PETALING JAYA : A foreign woman who crashed into three motorcycles and attacked several people with a knife at a traffic light intersection in Kajang yesterday was reportedly stressed by life in Malaysia and unhappy with her treatment while studying in the country. Kajang police chief Naazron Yusof said the 24-year-old, a student at a public university, had been remanded for seven days until Aug 20. 'So far, statements have been taken from 11 witnesses, including the victims,' he said in a statement today. 'Two victims who were hospitalised are in stable condition and remain under observation.' The incident occurred at 11.58am when the woman, driving a car in a reckless manner, rammed into three motorcycles at a traffic light junction before getting out with a knife and attacking members of the public. The case is being investigated under Section 307 of the Penal Code for attempted murder, Section 279 of the Penal Code for reckless driving, and Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for negligent driving.

KUCHING, May 18 — A 25-year-old foreign woman was found dead after falling from the 12th floor of an apartment building in Jalan Daya near Kampung Bintawa here last night. The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said they were notified about the incident at 8.21pm and firefighters from the Tabuan Jaya fire station were dispatched to the scene. 'Upon arrival, it was found that a foreign woman had fallen from the 12th floor to the first floor of the apartment building. 'The firefighters team then used a stretcher to lift the deceased's body for preliminary investigation by the paramedics and the police,' it said in a statement. A preliminary investigation revealed that the deceased had been living in a unit on the 12th floor.
