ITV This Morning star admits 'I'm there' as they eye up main hosting role
Since This Morning first began back in 1988 viewers have seen a string of well-known faces front the ITV show. This Morning's Cat Deeley took over the reins of the ITV programme alongside Ben Shephard in 2024, stepping into the shoes previously filled by Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield. Since their arrival, audiences have witnessed a roster of guest hosts including Rochelle Humes, Emma Willis, Rylan Clark and Paddy McGuinness filling in when needed. But it appears one ITV personality has set their sights firmly on the coveted presenting position - and they're certainly familiar with the programme. Former Made in Chelsea star turned broadcaster Ashley James has disclosed her ambitions to secure the hosting role. In conversation with The Sun, she revealed: "I've always said that I'm always there when the time comes. I would always love to host This Morning. "I kind of follow where my interests are, and it's got me to where I am today, and I'm always going to work harder than anyone else." The 38-year-old acknowledged her fortune, looking back on her entertainment career beginnings in 2012 when she had no industry connections whatsoever, reports Wales Online. Ashley disclosed that upon leaving her previous employment, appearing on This Morning became her primary objective. Her aspirations appear to have materialised, as ITV audiences regularly spot her as a guest panellist, frequently offering her perspective on current affairs alongside Nick Ferrari. She continued: "I wanted to be on This Morning because it's a show that I grew up idolising. It was the goal. So I love it and it's such an amazing team. I love everybody that's on there, both in front of the camera and and behind the scenes." Although Ashley hasn't taken up the mantle of presenter just yet, it was recently revealed that Love Island alum and Loose Women panellist Olivia Attwood will be taking the reins of the show this summer. During a chat about her upcoming gig with Ben and Cat, she expressed her enthusiasm. She said: "I'm going to be doing a couple of shows in the summer, I'm very excited to be joining you guys. "It's a huge honour, I've obviously grown up watching this show and being part of the Daytime team with the Loose Women has been the best experience and this just feels like a very natural progression of that." Ben and Cat have thrown their support behind Olivia, hinting that she'll do a 'brilliant' job in her new role. This Morning is available to watch on ITVX.

Freddy Brazier seen in public for first time since rehab admission
Jeff Brazier's son Freddy revealed recently that he has been addicted to 'smoking' from the age of 12 and will be seeking treatment to 'get clean' and is hoping to mend his family relationships Freddy Brazier has been spotted in public for the first time since revealing that he would be going to rehab. Jeff's youngest son with late Jade Goody, 20, appeared to be in a positive mood as he appeared at the VIP launch of Jurassic World: The Experience at Neon, Battersea Power Station, on Saturday. It comes after Freddy revealed on Friday that he has been addicted to "smoking" from the age of 12 and will be seeking treatment to 'get clean.' Regardless of his addiction struggle and family issues, Freddy seemed to be very upbeat as he arrived in a chequered £2,000 Louis Vuitton monogram denim jacket and khaki linen drawstring trousers. Posing in front of a realistic raptor statue as he held a can of Sprite, Freddy was among a variety of other famous faces including Made in Chelsea's Louise Thompson, Fearne Cotton and ex-PM Boris Johnson. Countdown star Rachel Riley was also spotted with her Strictly husband Pasha Kovalev as they dug inside a fossil pit. The night out follows a difficult time for Freddy as his relationship with dad Jeff is said to have strained to the point he left the family home and moved in with his maternal grandmother Jackiey Budden. Last week, Freddy wrote on his Instagram page that he's decided to take action in a bid to feel happy again and mend his relationships. He said: "I've decided that I will be cutting down and I want to go to Rehab In Marbs as I feel if I'm in England I won't take getting clean seriously. "I've been smoking from the age of 12 and it's time to stop. It was a bad coping mechanism that turned into an addiction, something I relied on and something that made me feel sane and some what OK "I've found a boxing club and a rehabilitation centre. Ive found someone I want to get to know and I'm happy. I got a good bunch of friends and I [want to] get out and enjoy myself. "I want to be clean so I can live happily and have healthy relationships with people and be there for all of my family rather then feeling like I'm in the middle and have to choose a side." He continued: "I haven't been able to feel loved properly as I have never loved myself and it starts now. I want to play football and take up boxing I want to be happy and be in a healthy relationship and have a healthy relationship with my Nana and my father "Every day is a new story about me and my Nana and father. It's getting boring now. Mind your business and have a good rest of the week x," he finished. Concern has grown for Freddy after it emerged he had left his dad's family home to spend more time with his maternal grandmother Jackiey. Freddy and Jeff had been known for their sweet bond, which was shown to viewers on BBC series Race Across the World last year. But it seems relations between the two have soured with Freddy getting closer to his late mum Jade's mother. The move is said to have devastated dad Jeff, who was reported to be taking legal action to stop the two hanging out. Defying his dad's orders, Freddy has been posting pictures with his gran, but worried fans with one post this week as he listed 'all the things he hates' about himself. Freddy wrote that he hates his "relationship with weed", "step parents" and said "I don't know how to love because I've never felt loved" and said he had "family issues". "Ah man this is gonna be sad to watch," one TikTok user wrote underneath Freddie's post. "Go home son, this is not what mum wanted for you sweetheart," another suggested as a third wrote: "Sending you love Fred! Watched you in Race Across the W orld & you're such a decent lad with so much potential." It looks like Freddy has a strained relationship with his big brother too, skipping Bobby's 22nd birthday festivities on Monday. According to The Sun, the party felt an air of "sadness" after Freddy's absence, where Bobby is said to have spent time with Jeff and stepmum Kate instead. Freddy was just four years old when his mother Jade died of cervical cancer in 2009. In the wake of Jade's death, Jeff threw himself into raising Freddy and Bobby and doing all he could to give his boys a stable childhood after suffering such a trauma.

Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo expecting their first child
Former Made in Chelsea stars Sophie Habboo and Jamie Laing are expecting their first child together. Announcing the news on Instagram, the pair shared a video of their scan and were flooded with well wishes from friends. Katherine Ryan joked the blob 'looks like Jamie', while Molly-Mae Hague sent her congratulations. This comes two years after the pair married in Chelsea Town Hall, and celebrated in style for a big bash in Marbella, Spain, with all their friends and family. Leading up to the big day, the pair launched a successful podcast called NearlyWeds, paving the way to Jamie becoming a Radio 1 presenter.
