The Sarnia Police Service have arrested a driver for alleged impaired driving, thanks to a call from a citizen.
On Saturday just before 8 p.m., police received the report of a potential impaired driver. Police said a woman was out of her vehicle, acting erratically on Russell Street.
The vehicle didn't appear to be moving, according to a news release, so neighbours tried to move it for her, but said the driver appeared intoxicated.
Police arrived and said the suspect was showing signs of alcohol intoxication, trying to get back into the vehicle.
Officers arrested the driver and towed the car. After two breath samples, the SPS said the driver was more than twice the legal limit.
A 38-year-old woman of Sarnia has been charged with impaired driving and impaired driving over .08.
The SPS encourages everyone to call and report suspected impaired drivers to 911.
