'It's not an easy decision, especially considering all the memories and moments I've experienced here, but it feels right. 'This club took me in as a young boy, nurtured me, and helped shape me into who I am today – not just as a player, but as a person, both on and off the pitch. For that, I will be forever grateful. 'I can't thank you enough' 'To the Club, the Chairman, the incredible supporters, all the coaches – from development to the first team – and, most of all, to my teammates, who I've had the privilege of sharing a locker room with for all these years, I can't thank you enough. You've all been a part of this journey, and I'll carry those moments with me forever. 'It's been an honor to represent one of the biggest clubs on the continent for so long, especially at such a young age. 'I'm proud of what we've achieved together, and I know my family shares that pride. But as much as this chapter has meant to me, it's time for me to embrace new challenges and see the full extent of the potential I know I have. 'My blood is Red, my skin is black, and my bones are white. Thank you for everything. Once and Always.' Meanwhile, Phakaaathi understands that Tshobeni will be joined by his now ex-Pirates teammate Goodman Mosele at the Chilli Boys. Mosele is set to spend the season on loan.

'Mofokeng won't be effecting playing with Appollis unless...' – Ex-Pirates keeper warns

Former Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper William Shongwe has explained how Orlando Pirates can use Relebohile Mofokeng with the signing of Oswin Appollis. In the past three seasons, Mofokeng has operated on the left side; however, during the pre-season in Spain, the 20-year-old shifted to the ring wing. Shongwe feels the youngster won't be as effective playing as a right winger 'Right now, results aren't the main objective. The coach is looking for a particular combination, and it appears he is still unsure about it,' Shongwe told KickOff. 'The arrival of Appollis has changed the team's structure. Mofokeng has been shifted to the right side to accommodate Appollis,' said the ex-Pirates keeper. 'We don't know if Mofokeng will be effective on the right. Yes, he scored against Pafos, but I didn't see the usual impact he has when playing on the left. 'If Mofokeng plays wide on the right and the opposition's full-back gets past him, he may become irrelevant to the play,' added Shongwe. 'This could overload Van Rooyen. However, if he plays as an inverted winger, he could help strengthen the midfield.' Mofokeng has been linked with a move away from Pirates this transfer window. His former teammate Mohau Nkota has already left for Saudi Arabia. Let us know by leaving a comment below, or send a WhatsApp to 060 011 0211. From Buccaneer to Glamour Boy: Monyane finds fresh air at Chiefs

Former Orlando Pirates defender Thabiso Monyane says he has been embracing a new culture since joining Kaizer Chiefs last month. The 25-year-old was one of the players released by the Buccaneers last month. Since joining Chiefs, Monyane has been hitting the ground hard during pre-season. He was part of the Amakhosi team which toured the Netherlands for their pre-season training. Following a 2-1 loss to FC Twente in their last match in the Netherlands, the ex-Pirates star said they conceded goals in the critical phase of the match. 'We conceded twice in critical phases of the game,' he said. 'That was tough. We worked so hard to get back into the game and then we conceded a goal so late. 'However, we learn from this. I always say, 'you never lose, you always learn'.' he was quoted on Chiefs website. Monyane revealed he received a warm welcome from the Kaizer Chiefs family upon leaving Pirates. 'I have been received well by the technical team, the players and the staff, arriving from the other side of Soweto,' the right-back says about his reception as a Glamour Boy. 'It has been a breath of fresh air and I am embracing a new culture.' Kaizer Chiefs have played five friendly matches during their pre-season camp in the Netherlands and Monyane feels the team has made massive progress in the two weeks. 'I feel that there has been massive progression since we played our first game against Vitesse last week Tuesday,' the 25-year-old reflects. 'Our time in the Netherlands, facing really good opponents, has been a top-top experience,' Monyane said. Let us know by leaving a comment below, or send a WhatsApp to 060 011 0211.
