Colombian singer Maluma calls out mother in audience at his latest concert
Latin superstar Maluma has publicly called out a mother in the audience at his latest concert.
The urban pop singer, 31, was performing in Mexico City at the weekend as part of his '+Pretty +Dirty' world tour, when he noticed a woman in the crowd holding a small baby.
Taking to his microphone, Maluma spoke directly to the woman who decided to bring her bub along, asking in Spanish, 'With all due respect, how old are they?'
He continued, 'A year old? Less? Do you think it's a good idea to bring a one-year-old baby to a concert where the decibels are this f**king high? Where is the sound this loud? That baby doesn't even know what it's doing here.'
Maluma, who welcomed his first child in March last year, issued a warning to the mother, urging her to 'be a bit more aware.'
'Next time, protect their ears or something. For real. It's heavy. It's your responsibility. You're waving them around like they're a toy,' he said.
'That baby doesn't want to be there, for real. I'm telling you with all love and respect, now that I'm a father … would never bring them to a concert. For the next time, be a bit more aware.'
Maluma, whose real name is Juan Luis Londoño Arias, has collaborated with the likes of The Weeknd, Madonna and Shakira since his mainstream breakthrough with his 2015 album Pretty Boy, Dirty Boy.
He made his feature film debut in the 2022 rom-com Marry Me, playing the love interest of Jennifer Lopez's character.
The star and his long-term girlfriend, Susana Gomez, welcomed daughter Paris last year.
Taking to Instagram at the time, Maluma described his new baby as the 'love of our lives'.
'On March 9th at 8:23 A.M. the love of our lives Paris Londoño Gomez was born,' he wrote in Spanish.
'Thank you all for your birthday messages and well wishes.
'Susana. Love: Thank you for fulfilling my biggest dream of being a Father, I will never forget that moment.'
