Cooked on top of stove and they were crispy and delicious. Will use some ground chicken next time." —chaleyrn View Recipe Quick Chicken Piccata "My husband really enjoyed, as did I. It was there for the others to add to their dish." —SDELEHANTY View Recipe Chicken Marsala "My boyfriend and I LOVED this. I made it with lots of baby portabello mushrooms, and I also threw onions and garlic in with the butter and oil before I placed the chicken in. I also doubled the sauce like others. I took the chicken out when it was done cooking, added corn starch and a little heavy cream to the sauce, and it was just how we liked it. I served with mashed garlic red potatoes, I think its our new favorite dinner! :)" —MrsGibbs View Recipe Spicy Shrimp Tortilla Soup with Zucchini Noodles "This recipe was so fast, and so easy, and so delicious! This recipe is going in our rotation for a quick dinner." —Ninalinda View Recipe Quick Italian Skillet Dinner "This was delicious and will definitely make it again. I added a handful of sliced mushrooms and used one cup of regular rice instead of the instant rice. Trader Joe's childhood favorite items customers are buying 10 at a time

Trader Joe's customers are rushing to stores to buy boxes of a childhood favorite — spaghetti with meat and sauce. The fan-favorite freezer item is ideal for lunch or dinner, and only costs $4.49 at the chain's more than 600 stores nationwide. 'Just a little sprinkling of parmesan and this will be gold for a quick dinner!,' a Reddit user wrote. Shoppers have also raced to snag a box of Trader Joe's 3 cheese spinach & artichoke pasta — a $3.79 product suitable for customers who enjoy the chain's famous spinach and artichoke dip. 'I bought two before even trying because I knew it would be good. Probably gonna buy ten boxes tomorrow,' a shopper wrote on the social media site. Besides the pasta boxes, shoppers have also spoken highly of Customer Choice Awards winners like chili & lime corn tortilla hips and spiced cider. But some customers were disappointed to see Trader Joe's had already unveiled fall-themed products at some of its stores last month. 'I LOVE fall and Halloween and such but maple and pumpkin stuff in July seems silly. It's just getting to be real tomato and corn season!,' a shopper wrote online. Trader Joe's Spaghetti with Meat & Sauce is a childhood favorite available to purchase for $4.49 per box A Reddit user insisted they'd buy 10 boxes of Trader Joe's 3 Cheese Spinach & Artichoke Pasta While particular food items may surge in popularity at the store, it is difficult to compare to the mega popularity of the Trader Joe's tote bag. The retailer's mini tote bags first went viral in March 2024 following a string of TikTok videos showing long lines and shopping frenzies. Originally available for less than $3 in stores, the mini totes were being resold on platforms like eBay and Facebook Marketplace for up to $500. The bags returned to stores six months later — selling out at several stores within hours. The must-have totes are still a fan favorite — with some rare iterations still selling for as much as $1,000 online. The bags, along with its other products, are factors behind the chain's rapid expansion, which includes 30 new stores this year alone. The brand opened 34 locations last year. A memorable Trader Joe's store that opened earlier this summer was a California location right across the street from another. The chain's success has pushed its rivals to step up their grocery game — including Aldi, the fastest-growing supermarket in the US. Social media users have been praising Trader Joe's pasta all month Trader Joe's is known for offering several top quality products at its 600+ grocery stores Aldi fired shots at Trader Joe's this summer by releasing Sundae Shoppe-branded tiny cones. The cones received positive reviews online, and were strikingly similar to Trader Joe's Hold the Cones treats. Aldi had already ignited a war by launching kimbap — a Korean dish similar to a version sold by Trader Joe's. Trader Joe's has its own version of the dish but it has been so popular fans have reported not being able to find it anywhere. Aldi's fully-cooked Kimbap, which launched in June, comes in two flavors, Traditional and Tuna Mayo. The Traditional option is labelled as 'Korean-style imitation crab, egg, carrots, spinach, and pickled daikon in a seaweed rice roll.' While the Tuna Mayo is described on the packaging as 'Tuna mayo & perilla leaf in a seaweed rice roll.'

The 'Absolutely Delicious' Frozen Fried Chicken I Could Eat Every Day (It's THAT Good!)

