According to a police media release, a man entered a store on Fennel Avenue near Upper Ottawa Street just before 1 a.m. on July 16. He was carrying a hidden firearm and demanded an employee to hand over cash, according to police. They say no physical injuries were reported and the suspect fled the scene. Police have arrested 21-year-old Lachlan Rabut of Hamilton and charged him with robbery with a firearm, and failing to comply with a release order.

Waterloo Regional Police want to identify this man as part of their investigation into a gas station robbery in Kitchener. (Source: WRPS) Waterloo Regional Police are investigating an armed robbery at a Kitchener gas station. On Sunday, around 1:10 a.m., officers were called to the business on Highland Road West near Fischer-Hallman Road. Police said a male entered the store, armed with both a gun and a knife. He reportedly demanded cash from the employee before fleeing the store. No one was hurt. The photo of a person, investigators are trying to identify, was released to the public on Monday. It shows an individual wearing dark sunglasses, white shirt and crossbody bag. Anyone with information is asked to contact the WRPS Robbery Unit at 519-570-9777, ext. 8255.

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — El Paso Police and Crime Stoppers of El Paso want your help in finding a man who robbed a car salesman at gunpoint and stole a pickup truck back in May in West El Paso. This is this week's 'Crime of the Week,' as publicized by Crime Stoppers of El Paso. At 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, the victim — a car salesman for Car Lots LLC — agreed to meet the suspect, who posed as a potential buyer, Crime Stoppers said. The victim drove to an apartment complex at 500 Rubin Dr., where the suspect test drove the 2019 black 4-door Chevrolet Silverado with the victim. After returning to the parking lot of the apartments, the suspect pulled out a gun, threatened the victim, and ordered him out of the truck, Crime Stoppers said. The suspect fled with the truck valued at $19,800. The suspect is a Hispanic male, late teens to early 20s, with a medium complexion, a slight mustache, and an average build, Crime Stoppers said. Northern Ont. woman charged in two armed robberies at a convenience store

A 39-year-old local woman has been arrested and charged in connection with two armed robberies at a convenience store in the 300 block of Oliver Road in Thunder Bay, Ont., last month. The Thunder Bay Police Service's Break and Enter, Auto Theft and Robbery (BEAR) Unit led the investigation after the suspect allegedly stole merchandise from the business on June 24. 'When confronted by a staff member, the suspect brandished a weapon and made threats,' police said in a news release. Linked to second incident Further investigation revealed the same suspect was involved in a similar robbery at the same location only the day before. On July 17, members of the BEAR Unit, with assistance from other officers, located and arrested the woman at a residence on Windsor Street. The accused is charged with two counts of robbery with a weapon. She appeared in court on Friday and was remanded into custody, with a future court date scheduled.

A group of men armed with a gun have stormed a home in Sydney's southwest, assaulting one of its occupants while two children were also inside. The home on Ardennes Ave at Edmonson Park was targeted at about 1.45am on Monday. Police say the three armed men forced their way into the home, then threatened and assaulted a 48-year-old man and a 12-year-old boy. 'An 11-year-old boy was also inside the house at the time … The two children were uninjured,' NSW Police said in a statement. The intruders stole several items, including jewellery, and fled in an unknown vehicle. The 48-year-old man was treated at the scene by paramedics for facial injuries. The two children were not physically injured. Police have set up a crime scene at the house.
