republic of Namibia. Ambassador Zhao once again congratulated President Ndaitwah on her election as the President of Namibia, saying that the Chinese side always attaches high importance to China-Namibia relations, the potential for the bilateral cooperation in various fields is enormous, and the Chinese side stands ready to work together with Namibia to actively implement the outcomes of the FOCAC Beijing summit and promote further growth in the bilateral relations. Namibia: Ambassador Zhao Weiping Pays Courtesy Call on Minister of International Relations and Trade
On April 2, Ambassador Zhao Weiping paid a courtesy call on Hon. Amb. Selma Ashipala-Musavyi, Minister of International Relations and Trade of the Republic of Namibia. Minister-Counselor Shen Jian attended. Ambassador Zhao congratulated Minister Ashipala-Musavyi on her new appointment and said that, as good friends, China and Namibia have enjoyed frequent high-level exchanges, deepened and expanded cooperation in various fields over the 35 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations. The potential for the bilateral relations is enormous. China attaches great importance to its relations with Namibia and will work together with Namibia to actively implement the outcomes of the FOCAC Beijing summit, continue to provide strong support for Namibia's economic and social development, and promote further growth in the bilateral relations.
