Third Strictly Come Dancing 2025 star officially confirmed
Kingston, 62, is noted for her TV work in both Britain and the US, including ER and ITV miniseries The Fortunes and Misfortunes of Moll Flanders (1996), which earned her a BAFTA nomination for Best Actress.
Kingston is also known for her role as River Song in Doctor Who from 2008 to 2015.
It comes as 2018 Love Island winner Dani Dyer was the second star revealed to be taking part on show moments earlier.
Earlier today, Gladiators star Harry Aikines-Aryeetey (also known as Nitro on the BBC game show) was the first star announced to be taking part in this year's competition.
The 36-year-old, who also took part in the Strictly Christmas special last year, was then partnered with Nancy Xu.
Professional Dancers Dianne Buswell, Nadiya Bychkova, Amy Dowden, Karen Hauer, Katya Jones, Neil Jones, Nikita Kuzmin, Gorka Marquez, Luba Mushtuk, Jowita Przystal, Johannes Radebe, Aljaž Škorjanec, Kai Widdrington, Nancy Xu, Carlos Gu, Lauren Oakley, Michelle Tsiakkas and Vito Coppola will all take to the floor once more.

YouTube star and EastEnders actress among first batch of Strictly contestants
The popular BBC dancing show, hosted by Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly, will return to TV screens in September with a new host of famous faces competing each week to win the glitterball trophy. Podcast host and YouTube star George Clarke was announced as the sixth celebrity contestant on Tuesday during BBC Radio 1's Going Home drivetime show. Clarke, also known as George Clarkey, said: 'Never thought I'd say this … but I'm doing Strictly! Honestly, I've got no idea what I'm doing but I'm excited to get stuck in … and potentially fall over a fair bit.' It comes after EastEnders actress Balvinder Sopal was revealed as a contestant during a segment filmed live from Albert Square on ITV's Good Morning Britain (GMB). She said that 'being on Strictly is a dream that I held on to, with no proof that it would ever happen'. The other stars confirmed to be competing are Love Island winner Dani Dyer, Gladiators star Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, Doctor Who actress Alex Kingston and former footballer Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink. Speaking on The One Show after her reveal, Dyer, who is the daughter of actor Danny Dyer, said: 'It's such a fun magical show – to be asked to do it is such an honour. 'I just can't wait to be able to wear (the costumes) – it's going to be so much fun.' In July, the BBC announced that two 'incredible' new professional dancers, US-born Alexis Warr and Australian dancer Julian Caillon, would be joining the show. Daly and Winkleman will return as presenters with Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and Shirley Ballas on the judges' table. Strictly will return to BBC One and BBC iPlayer this September.

Alex Kingston makes first Strictly statement as Doctor Who star confirmed for BBC show
Alex Kingston has shared with her fans some of her dancing moves after the BBC confirmed that the Doctor Who actress will join the cast for this year's Strictly Come Dancing. Posting a video of herself practicing some footwork on Monday (11 August), the 62-year-old actor sung the show's theme tune before looking at the camera and saying: "Strictly… just dancing.' In the post's caption, she wrote: 'Hello sweeties… Spoilers are out! I'm getting ready to shake my hips all the way to a glitter ball trophy. Strictly 2025 here I come!!' Kingston was the second celebrity announced as part of the this year's cast for the hit dancing show, which returns to screens Autumn 2025.

Yungblud says 'Ozzy is everything' as he opens up about 'raw' documentary
Yungblud, whose real name is Dominic Harrison, paid another fitting tribute to his pal and mentor Ozzy Osbourne as he gets set to release his 'raw' documentary Yungblud fans are set to get a sneak peek behind his rise to fame in his upcoming documentary, and the singer has once again paid a fitting tribute to his late pal rocker Ozzy Osbourne. The duo held a special relationship with Yungblud - whose real name is Dom Harrison - taking to the stage to sing a brilliant version of Changes at Back to the Beginning last month. Now, as he gets ready to release his new documentary, Yungblud has revealed his love for the Black Sabbath star weeks after his tragic death. "Ozzy is everything to me, always has been," he revealed. He went on to label the 76-year-old star his "hero" and saying being a part of his final farewell was an honour. 'I went to Ozzy Osbourne's last gig - it was the perfect send off that was written in the stars' Speaking to Sky News, the 28-year-old singer added: "To be able to go on stage and honour my hero and sing that song to him, without knowing that they were his final days, was everything to me. "I will try my best to keep that spirit and keep that energy alive. I love that guy. I got to know him personally at the end and I love that family. I've got nothing but love, always." Yungblud's documentary, titled Are You Ready, Boy?, was filmed at the famous Hansa Studios in Berlin. The studios were also used by the likes of David Bowie and U2. The feature-length film, directed by Bafta-winner Paul Dugdale, charts Dom's early life growing up in Doncaster and shows him performing at the legendary Hansa Studios in Berlin, the birthplace of David Bowie's album Heroes, and U2's Achtung Baby. Ever proud of his northern roots, Dom made his new album in Leeds so it could have an authentic vibe. And the artist admitted it as been "pretty uncomfortable" to watch his latest production as he took in the premiere. "I think in this day and age, it's very easy for us to cut around things and make them palatable and digestible. "I wanted to do something that would be raw and uncomfortable, and this is what came out." It comes after he hinted at a "secret recording" before friend Ozzy Osbourne's death. Speaking at the time, he hinted he was working with Sabbath star Ozzy at a possible secret recording with his mentor, saying: 'There is a lot in the works as me and Ozzy are friends.' However, he recently shared the heartbreaking way her found out Ozzy had died. The Hello Heaven, Hello singer revealed he learned of the rock icon's death while he was on an island that had no internet service available. As he shared his feelings about his death recently, he said he found it "overwhelming" after previously declaring the star as "the greatest of all time" in a touching tribute. The chart topping singer has candidly explained that the sudden death of his friend has been hard to process. "I just love him and right till the very end he supported me. I get emotional, because I've loved him since I was about two," he said. He added: "He taught me self-belief and so I'm going to take his spirit and make sure everybody knows for the rest of my life who Ozzy Osbourne was - he meant everything to me."
