Selfish act from bus passenger had me fuming, it's worse than people playing their videos out loud – how I got revenge
GETTING onto a busy bus is never fun, especially when you've got selfish passengers next to you. And one woman who got onto a crowded bus decided to get revenge on a rude commuter in the best way. 1 While on the bus, she said there was plenty of room to stand but the passenger decided to stand right next to her. While it was annoying considering how hot the weather was, she begrudgingly put up with it until matters got worse. But the woman soon began using her to lean on. "After a few moments, she started leaning her shoulder against mine," she explained. The woman said that she 'politely' asked the random person to 'move a little' bit away, because it was making her feel 'uncomfortable.' She said that it was 'basic manners' to keep your distance but the woman doubled down and used her as a 'human pillar'. The woman fumed: "I can't even tell how p***** off I was. So I decided to take my petty revenge. "Once she got 'comfortable' using me as her support again, I suddenly took a step back without warning. "So she lost her balance and fell down right away." The vengeful moment was a sure way to get the selfish passenger to think again before getting into someone's personal space. Chaotic moment brawl breaks out in packed Tube station with TODDLER stuck in middle of mayhem She said the woman "stood up," looked at her, "didn't say a word," and then "stood well away" from her for the rest of the ride. While many praised her for her move, many warned she could have been trying to pickpocket her while standing close. One person wrote: "On a bus in Delhi one time, a woman came and stood too close to me, and stretched her arm across my front to hold the same seat that I was holding. "Her shawl was draped over my handbag, so I put my hand in my handbag and found her hand in there! I shouted and she didn't move away, so then I stood firmly on her sandaled foot. Then she moved away. Nothing was missing yet, so it was okay." Somebody else said it was their 'first thought' that the woman was trying to 'rob' her, and that's why she was standing so close. "It's amazing how some people think their comfort trumps others' space," a third chimmed in, saying that there was no reason the woman should've been standing so close to her. Another pointed out: "The fact that she fell down when you moved back a bit just shows how much she was leaning on you. Some people have no manners or boundaries." A woman wrote: "She didn't have consent, and you did what you did. Good job! I can't fathom doing this in public at all."

I'm fuming with my selfish neighbour, where he's put a satellite dish is unreasonable & opening my window is a nightmare
A WOMAN was left fuming after her 'selfish' neighbour appeared to install a satellite dish right outside her window blocking the view of the garden. The upset woman claimed that he had put the device in a spot which didn't hinder his own view outside. 2 On her TikTok account, she showed photos of the offending dish attached to their connected house. She shared: 'POV: Neighbour enters his selfish era and puts the satellite dish where you look out, not where he does." The woman also showed the view from her garden and how closely the dish appeared to be installed to her window. She then asked internet users if she was overreacting to be upset - and it has sparked a debate online. One person pointed out: 'If a neighbor attaches something to their house that extends over your property line without your permission, it's considered an encroachment.' Another added: 'That's on your side lol he can't do that.' And many people suggested ways that she could take petty revenge. One offered up: 'Ok, so here's what you'll do- put some tin foil on your window, across the whole pane. 'Then open it right across the satellite dish. 'He won't get any reception whatsoever, - then he can move it, his choice. Your kids are breaking law if they kick their ball over neighbour's fence, High Court rules after couple sued next door 'This is level 1 petty. We have 52 stages remaining if needed….' However, some people said she take a more mature approach. One said: 'Did you try talking to him about the overhang? Maybe he just didn't realise and you're being a Karen not talking to him first about it.' In the UK, if your neighbour installs something on your property boundary without your permission, you generally have rights to address the situation. 2 This is particularly relevant if the item is physically attached to your property, like a satellite dish on your wall, or encroaches into your airspace or land. The first and most recommended step is to talk to your neighbour as many disputes can be resolved amicably through calm discussion. However, if direct communication fails, you can send a formal letter (ideally from a solicitor) stating that the item is on your property without permission and requesting its removal within a reasonable timeframe. I had a two-year bin war with my next door neighbour Gemma Smith and Sophie Wood were engaged in a weekly feud for a year over their wheelie bins. When Gemma moved next door to Sophie, 34, who is unemployed, in November 2020 they were civil to one another. Gemma, who is single and doesn't work due to stress, says: 'Sophie seemed nice and we'd stop and exchange pleasantries. 'But it all changed at the beginning of 2022, when Sophie's bin was full and she put her rubbish bag in mine. 'I took it out and put it on top of her bin. 'It fell off, gulls pecked at it and there was rubbish everywhere.' Both women refused to clear up the mess, claiming it was the other one's fault. Gemma says: 'I felt so angry. 'There was cat litter spread all over my drive — it was absolutely disgusting and we ended up shouting at each other. 'We were both as bad as each other — we'd walk past each other and I'd tell her she was a lazy cow and to clean up after herself. 'We'd scream insults at each other." Within six months Sophie had set up a CCTV camera and threatened to report Gemma to the council. In retaliation, Gemma set up the baby monitor — which can record video — to try to pin more wrongdoing on Sophie. Then last July Sophie spotted Gemma in tears on her doorstep following a burglary at her home. Gemma says: 'Sophie came straight round and asked if there was anything she could do. 'We are now the best of friends and help each other out all the time."

