Serena Kerrigan Talks With Neutrogena About New Steamy Romance Series
If you ask Serena Kerrigan, the multi-hyphenate media personality best known for sharing unfilitered dating commentary with her millions of followers online, how to achieve the best skin glow, she'll say, 'Romance novels and Neutrogena's new Collagen Bank 15 Percent Vitamin C Serum.' It's no wonder Kerrigan has teamed up with the drugstore brand on the product launch, announced Monday, by releasing two raunchy short stories as part of its 'Bank Your Glow' campaign, a timely initiative that encourages women to stimulate their inner desires for an outward-facing shine. According to Kerrigan, each tale centers around a different plot, one of which is motivated by her own dating experience and the other is inspired by traditional fantasy tropes. More from WWD The 5 Best Eye Creams With SPF That Brighten, Depuff, and Protect, Tested by Editors Introducing Almave Humo, Lewis Hamilton's New Non-alcoholic Mezcal Alternative The Top 3 Trending Summer Hair Styles Our Editors Tested With Expert-Approved Products 'The 'Bank Your Glow' stories are cheeky, sexy and inspired by my real-life energy. They're playful and a little kitschy. Just like the serum, they leave you glowing by the end,' Kerrigan exclusively told WWD. Romance novels have been a crucial part of Kerrigan's nightly routine for years. 'A few spicy chapters completely shift my mood,' she explained. But they do more than that; they instantly induce a natural flush. Neutrogena's Collagen Bank 15 Percent Vitamin C Serum, designed with the brand's patented collagen-building micro-peptide technology, does the same. After the shower, while her skin is still damp, Kerrigan will apply the product and top it off with a juicy page-turner once she's settled. 'Just like a good spicy read gives you that flushed, just-had-a-moment glow, so does this serum,' she urged. Kerrigan and Neutrogena's mutual understanding of the symbiotic effects of romance fiction on beauty is at the heart of this collaboration. 'When Neutrogena asked me to write a steamy short story series to launch their new Collagen Bank 15 Percent Vitamin C Serum, I immediately said yes. It felt fresh, fun and completely aligned with me,' Kerrigan said. While she doesn't mention the product name inside the pages of her intimate tales, the concept of a 'post-serum glow' is a major motif. The first story focuses on the main character, Amelie, who spontaneously ventures out to a downtown bar on a Wednesday night, where she meets Sam. 'What begins as a flirty nightcap with a stranger quickly turns into an unforgettable evening: tea, tension and tangled sheets,' the official synopsis reads. 'But the real twist comes the next morning, when a glowing skincare moment leads to a surreal exit — Amelie accidentally finds herself locked out of his apartment, half-dressed and empty-handed, yet glowing with so much confidence she struts into the morning brighter than she arrived.' The second story centers around a woman named Grace, who finds herself escaping to the Hamptons one weekend. There, she runs into her college crush, Luca. 'As the night unfolds, flirtation gives way to something deeper — and Grace realizes the glow she was chasing was never about him. It was hers all along,' the description reads. 'Bank Your Glow' builds upon the burgeoning group of romance book lovers online, garnering more than 4.7 billion views under #steamybooktok on TikTok alone. The nostalgia of romance fiction, specifically the fan fiction subgenre, is also baked into this collaboration. Interested readers are being directed to download the book on Wattpad, a creative storytelling platform famed for its diverse portfolio of passion-driven fiction. Charlotte Tilbury On Her Pioneering ‘Glow' & Legacy Of Bottling Magic
Charlotte Tilbury / Image: Mecca Beauty For the first time ever, Charlotte Tilbury, the flame-haired godmother of glow, has touched down in Sydney, and to say Australia's beauty community was excited would be an understatement. TikTokers, industry insiders and makeup devotees alike practically levitated at the chance to see her in person, and with good reason. With her whimsical presence, know-how and disruptive ideas, few have changed the face of beauty—quite literally—like she has. With over three decades under her belt, Tilbury's impact spans red carpets, runways and real life, from the airbrushed perfection of Amal Clooney and Kate Moss to the everyday faces transformed by her now-iconic Magic Cream or 'Pillow Talk' Lipstick. But Tilbury's magic isn't confined to makeup. She's a storyteller, a strategist and, as any beauty editor worth their setting spray will tell you, a true visionary. Over a lengthy conversation with GRAZIA, Tilbury is warm, animated, and refreshingly unfiltered. She speaks in colour and metaphor, punctuating each point with an enthusiastic 'darling!' and the kind of wisdom that only comes from decades of mastering her craft. 'Good makeup is good lighting in a bottle,' she explains. 'That's the secret. On set, we're always using lighting to sculpt, blur, and beautify. I wanted to bring that to every woman's makeup bag… It's the 'Paris' filter, bottled.' While countless brands have tried to replicate her effect, none have quite cracked the code. 'I'm obsessed with formulas,' she says. 