The world's largest hot dog chain announces partnership with Walmart
Walmart shoppers will soon find Wienerschnitzel locations inside select stores. The hot dog chain announced its plans to open six restaurants inside Walmart locations this fall. The restaurants will be located at stores in Washington, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, and California. The partnership will help the world's largest hot dog chain branch out and bring more stores to the Eastern US. 'Wienerschnitzel has spent decades building a strong reputation, especially on the West Coast, and this expansion into Walmart stores signifies a new era of growth for the brand,' said Wienerschnitzel's director of franchise expansion Shak Turner. Wienerschnitzel's Walmart menus will feature fan-favorite items like its Chili Cheese Dogs, Junkyard Dogs, chili cheese fries, jalapeño poppers, and Tastee Freez deserts. The restaurant chain has approximately 340 locations throughout 13 states and more than 50 US units in development. Walmart and Wienerschnitzel have not revealed if they plan to open more restaurants together in the future. The hot dog chain's partnership with Walmart will help it branch out and bring more stores to the Eastern US Walmart frequently looks for prospective tenants to enter its stores and is excited for Wienerschnitzel to be part of it. Before Wienerschnitzel, Walmart entered partnerships with brands like Burger King McDonald's, Taco Bell, and Subway. The partnership is one of many changes the retailer will be undergoing this year. All of what's to come began in 2023 after Walmart unveiled a $9 billion makeover for 1,400 stores. The newest design began a small rollout in Arkansas in 2024, and is in the process of expanding to 650 stores this year. Walmart also debuted a new logo in January, which unimpressed shoppers believed looked similar to the old one. Other 'exciting' Walmart changes include an expansion of fuel station convenience stores and a revamped delivery system to compete with Amazon. Besides revamps, Walmart has been forced to make some unpopular changes due to tariffs imposed by President Donald Trump. Walmart said it is excited for its partnership with Wienerschnitzel The retail empire announced it would hike its prices after warning customers this was a possible result of tariffs. Walmart employees leaked photos of price increases showing that some products have seen an 80 percent cost hike. Wienerschnitzel has also made changes recently, including a partnership with Presto Phoenix for AI-driven voice ordering technology and new franchise agreements. Like fast food chain hamburgers, the price of hot dogs could potentially be altered if they are imported from other countries. As of now, it is unclear if Wienerschnitzel plans to raise its menu prices as a result of the tariffs.

‘Scream 7' Is Getting a Time Jump From the Franchise's Previous Installments
Details regarding Scream 7 are starting to trickle out as the horror franchise detours back into a story with its original remaining stars. As original film scribe Kevin Williamson takes the helm of a Scream film for the first time, he's bringing it all together with Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) and Gale Weathers (Courtney Cox) as they encounter ghosts of friends and ghostfaces past, including David Arquette, Scott Foley, and Matthew Lillard. Some of the Scream reboot core cast also remains, with Mason Gooding and Jasmine Savoy reprising their roles as the Meeks twins But now there's the development that the film will jump ahead in time for a 'really cool reason' as shared by the film's writer Guy Busick to Busick continued to elaborate why the movie has become a Sidney-centered story, making the series' original final girl once again the lead. 'I don't want to give anything away about the reason [Scream 7] had to be a Sidney movie because there's a really cool reason,' Busick told ComicBook. 'In all these movies, you have to ask, 'Why now? What is the thing Scream is commenting on now?' Scream is always in a conversation with the audience about the state of movies, the state of horror movies and in particular, franchises.' He shared that her participation was tantamount to the new installment's themes. 'We went to Neve Campbell and said, 'This is why. This is why Sidney now.' Neve was like, 'Oh, I get that.' I pitched Kevin [Williamson] this first, too. He got it and then I pitched the studio.' He added that the new movie will not be set in New York, as the previous film was. It will also feature a time jump. 'I don't want to be the one to spoil where it is,' Busick said; he also was vague on the time shift, but for seemingly less spoiler-y reasons. 'It's an unspecified amount of time [after Scream VI]. I might get contradicted by other people, but in my mind, more than two years. I would say at least two years. It could be two years, but I would say two years plus.' Many are rightfully mad that Melissa Barrera was controversially pushed out of leading the franchise's rebirth, and the repercussions of that might affect the interest with this particular sequel. It remains to be seen if bringing back so many past characters will be enough to compensate for perhaps wrongfully abandoning the Carpenter sisters storyline. In the meantime we'll be wondering if it's back to Woodsboro we go! Scream 7 will hit theaters February 27, 2026.