This article may contain affiliate links that Yahoo and/or the publisher may receive a commission from if you buy a product or service through those links. As much as I love cooking, some nights I really need a quick dinner that doesn't require much effort on my part. That's usually when I peruse my freezer. I'll grab frozen shortcuts from the grocery store here and there, but my favorite ones come from QVC. (Yes, the QVC you watch on TV.) The retailer offers a bunch of delicious options that I, and more members of The Kitchn team, adore. So, if you, too, need to stock your fridge with effortless meal-starters, these are five of the best we recommend. Heartland Fresh Chicken Fried Chicken with Gravy $99 Buy Now 1. Heartland Fresh Chicken Fried Chicken with Gravy This is easily one of my favorite groceries to pick up at QVC. Heartland Fresh's Chicken Fried Chicken with Gravy comes with 12 frozen chicken breasts — enough to last my fiancé and me for over a month — along with two packs of creamy white gravy. I usually crisp it up in my air fryer, which only takes 15 minutes — perfect for weekday lunches and dinners. You can also heat it in the oven. The chicken has a peppery breading that is on par with fried chicken from a quality restaurant. It goes nicely with the gravy, which I make in a saucepan on the stove. To be honest, though, I often find myself just eating the chicken with a side of barbecue sauce for dipping and some roasted veggies. I could eat it every day. Heck, maybe I'll stop and make some right now … Buy: Heartland Fresh Chicken Fried Chicken with Gravy, $99 for 12 (5-ounce) chicken breasts at QVC The Perfect Gourmet 100-Count Classic Potstickers $79 Buy Now 2. The Perfect Gourmet Classic Potstickers These potstickers are another great go-to for your freezer. For one, you'll get 100(!) dumplings, divided into four bags of 25, so you can easily make enough to share (though you definitely don't have to). Not to mention, there are six flavors you can choose from and a combo option, which includes chicken and broccoli, pork, kung pao pork, and chicken. They're also pretty easy to make: Simply pop them into a hot pan, and get them nice and golden all around. Add them to your favorite salad (or salad kit for a delicious two-ingredient dinner). Buy: The Perfect Gourmet Classic Potstickers, $79 for 100 (0.7-ounce) potstickers at QVC Rastelli's Provolone and Parsley Pork Sausage Links, 4 (1-Pound) Packs $97 Buy Now 3. Rastelli's Provolone & Parsley Pork Sausage Links 'It was love at first bite with Rastelli's Provolone and Parsley Pork Sausage Links,' wrote contributor Haley Lyndes in her review. These sausage links are a natural for a big summertime bash (toss them on the grill!) or sheet pan dinners. You'll get four 1-pound packages or 16 sausage links, so maybe both?! They're also delicious: 'The pork was meaty, rich, and fresh, with way more flavor and none of the blandness I often find with the packaged supermarket options,' Lyndes wrote. 'The provolone cheese adds a creamy, slightly tangy kick with the parsley bringing a fresh, herbal pop in every bite.' Say no more; into the cart, it goes. Buy: Rastelli's Provolone & Parsley Pork Sausage Links, $97 for four (1-pound) packages at QVC Bertoncello Italian Cacio Pepe or Pizzaiolo Stuffed Gnocchi, 4 Pounds $79 Buy Now 4. Bertoncello Italian Pizzaiolo Stuffed Gnocchi I often reach for gnocchi when I need an easy meal. I love crisping them up on a sheet pan with a mix of veggies. When even slicing peppers sounds like too much effort, I'm grabbing Bertoncello's Italian Pizzaiolo Stuffed Gnocchi out of my freezer. It tastes just like pizza, with creamy mozzarella and zippy tomato basil sauce in the center of each gnocchi. Cook them in a skillet for about 10 minutes, which is what I usually do (and toss in a little butter and Parmesan cheese at the end), or in an air fryer for just five minutes. The two bags of stuffed gnocchi are two pounds each, so they last several weeks (if not months). Plus, you can also get these gnocchi with a cheesy, peppery cacio e pepe filling, or a combo pack. Buy: Bertoncello Italian Pizzaiolo Stuffed Gnocchi, $79 for two (2-pound) bags at QVC Mama Mancini's Beef Meatballs $60 (was $66) Buy Now 5. Mama Mancini's Beef or Turkey Meatballs in a Cup For unbelievably good meatballs, try Mama Mancini's. You can decide whether you want beef or turkey (or both!); either way, the three cheese-stuffed meatballs are smothered in tomato sauce. Culinary producer Janette Zepeda tried them at this year's QVC Foodie Fest, and she couldn't get enough, which is perfect, because you get six cups in an order. They 'embody everything a good meatball should be,' said Zepeda. They're 'tender, juicy, with the right balance of seasoning and the perfect touch of acidity from the rich, flavorful tomato sauce.' Buy: Mama Mancini's Beef Meatballs in a Cup, $59.98 (on sale!) for six (7-ounce) cups at QVC What's your favorite QVC dinner shortcut? Tell us about it in the comments below. Subscribe to The Kitchn! ‘This is a joke?' parents say as mum shows what her kids eat as she couldn't be bothered ‘listening to the moaning'