'I drive my scientists mad. I make them rework things over and over. So when someone dupes it, it's not just unfair, it's dangerous.' While discussing how budget dupes can end up costing us a lot more than dollars in the long term, Tilbury shared her concerns for consumers looking to dupes, urging that what may be replicated on the outside cannot be replicated on the inside. 'They're not [interested] in helping the consumer,' she urges. 'More than anything, it's what it does to everyday people that's not okay because [they're] duping people into thinking that it's going to perform the same when it's not.' Leveraging this trust that other people and brands have worked hard to cultivate and build upon becomes particularly dicey with skincare and makeup. 'You're putting this on your face,' she emphasises. 'If you ruin someone's relationship with makeup, you can ruin their confidence. That's sacred.' Charlotte Tilbury And confidence, for Tilbury, is everything. It's the invisible yet powerful ingredient she infuses into every product and every client interaction, from the subtly sculpting Lip Cheat liner to the whisper-light Unreal Skin Sheer Glow Stick, which both Kate Moss and Sienna Miller use to fake that elusive 'clean' makeup that enables them to still look like themselves—just a little more lit up .'They want something that they just scribble on in five minutes and don't look like they're wearing makeup because they like the 'no makeup' makeup.' Her genius lies in that balance between fantasy and function. 'I always say, makeup isn't just a surface-level thing,' she says. 'I've seen it in my chair so many times. Someone comes in feeling flat or invisible, and then they look in the mirror, and they light up. There's this shift in energy. It's real.' And it's this shift that Tilbury believes can change the world. 'If you go on to change one person, you can change a community… It's a ripple effect.' Though so much of her work is amplified on red carpets and A-list soirees, it's the everyday folks at home, hastily dabbing on concealer in their car mirrors and rushing off to their 9-5s that drive the beauty visionary to innovating and perfecting formulas to make them as efficient and efficacious as possible. 'I'm thinking about those women who are going, 'I can't', and that [sparks] my passion,' she says. 'They're the raison d'être for me, doing my brand right.' Before launching her namesake brand in 2013, Tilbury had already built a formidable reputation as one of the most sought-after makeup artists in the world. Her artistry graced the covers of many magazines, runway shows for Tom Ford, Stella McCartney, and McQueen, as well as the Met Gala looks of the Hollywood elite. But her beauty obsession began long before that in Ibiza, as a wide-eyed 11-year-old watching Mary Greenwell—a family friend—do makeup for supermodels on Vogue . Image credit: Mecca Beauty 'From a young age, I was first fascinated by the power of makeup and why someone who felt confident looked beautiful,' she says. 'I became obsessed with the psychology of what makes someone have that confidence, and thought, ' Why can't everyone have that feeling?'' It's that sense of transformation that underpins every Tilbury product. Magic Cream, for instance, wasn't developed in a sterile boardroom, but backstage, in the chaos of fashion week. Years before 'skin barrier health' was popularised, the makeup artist saw her fair share of damage. 'Models were exhausted doing 3 or 5 am starts and then working well into the night and just using baby wipes on their skin… More makeup before getting [back] on stage,' she recalls. 'Their skin was wrecked. I created Magic Cream to help them regain their glow. 28 seconds to gorgeous skin.' It was a backstage secret for years before she bottled it. She's as much a scientist as she is an artist. Obsessive about texture, payoff, and finish and uncompromising with what she puts out into the world. One of her foolproof bases, which she lovingly refers to as the 'JLo sandwich' technique (using the Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray between layers of the Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder), has become the stuff of red-carpet legend. 'It's the most flawless, poreless, skin-smoothing combo. Once you try it, you'll never do glam any other way.' (Photo by Stephane Cardinale – Corbis/Corbis via Getty Images) But for all the celebrity sparkle, Tilbury's fundamental mission is to democratise beauty and amplify what already makes us beautiful. 'I believe everyone can look and feel beautiful. Makeup should be easy, intuitive, and powerful. That's why I created 'Pillow Talk', which was inspired by the beauty of natural pigments. There's something about it… Everyone looks prettier in pink.' That belief in beauty as empowerment rather than a disguise is what sets her apart. Drawn to women with presence and magnetism, she has spent her career studying them, trying to understand what it is that transforms us. 'It's about energy. It's how you feel. Beauty helps us shape that—it's a tool, not a mask,' she explains. 'We are electromagnetic beings, and the way we feel affects how we are, and our thoughts become reality.' With the right arsenal, the founder firmly believes we can be anything and anyone we want to be. In fact, it's these worlds and characters that inspire her creations, with every shade and iteration a product of her real-life experiences with people and her ability to spot their needs from an up-close vantage. Tilbury's legacy isn't only in powders and palettes, but the millions of moments when someone looked in the mirror, smiled, and felt like their most radiant self. That, truly, is the real magic. Revealed: The secret to Lindsay Lohan's youthful appearance at Freakier Friday premiere
