ITV star issues apology after pulling out of This Morning at last minute
Lauren Goodger has shared the reason behind her no-show on This Morning, expressing her disappointment at missing the opportunity.
The star, who first found fame on ITV's The Only Way Is Essex, was scheduled to join fellow Towie alumni Amy Childs and Harry Derbidge on the programme.
Taking to Instagram, Lauren disclosed that she had to stay home to care for her daughter, which prevented her from attending.
In a series of selfies, Lauren apologised: "Sorry @thismorning I can not make it today, due to no childcare and too early and far to being little one and no one other end to have her."
She continued with regret: "So sorry - I am gutted to miss but hopefully see you all soon. Good luck guys @mrharryderbidge @amychilds1990 - love you all," reports the Mirror.
Lauren also mentioned her busy life as a new mum with the hashtag "#6weeks #nobreak #mumlife #towie #liftisfullon."
After an eight-year hiatus, Lauren rejoined the cast of Towie last year and has spoken about how much she enjoys being back.
Speaking to The Sun, she reflected: "Oh I love it, I've had such a good time, honestly, it's really helped me personally bring on a back, because I sort of lost myself for a little while, went through a lot and I just feel this, this makes me happy."
Additionally, she took to her Instagram to hype up the upcoming series, posting: "Back like we never left @towie series 36 coming soon to ITV2 @itvxofficial What a lovely day at the @itvstudios seeing some old faces and catch ups in the green room Love all the itv and Towie family."
Fans flocked to offer their backing, with one commenting: "The original and the best, look amazing darling."
"Lauren you look bloody fantastic ... keep being you lovely," penned another supporter.
A third person added: "Love lauren so much, she deserves all things good in life."
Lauren, 38, gave birth to her daughter Larose in July 2021 with partner Charles Drury. The pair also welcomed baby Lorena in July 2022, who heartbreakingly passed away after just two days.
After confirming her comeback to Towie for series 33, Lauren revealed to Closer: "It's baby steps at the minute, but I'm having a real nice time."
She continued: "I'm so glad I've gone back, and it goes to show people who might have something negative to say, that I hold the power.
"The way production speak to me – they make me feel like royalty. It's like they're in awe, it's a lovely atmosphere."
She went on to explain that it will require "a long time to heal" from the tragedies she's endured throughout her life, but returning to her "reality TV show roots" is providing comfort.
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV1 . The Only Way Is Essex is available to watch on ITVX.

Eamonn Holmes has shared an update on rescue dog Maggie this week following his split from Ruth Langsford, with whom he had adopted the canine companion over a decade ago Presenter Eamonn Holmes wrote about his ex Ruth Langsford in an update about their rescue dog Maggie this week. He's given an insight into the arrangements between them after having paid tribute to Maggie over the weekend. Eamonn, 65, and Ruth, 65, announced last year that they had decided to separate after 14 years of marriage. The former couple, who also have a son together, were later said to be involved in a custody dispute over canine Maggie, whom they had adopted as a family in 2011. After posting about Maggie yesterday, Eamonn returned to Instagram this afternoon with an update. It included him paying tribute to Ruth, who regularly posts about taking Maggie on walks, and teased over his plans for the future. Eamonn told his followers that Maggie will feature in the Times this week. He wrote: "So much interest and Love for Maggie following yesterday's post to the extent that she is going to star in @thetimes on line from tomorrow and this week's Sunday Times." The former This Morning host, who has experience health issues in recent years, went on to say that his ex does "all the hard stuff" with Maggie. There were even previously reports of a custody dispute over the dog between the former couple. It was however suggested in May last year that Maggie was likely to end up primarily with Loose Women panelist Ruth. A source told the Sun at the time that Maggie is "like a daughter" to the exes, who were both said to "dote" on her. The source further told the outlet: "But she's getting on and they know she needs stability. It's a case of who can give her that." They added that the prospect of "giving her up" was "heartbreaking" for GB News presenter Eamonn. They said that Eamonn "adores" her but teased over the canine ending up with his ex. The source said last year: "But if Ruth is able to get out and about and walk her more, then it may well be that she gets Maggie in the split."

Talk quickly turned to the price of the stunning jewel as one said: "For how much? That must have cost a backpack." Others were more taken aback by the size of the ring as someone exclaimed: "That rock." Another went further as they added: "A glacier!"
