Multi-vehicle pile up closes A13 in south Essex with severe delays building
A MULTI-VEHICLE crash has closed the A13 eastbound between Orsett and Stanford-le-Hope causing severe delays in south Essex this afternoon. The pile up was first reported around 2pm this afternoon and has seen emergency services completely close the major road Basildon-bound, with queuing traffic backing up to Grays. Traffic is reported to be moving extremely slowly following the crash, with an unknown number of vehicles involved in the collision and AA traffic news reporting increasing delays while emergency services work to clear the debris. People told to avoid portion of Perimeter Highway: RCMP
Drivers are told to avoid the Perimeter Highway at the Portage Avenue overpass. RCMP said officers were dispatched to the area around 4:45 p.m. for a multi-vehicle crash. It is impacting the southbound lanes. RCMP said there will be 'significant delays' and people are asked to avoid the area. This story will be updated when more details become available.

Two lanes closed on M1 in Leicestershire after crash
Two lanes are closed on the M1 after a "multi-vehicle collision" in Highways said the northbound carriageway between junctions 22 and 23 had been of about an hour are expected on Monday morning, with about four miles (6.4km) of congestion work is currently taking place.

Mass. Pike lane closures in Newton, Weston to cause heavy delays. Here's what you need to know
Weekend lane closures are in effect on the Mass. Pike as crews aim to replace the I-90 bridge over the MBTA railroad. The closures on I-90 will be between exits 123 and 125 in Weston and Newton, a two-mile stretch from the Ridgeway Road bridge in Weston to the Commonwealth Avenue overpass in Newton. MassDOT is reducing traffic to one lane in each direction until Monday at 5 a.m. 'They'll be demolishing the roof of that existing tunnel and then replacing it with prefabricated bridge unit. This will be happening over the next couple of days,' Highway Administrator Jonathan Gulliver said. Peak traffic could cause up to three hours of delays and officials strongly advise drivers to avoid the area if possible. The project is also temporarily shutting down the commuter rail this weekend. 'They'll be on shuttle buses, that's both Amtrak and the MBTA out from as far as Worcester, if you're coming in, you're going to be on a shuttle bus; they have their own detour routes that they'll be using throughout the weekend,' Gulliver said. Phase two of the project will be the weekend of June 20th. buses. MassDOT says they are working with state and local law enforcement.
