Early morning shed fire in Woolwich Township

Bridge Street West was partially closed after a shed fire in Woolwich Township, May 30, 2025. Fire crews were on scene of an early morning shed fire behind a home north of Waterloo Friday. In a social media post at 6:10 a.m., the Waterloo Regional Police Service said a portion of Bridge Street West in Woolwich Township was closed for a house fire. Waterloo Fire Rescue told CTV News they got the call at 4:32 a.m. Six trucks from Waterloo Fire and an unspecified number from Woolwich Fire Department attended the scene. Waterloo Fire confirmed the fire was knocked down by 5:15 a.m., with crews still seen on site at 8 a.m. looking for the source of the fire. Police told CTV News no injuries had been reported. One cat was missing from the property after the fire. Woolwich District Fire Chief Arnie Gingrich said it was not found in the aftermath. Waterloo fire said the cause of the fire and the estimated cost of damage was unknown. Bridge Street West was closed from King Street North to McMurray Road.

Essex crews stop shed fires spreading to homes in Loughton

Firefighters have stopped flames from three sheds that were ablaze from spreading to Fire and Rescue Service said it was called to Barfields, Loughton, at 16:47 BST to reports of a shed on fire. When crews arrived they found three sheds "completely alight and two houses were affected". The service added that firefighters from Loughton and Waltham Abbey stopped the fire spreading to the homes but the sheds were "completely destroyed". Crews tackle fire at allotment

Crews tackled a shed fire at an allotment. East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service attended the incident at an allotment in Collier Close, Eastbourne, yesterday, May 10, at around 2.20pm. The fire began in a shed and affected other outbuildings, the fire service reported. There were no casualties. The fire was believed to be accidental. READ MORE: Fire in garden sheds, trees and fences is being treated as arson "Firefighters used four breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire. "A thermal imaging camera was used to check for hotspots." Sussex Police was also at the scene.