Man snubs grovelling ex-boss who fired his stepfather over 'trivial' dispute - then begged him for work years later
A man has revealed how he got the ultimate payback on his stepfather's old boss by turning him down for a lucrative contract years after the boss had fired his stepfather over a petty disagreement. Posting to Reddit 's Petty Revenge forum, the man detailed how the tables had turned spectacularly when he found himself in a position of power - and the former boss came crawling back. 'Back in 1997, my step-dad was the operations manager at a company that did telecommunications work,' the man wrote. 'He hired me to work at the company for the summer, but I ended up enjoying the work and made a career out of it.' Just four months into the job, however, things took an unexpected turn when his stepfather was abruptly fired by the company's owner following a minor disagreement. Despite this injustice, the original poster stayed on for another 18 months, citing his own frustrations with the company, including being underpaid and denied promised benefits, before moving on to a more promising role with a major telecommunications provider. Eventually, he climbed the ranks and landed a position where he was in charge of hiring contractors - companies just like the one that had once employed him and his stepfather. 'One day I got a call out of the blue from the owner of the contractor company,' he wrote. The same man who had once sacked his stepfather now wanted to do business with him. 'He wanted to see if he could get on my list of approved contractors and was hoping we could discuss it over lunch,' the man explained, noting that such contracts typically ranged between $75,000 to $200,000 each, and that he handled 20 to 30 projects a year. It was, in short, a potentially huge payday for the desperate boss. 'I agreed to a lunch date with the owner at a fancy restaurant I always wanted to try,' he continued. Over lunch, the boss made his pitch, talking up his company's capabilities, its employee-focused values and its record of high-quality work. 'I mentioned that I used to work for his company and he clearly didn't remember my name. I also asked if he remembered the guy who hired me, and he said he did. 'When I mentioned he was my step-dad, the look of panic in his eyes set in. He clearly remembered him. 'I closed out the lunch meeting with a thank you for the food and an apology that my contractor list was full of more capable contractors, but would keep him in mind if something were to change. I never heard back from him again.' The tale has since gone viral, racking up over 36,000 'upvotes' and sparking a flurry of comments applauding the satisfying twist of fate. One commenter summed up the mood, writing: 'Be nice to the people you see on your way up. You will see them again on your way down.' Another added: 'Karma is the great leveler in life.' The boss's reaction clearly struck a chord with many: 'The look of panic - you'll never forget that moment,' one user wrote, while another quipped: 'When karma drops off a nice meal on its way to do its thing, that's a double win.' Some users were curious to know how the man's stepfather reacted to the poetic justice, only to learn that he had sadly passed away before the fateful lunch meeting. But the man had shared the story with his mother, who 'got great joy out of it.' 'I just love the fact you're tight enough with your stepdad that you're more than willing to strike out for him,' one person commented. The original poster replied: 'I lived with him since I was three years old, so for all intents and purposes, he was my dad. 'He is 100 per cent the person I try to emulate in my morals, ethics and how I carry myself. Sadly he passed away several years ago.' Others reflected on the broader lesson behind the story, praising the man's sense of integrity. 'Karma is very real. Treat people fairly and (usually) it won't come back to bite you,' one person wrote.
