Fabio Wardley vs Justis Huni predictions: Boxing tips and odds

Our boxing tipster Dan Fitch has predictions for Saturday's fight between Fabio Wardley and Justis Huni at Portman Road, Ipswich (ring walks, 10pm). They include a knockout victory for Wardley in a bout that has the WBA interim heavyweight title on the line. Wardley vs Huni tips Fabio Wardley to win in rounds 7-12 @ 11/5 with talkSPORT BET Fabio Wardley, Mike Perez and Pierce O'Leary all to win @ 5/6 with talkSPORT BET Odds courtesy of talkSPORT BET correct at the time of publication and subject to change. Already a talkSPORT BET member? Check out more free bets from the best betting sites, reviewed by our experts. Wardley can inflict Huni's first defeat Both Fabio Wardley and Justis Huni have unbeaten records, but it is the Ipswich-born boxer who has the advantage of fighting on home turf and boasts an impressive record of stoppages. Of the 30-year-old's 19 fights, 17 have been won by KO. The only exceptions have been a points victory in his first contest back in 2017 and a draw in his first fight against Frazer Clarke, which he brutally avenged with a stunning first-round knockout victory in last year's rematch. Wardley was a latecomer to boxing, turning professional after just four white-collar fights. This lack of amateur pedigree was evident in the first meeting with Olympic medallist Clarke and Huni will be aiming to outbox the favourite and record a surprise points victory. The Australian only has two notable names on his 12-0 record in the form of Andrew Tabiti and Kevin Lerena. Both were small for heavyweights, having previously campaigned at cruiserweight. Lerena is at least a puncher and he had Huni's legs wobbling in the 10th round of their fight last year, but lacked the energy to finish off his opponent. If Wardley gets such a chance he will make no such mistake. His fast right hand can set up such opportunities and when he smells blood he is a deadly finisher, as he proved in that rematch against Clarke, when he broke his opponent's jaw. Huni may well have some early success and can win rounds, but eventually the home fighter will land cleanly. When that happens, I expect Wardley to be decisive and I am backing a stoppage win in the second half of the bout. Treble looks to be a banker The undercard to the main event features Mike Perez's cruiserweight contest against Steven Ward, with the Cuban a strong favourite to win, having campaigned at a much higher level during his long career. Pierce O'Leary is another fighter expected to have his hand raised, with the unbeaten Irishman facing Liam Dillon in a European super-lightweight title match. talkSPORT BET has boosted the odds of a treble on wins for Perez, O'Leary and Wardley to 5/6 and it looks to be something of a banker that offsets the risk taken with our first bet. Wardley vs Huni odds All odds courtesy of talkSPORT BET. Correct at the time of publication and subject to change.
