Women's hoops legend Nancy Lieberman rips Jeff Teague over controversial Caitlin Clark comments
Women's basketball legend Nancy Lieberman is tired of the Caitlin Clark slander. The Hall of Famer ripped into former NBA player Jeff Teague, who said Clark is 'good, but not that good' on his podcast in July. 'Jeff, I love you, you weren't a great player,' Lieberman jabbed on Wednesday's '3s and Ones' podcast. 'You were serviceable. I know you made the All-Star team one time, but if we're gonna be honest … Caitlin is a great player.' Advertisement Lieberman, 67, is one of the most decorated players in women's hoops history. A Brooklyn native, she starred in several of the pre-WNBA women's basketball pro leagues before playing one season for the Phoenix Mercury in 1999. 3 Nancy Lieberman shot back at Jeff Teague on the '3s and Ones' podcast. @thebig3/X Advertisement She led Old Dominion to back-to-back AIAW national championships in 1979 and 1980 before receiving Women's Professional Basketball League MVP honors with the Dallas Diamonds in 1981, earning the nickname 'Lady Magic.' Teague, who has become a prominent basketball media personality through his podcast, played 12 seasons in the NBA. He spent his best years as a high-level role player with the Hawks from 2009-16, making his one All-Star appearance — as referenced by Lieberman — during the 2014-15 season. Clark is having an injury-riddled sophomore season with the Fever, but she still earned an All-Star nod and averages 16.5 points, 8.8 assists and 5.0 rebounds per game. 'Caitlin Clark is way better than Jeff Teague ever was,' said one X user. 3 Caitlin Clark with the Fever on June 19. NBAE via Getty Images 'Clark's value towards her team and the WNBA as a whole is way higher than Jeff's value ever been,' wrote another. Another user disagreed, writing: 'Saying Teague was serviceable is beyond disrespectful. The game was different back then plus the NBA is more about roles and often holds people back.' Former NBA player Michael Beasley, a co-host on '3s and Ones,' is siding with Lieberman. 'Jeff, my guy … you tripping,' Beasley said. 'Caitlin's great.'

Aneesah Morrow Details What WNBA Teams Should Know About Her Before the Draft
Aneesah Morrow Details What WNBA Teams Should Know About Her Before the Draft Aneesah Morrow didn't just lead NCAA Division I women's basketball in rebounding during her senior season at LSU, but she also displayed a mindset that impressed scouts and general managers. As a result, she's widely projected to go in the top 10 of the 2025 WNBA Draft. The All-American forward averaged 18.7 points and 13.5 rebounds while shooting 49.0 percent from the field in 2025, finishing her as the third all-time leading rebounder in NCAA Division I women's basketball history. Advertisement 'I don't like to be denied. I don't like to be told no,' Morrow said. 'It might sound like being a little spoiled, but at the same time, I work very hard on and off the floor — academically, in the classroom, in the weight room, trying to see my body change. I really work hard to accomplish the goals that I want.' Before learning where she will play professional basketball, Morrow is embracing the moment in New York City. During WNBA Draft weekend, Morrow worked behind the counter at Raising Cane's in New York, serving fans and reflecting on her path to the pros. 'LSU has been a big part of building my brand and being here at Cane's today is so special,' Morrow said. 'Cane's was my first meal at LSU, and it was so good. I have a lot of experience going to Cane's after practice with my teammates. My go-to order is the Box Combo, no slaw, extra fries, and extra toast.' Aneesah Morrow, a projected top 10 WNBA Draft pick and one of the most dominant scorers in women's college basketball, during a celebratory pre-WNBA Draft 'shift' at Raising Cane's Astor Place in New Cane's Wings general manager Curt Miller, who previously coached the Connecticut Sun and Los Angeles Sparks, said Morrow's production will translate easily at the next level. Advertisement 'Rebounding has always translated,' Miller said. 'She's undersized, so it talks about tenacity, it talks about desire. Rebounding is a hustle statistic.' Morrow agrees with Miller's assessment, emphasizing the value of being aggressive on the boards. She fully intends to bring this approach and mentality to the WNBA. 'Getting extra possessions for my team is huge,' Morrow said. 'It requires hunger and grit. If it were easy, everyone would do it. I'm going to stay the course and keep that mindset.' With projections placing her anywhere from No. 5 to No. 9 overall, Morrow may not know where she's headed yet — but she already is focused on maximizing her potential, wherever she plays. Advertisement 'I want to improve my ball-handling, knock down the three consistently, and create for others,' Morrow said. 'But I know what I bring on the boards. That's who I am.' Morrow will find out her next team after the WNBA Draft begins on Monday, April 14, with a start time of 7:30 p.m. ET. Related: Angel Reese's Four-Word Message to Former LSU Teammate Before WNBA Draft