Lindsay Lohan showed off her youthful and very taut face at the Hollywood premiere of Freakier Friday this week - and the secret to how she achieves her glow has now been revealed. The Mean Girls actress, 39 - who recently made a rare comment on her 'public downfall' - has sought treatments from Beverly Hills dermatologist Dr. Monika Kiripolsky. On Monday, the dermatologist uploaded a selfie alongside the actress following an appointment in preparation for Lohan's red carpet appearance at the El Capitan Theatre. Kiripolsky wrote, 'When your patient is literally the star of the show… and also the glow. ✨ Always an honor to treat the radiant @lindsaylohan - proof that great skin is ALWAYS in! 'From Mean Girls to mom glow… she's still got that Lohan luminosity. Can't wait to see her shine (and swap lives?) in the upcoming Freakier Friday - her skin's already ready to rock that red carpet.' Social media users flocked to the comment section to share their thoughts on Lohan's flawless skin, with some asking the specific treatments that the mom-of-one has had. However, the dermatologist replied that 'due to patient confidentiality, I can't say what treatments I've done. 'But, EVERY patient in our practice is offered the most cutting-edge combination of lasers, peels, injectables, lipo, and other amazing treatments... Always customized to that particular patient and his/her goals.' Lohan began to appear on Kiripolsky's Instagram page last year, and the actress herself has also credited the celebrity dermatologist for her radiant skin. During an interview with Byrdie earlier this month, the star expressed, 'I'm also big on staying consistent with my routines so I feel my best. 'That includes regular visits to my Los Angeles dermatologist, Dr. Monika Kiripolsky, whenever I'm in town for work.' Lohan continued, 'She helps keep my skin healthy and glowing especially during breaks from heavy on-set makeup.' While talking to Elle back in May for a cover story, the actress addressed plastic surgery rumors after photos of the star went viral last year over her youthful transformation. The topic was brought up when Lohan revealed that she has been in the process of potentially creating her own beauty line. 'It's taking a long time because I'm very specific, because I'm crazy about my skin and health,' she explained. SNL star Chloe Fineman - who interviewed Lindsay - complimented Lohan on having the 'skin of dreams.' In response, the mom-of-one stated, 'Everyone does Botox,' before Fineman encouraged the actress to share some of her beauty secrets. 'Oh, God, I don't even know how to answer that. I drink this juice every morning. It's like carrot, ginger, lemon, olive oil, apple. I also drink a lot of green tea, a lot of water. I'm a big pickled beets person, so I put them in almost everything. 'My skin care is very specific. I'm trying out some serums now that I'm doing - I'm testing them,' she continued. 'Also, I'm a big believer in ice-cold water on your face when you wake up. I drink lemon juice a lot; I also put tons of chia seeds in my water. Eye patches, I do every morning. I'm into lasers.' In regards to her 'glow-up,' Lohan also shared the negative side to it. Her publicist chimed in to say, 'Yeah, but you know what the problem is with you being beautiful women - the second she looks any different, they assume she had her face lifted at 37 or 38, that she ripped apart this or that. It's so mean.' Lohan then added, 'I'm like, when? With what time? Where?' It came after her dad Michael confirmed that his daughter has had cosmetic treatments done. During an interview with Page Six last year, he denied that Lohan has undergone plastic surgery but said she has done 'peels, fillers and Botox.' 'Lindsay never had any plastic surgery done ever. Her look [is] so natural - just like her talent.' Earlier this week on Tuesday, the actress turned heads as she attended the Hollywood premiere of Disney's sequel Freakier Friday at the El Capitan Theatre. She stunned wearing a pastel pink gown that flowed down towards the ground and contained sparkling details on the material. Her blonde locks were parted in the middle, and cascaded down past her shoulders in elegant waves. Lohan was joined by her rarely-seen husband Bader Shammas - whom he tied the knot with in 2022. The couple also share a son named Luai, two. Lohan has reprised her role as Anna Coleman in the upcoming film, alongside Jamie Lee Curtis, Chad Michael Murray, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Julia Butters and Ryan Malgarini. The premise is: '22 years after Tess and Anna endured an identity crisis, Anna now has a daughter and a soon-to-be stepdaughter. 'As they navigate the challenges that come when two families merge, Tess and Anna discover that lightning might strike twice,' per IMDB. The fantasy comedy film, which was directed by Nisha Ganatra, is set to hit theaters next month on August 8.

