Cornwall McDonald's secures top position for five-star ratings nationwide
A McDonald's in Cornwall boasts the highest percentage of five-star ratings nationwide, beating out locations in major cities like London and Norwich.
A new study conducted by QR Code Generator, which analysed Google ratings, has crowned the McDonald's at Cornwall Services in St Austell as the best-rated in the entire United Kingdom.
The research analysed the percentage of five-star and one-star Google reviews for all McDonald's outlets across the UK to determine which locations consistently delighted customers and which fell short.
Cornwall Services emerged as the clear leader, with an impressive 52.42 per cent of its Google reviewers awarding it a five-star rating."

In addition, this busy outlet used by thousands weekly also managed to keep negative feedback to a minimum, with only 6.18 per cent of users leaving one-star reviews, contributing to an overall Google review rating of 4.1.
Cornwall also appears to be a hotspot for happy McDonald's customers.

Not far behind, the Newquay McDonald's on Treloggan Road ranked third in Cornwall (56th) in the UK with 44.49 per cent of reviews awarding top marks.

This branch saw 52.26 per cent of its reviews hit the five-star mark, with a low 8.70 per cent one-star reviews, and a Google rating of 4.1.

Commenting on the findings, Marc Porcar, CEO of QR Code Generator, said: 'According to a YouGov survey, McDonald's is in the top three most popular dining brands in the UK for 2025, beating out its competitors such as Burger King and KFC.
"Only Greggs is favoured more than the double arches among millennials, highlighting many young Brits' favour for affordable, on-the-go bites."
He added: 'However, just because each McDonald's restaurant bears the famous name, it may not mean all are equal in the eyes of customers, as our results suggest.
"Customer satisfaction appears to vary widely across the nation, with Cornwall Services taking top spot. For holidaymakers on their way to or from the south-west coast, it may be one to keep in mind for a pitstop, and an enjoyable meal for their travels.'