A MOTHER-OF-FOUR has come under fire after sharing a snap of what she fed her brood on a day when she 'couldn't be bothered'. Mum and TiKToker Amy Mercado was brutally slammed earlier this week, after horrified parents wondered if the tea was ''a joke''. 2 For dinner, Amy decided to keep things simple, as she felt ''lazy'' and 'couldn't be bothered to fight' with the kids - none of whom are ''massive fans of veg ''. The easy and quick dinner consisted of the same two items for Amy's children - a three-year-old, a seven-year-old, a baby, 14 months, as well as a nine-year-old. The youngest of the brood was served two chicken nuggets, as well as nine chips, while the seven-year-old had one nugget more on the plate and a handful of crispy chips - a similar portion to what the tot, three, had. The nine-year-old, meanwhile, enjoyed a hearty pile of chips and half-a-dozen of chicken nuggets. One everyone had finished their tea, Amy revealed in the clip, it was time for pudding - chocolate chip mini muffins for the older kids and some infant cereal with milk for the 14-month-old. The mum claimed that she does add sweetcorn and peas to their plates ''a few times a week'' - however, she simply couldn't be bothered ''to fight with them'' and listening to the '' moaning ''. Amy went on in the comments: ''Beans they won't eat it's too wet but I do vegs a few times a week but they always have unlimited access to fruit as they prefer it.'' As for the portions, which some reckoned were too small, Amy said her kids ''don't eat a lot'' and she wants to avoid wasting food. 'It's not real, right?' Since being shared online, where Amy posts under the username @ amymercado1998, the clip has racked up close to 44k views and more than 140 likes. Horrified by the lack of veggies, over 90 people flooded to comments, where many slammed the ''lazy'' mum. I'm an Irish mum & I feed my family of six for three days with €26 shop ''Where's the nutrients?!'' one was gobsmacked. Someone else wondered: ''Surely this is one of those posts where they just want the comments, it's not real right???'' ''Are you aware of what vegetables are?'' a third troll chimed in. Where can kids eat for free this summer? THE summer holidays are here, but entertaining the kids need not cost a fortune. Here, we reveal where you can get free and cheap meals for your little ones during the 'endless' summer holidays. ASDA CAFE: Nip into an Asda cafe to feed the kids after the weekly shop. Under-16s get a hot or cold meal for £1 at any time of day. Little ones are covered, too. Kids under 18 months get a free Ella's baby food pouch with any purchase. BEEFEATER: This family-friendly pub chain makes mornings a breeze. Two kids under 16 eat for free with the purchase of an adult breakfast for £10.99. It's available from 6.30am to 10.30am midweek and 7am to 11am at weekends. BELLA ITALIA: Book a table and order an adult meal at the Italian eatery for kids aged two to 11 to get three courses and a drink for £1. Offer valid between 4pm and 6pm on Sundays to Wednesdays. The offer runs every day until August 11. TESCO: Pop to the supermarket cafe from Monday to Friday until August 30 for free kids' meals when an adult buys any item in the cafe. You must have a Clubcard to redeem the offer. THE RANGE: Kids under 16 get one free meal per adult main purchased at The Range cafes. Options include sandwiches, a cooked breakfast and fish and chips. All kids' meals come with a piece of fruit and a drink. Luckily for the mum, there was also heaps of support, as one kind viewer hit back at the critics: ''Before even commenting about vegetables educate yourselves on SEN children first. ''They have sensory issues with food due to textures, smells, colour. my son only eats chips, cheese and snacks. don't you think we have tried many times with vegetables and fruit? ''My son will gag at the site of it.'' Another was just as stunned by the abuse the mum was getting online, writing: ''Since when did you lot become super nanny! ''She still has her children! They're fed and watered and have a loving home over their heads. Let her be. ''Half of you was raised on beans on toast and spam. Jesus.

Get your bold flavours fast with these two simple Asian dishes

This week's column focuses on speed, turning to some Chinese takeaway classics to showcase how to produce quick and delicious dining in record time. 'Chow mein' covers a wider description of regional Chinese dishes that involves stir-frying noodles in spices and seasoning with a variety of meats, seafood or in today's case: vegetables. This is the sort of dish that leans heavily on the store cupboard for rapid-fire flavours. It was also a staff food favourite where I worked for a period. It certainly ticks all the relevant boxes: quick, cheap, nutritious, delicious. I've been fortunate enough to travel throughout Asia, where a bowl of noodles on the side of the street, late at night, is one of life's great culinary joys. Spending a little extra on some local, seasonal vegetables will make the world of difference here. While I've used kale and chard leaves, you can substitute these and follow the same cooking method. The sauce uses soy, hoisin, some wine and sesame oil thickened with cornflour to pack a punch. It is a winner when you're on the go. Ten-minute chow mein with spring vegetables and peanuts. Photograph: Harry Weir The second dish is one of the world's most popular: sweet-and-sour chicken. This isn't exactly authentic, probably comprising elements from various regions of Asia. The concept is simple: fry meat, fish or vegetables in cornflour before glazing in a simple sauce made from sugar and vinegar. It's also common as a dipping sauce for lots of dishes. Many western recipes incorporate fruit such as pineapple or pear, so I've done the same here. Using up the pineapple juice is also a great way to bulk up the sauce alongside sweet chilli. Sweet and sour chicken with rice. Photograph: Harry Weir I've also added a great hack for perfectly steamed rice using a Pyrex bowl, boiling water and any traditional steamer. This is the only way I cook rice at home; it offers consistent results and avoids the need to scrape burnt rice from the bottom of your pot after a day of soaking it in the sink. Always a bonus. READ MORE While this week's recipes are simple, the aim is to make them helpful to our packed modern schedules by delivering delicious food, fast.