Skincare secrets Stacey's radiant skin is the envy of her followers as she often shows off her glowing complexion in her glamorous social media snaps. As well as launching her own clothing ranges with various stylish brands, Stacey has also become actively involved in the beauty industry. She pursued her first ever business venture by becoming a co-owner of REHAB Hair, which has now also expanded into skincare. She joined REHAB as a co-owner alongside Vicky Ellis and Anastasia Tozer and swears by the brand's products, keeping her skin looking radiant with the new range. Stacey has been proudly plugging REHAB's new Body Retreat collection - which has been two years in the making - on her Instagram in recent days and amazed fans with her radiant launch day appearance. The move has reimagined REHAB's best-selling capsule oils as a hydrating body oil while the collection also features a body brush, body wash sheets and body scrubs. Stacey has also previously sworn by L'Oreal Paris Age Perfect Cell Renew Midnight Serum, which helps the skin to renew and rejuvenate overnight. Always recommending new products, Stacey has also shared her love for L'Oreal Paris' Revitalift Clinical Serum. Her luscious, glossy locks have also been long-admired by her fans, and she was plugging REHAB's products long before investing in the business. The brand's range of capsules aim to 'reinvigorate tired hair to its full glossy potential', according to the brand's website. Stacey then became part-owner of the independent hair care brand back in September 2023, marking her first ever investment. Exercise regime As part of her 2025 New Year's resolutions, Stacey shared her goals to embrace a healthier lifestyle. She revealed she had forked out on some brand new gym gear in a bid to motivate herself to keep fit, and asked her fans to help hold her 'accountable' as she shared her journey. The Loose Women star shared a snap of her perfectly organised workout clothes in a whole host of colours and wrote: 'Gym drawers - done.' 'Now to put these pretty colours to use, tomorrow morning before the kids get up. I'm going for my first run of 2025. I've said it now I have to commit,' she continued. 'Happy Sunday. I got up and went for a run. Proud of me. But also counting on you guys to hold me acceptable.' Stacey also keeps fit with the help of her sister Samantha Stone, who works as a personal trainer at fitness club Barry's UK and an ambassador for Nike Training Club Stacey also keeps fit with the help of her sister Samantha Stone, who works as a personal trainer at fitness club Barry's UK and an ambassador for Nike Training Club. While her other sibling Jemma regularly appears on her social media and even featured in Stacey's BBC reality show, Samantha enjoys a life away from the spotlight. However, Samantha very occasionally features in Stacey's gym content on her Instagram page and helps to keep the TV star in top shape. Back in 2023, Stacey praised her sister for helping to 'motivate' her and feel 'better' in herself as she admitted she finds it 'so hard' to do by herself. Alongside a snap of her lifting weights, she wrote: 'I'll be honest I find everything so hard. But I've got so much better and stronger and I'm so proud of the fact that even though I genuinely do not get excited to start exercising I do it. For myself. 'And so grateful my sister fills me with motivation. I have the craziest work, family schedule atm and honestly it's given me so much energy. 'I feel so much better in myself. I don't care what I look like. It's never bothered me and I love my body and all it's done for me. 'I just wanted to feel good and get my energy back and showing up and exercising is doing that for me.' Nutrition Stacey and her husband Joe Swash are both passionate about their cooking and often appear in videos together showing off their family recipes. Cooking for her five children can sometimes be a challenge, and Stacey is a champion of quick and easy dishes that are perfect for busy families. In fact, Stacey and Joe even partnered with HelloFresh back in 2022 for a string of adverts as they promoted healthy and balanced meals. Discussing Stacey's healthy lifestyle, a source also told Closer Magazine that she has cut down on white bread and pasta and loves snacking on blueberries and watermelon. 'Stacey's aware of what she's putting into her body, and she eats far less processed food as a rule,' they claimed. 'She also watches her salt and sugar levels too, as too much can make her bloat.' Stacey also has an iron deficiency and has long been an advocate for supplements, helping her to reach her nutrition goals. Body positivity While showing off her glamorous lifestyle, Stacey has always been committed to producing down-to-earth and relatable content for her followers. She often promotes body positivity on her Instagram platform and has repeatedly been praised by fans for candidly speaking about her body image. Last summer, Stacey was lauded by her followers for admitting she felt 'conscious' about the way she looked while sharing a bikini snap to social media. The mother-of-five admitted that she didn't feel very confident about her body after not being able to work out at the gym as much as last year, but defiantly noted that she still felt 'beautiful'. She penned: 'I haven't committed to the gym this year the way I was able to last year. I don't know why but for some reason I was conscious about it before coming away. I Worried people would notice (so silly I know as I usually don't even think about those things, but I felt a weird pressure). 'However looking back on pics from the beach yesterday I can see I'm still so beautiful. I look a little different from my last holiday but just as beautiful. 'Doing my everything to make sure my girls know how beautiful they are and don't measure their beauty against anyone else. And do the things they love because they make them feel good, not look a certain way.' Fans of Stacey were quick to share their support as they flooded the comments with compliments, noting that she was a role model for her daughters.
