15 university students killed in Malaysia bus crash
In Malaysia's deadliest road accident in over a decade, 15 university students were killed when the bus they were riding in struck a minivan and overturned on Monday.
Police say the bus was carrying 44 passengers when it hit the minivan on an expressway in the northern state of Perak. The students were on their way back to their university.
In addition to the 15 dead, 33 others were injured, including the bus driver and attendant, as well as the people in the minivan.
Police suspect the bus went out of control, and are investigating the cause of the accident.
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has instructed the education ministry to coordinate the necessary assistance to the families of the students.
