ITV star issues apology after pulling out of This Morning at last minute
The reality star was due to appear on This Morning today but was forced to pull out at the last minute, and she has since issued an apology Lauren Goodger has shared the reason behind her no-show on This Morning, expressing her disappointment at missing the opportunity. The star, who first found fame on ITV's The Only Way Is Essex, was scheduled to join fellow Towie alumni Amy Childs and Harry Derbidge on the programme. Taking to Instagram, Lauren disclosed that she had to stay home to care for her daughter, which prevented her from attending. In a series of selfies, Lauren apologised: "Sorry @thismorning I can not make it today, due to no childcare and too early and far to being little one and no one other end to have her." She continued with regret: "So sorry - I am gutted to miss but hopefully see you all soon. Good luck guys @mrharryderbidge @amychilds1990 - love you all," reports the Mirror. Lauren also mentioned her busy life as a new mum with the hashtag "#6weeks #nobreak #mumlife #towie #liftisfullon." After an eight-year hiatus, Lauren rejoined the cast of Towie last year and has spoken about how much she enjoys being back. Speaking to The Sun, she reflected: "Oh I love it, I've had such a good time, honestly, it's really helped me personally bring on a back, because I sort of lost myself for a little while, went through a lot and I just feel this, this makes me happy." Additionally, she took to her Instagram to hype up the upcoming series, posting: "Back like we never left @towie series 36 coming soon to ITV2 @itvxofficial What a lovely day at the @itvstudios seeing some old faces and catch ups in the green room Love all the itv and Towie family." Fans flocked to offer their backing, with one commenting: "The original and the best, look amazing darling." "Lauren you look bloody fantastic ... keep being you lovely," penned another supporter. A third person added: "Love lauren so much, she deserves all things good in life." Lauren, 38, gave birth to her daughter Larose in July 2021 with partner Charles Drury. The pair also welcomed baby Lorena in July 2022, who heartbreakingly passed away after just two days. After confirming her comeback to Towie for series 33, Lauren revealed to Closer: "It's baby steps at the minute, but I'm having a real nice time." She continued: "I'm so glad I've gone back, and it goes to show people who might have something negative to say, that I hold the power. "The way production speak to me – they make me feel like royalty. It's like they're in awe, it's a lovely atmosphere." She went on to explain that it will require "a long time to heal" from the tragedies she's endured throughout her life, but returning to her "reality TV show roots" is providing comfort. The pair share their three-year-old daughter Larose but they split following the heartbreaking loss of their baby daughter, Lorena a few years ago. However, the pair were rumoured to be back on after a double date with her TOWIE co-stars. A repost of Junaid Ahmed's Instagram story, which was captioned 'Double dating @joeblackman_98 @laurengoodger @ - strongly suggested they were back together. However, it looks like things may be over again after Lauren shared some cryptic things on her social media. In one post, she wrote: "Love me well or leave me alone," whilst another message read: "The universe will literally sit you down and break you to humble you, then will isolate you. Then give you back everything 10x to prove to you how powerful you are, and that everything is happening for a reason. Trust yourself, the Universe and your path." Just two weeks ago, she shared more about her return to The Only Way Is Essex. She captioned a string of posts: "My first @towie away trip in a very long time. What a roller coaster but an amazing achievement for me personally. Here's to rebuilding me thank you @itvxofficial," with her co-stars rushing to the comment section to wish her well. Lauren has also been open about her breast augmentation journey - and how she now wants her enhancement reduced. "11 years ago I had a breast augmentation, one of the things I regret later in life. I had the perfect boobs .. they have been great over the years but since being a mum and breastfeeding for 1 year they have now changed and I've always found they make me look bigger!" she wrote on her social media as she updated fans. "Also they are heavy and I don't like the idea of an implant being in me all these years and I miss my old boobs so much .. This is a HUGE step for me I've wanted to have them removed for so long but suffering with serve anxiety surgery is the last thing I can do ! So it's early stages but I am bringing you a long with me! I'm terrified but also for health reasons I'm having implants removed and bring back more to my normal self, wanting to reverse everything back to natural."
