
Early morning crash leads to impaired driving charges
According to Southern Georgian Bay OPP, officers responded to a report of a black pick up truck that crashed into a pole around the area of Champlain road near Tiny Concession Road 16.
Officers conducted an impaired driving investigation and as a result a 45-year-old man from Tiny Township faces charges including:
Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
Operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs
Dangerous operation
Fail to Remain
Fail to have currently validated plates
The accused was released from custody with a future court date and his licence was also suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded for seven days.

Driver suffers ‘life-altering' injuries after single-vehicle crash north of Kingston

(Source: OPP Central Region) Ontario Provincial Police say a 28-year-old driver suffered critical injuries after a single-vehicle crash north of Kingston early Sunday morning. Police say officers responded to reports of a crash shortly after 12:15 a.m. on Wilmer Road in the village of Perth Road. The driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was transported to hospital with 'life-altering' and 'potentially life-threatening' injuries. The crash led to the closure of Wilmer Road for several hours but it has since reopened. An investigation is ongoing. The crash site is located approximately 25 kilometres north of Kingston and 145 kilometres southwest of downtown Ottawa. Three charged after early-morning metal theft in Palmerston
Three people are facing charges after allegedly stealing metal from a business in Palmerston early Saturday morning. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police were called just before 4 a.m. for a report of three males stealing metal from a local business. Police said the suspects fled the scene when officers arrived, but were later located and arrested. A 33-year-old from Listowel, a 35-year-old from Listowel and a 40-year-old from Atwood have all been charged with theft under $5,000, possession of break-in instruments and break and enter.
