Woman charged after train collision
A woman has been charged after colliding with a train in Blandford-Blenheim Township on June 7. At approximately 5:30 a.m., police responded to a collision involving a car and a train. The driver of the vehicle, a 38-year-old female was charged with dangerous operation and operation while impaired. She was taken to the hospital with minor injuries and has been released from custody. The accused is scheduled to appear in court in Woodstock on July 15.

2 pedestrians injured after Prescott, Ont. collision with pickup truck
The intersection of King E St. and Edward St. in Prescott, Ont. Two pedestrians were taken to hospital after they were struck by a pickup truck Saturday. (Jack Richardson/CTV News Ottawa) Two pedestrians were taken to hospital after they were struck by a pickup truck in downtown Prescott, Ont. Saturday morning, according to police. Ontario Provincial Police staff Sgt. Cynthia Savard told CTV News that officers responded to the collision at the intersection of King E. Street and Edward Street at approximately 11:50 a.m. A utility trailer was attached to the pickup at the time of the crash, Savard said. The victims, a man and a woman in their early 20s, were taken to hospital by paramedics. The woman suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries, Savard said. The man had minor injuries. The male driver has been charged with dangerous operation, police say. The roads in the area reopened at approximately 2:50 p.m. An investigation continues. Prescott is located approximately 95 kilometres southwest of downtown Ottawa.
