Driver's keys taken during fight on Southern California freeway
An apparent road rage incident resulted in heavy delays on the 215 Freeway in San Bernardino when one of the people involved left the scene with the other driver's keys, officials said. The incident was reported shortly before 7 a.m. when the drivers of a van and a car got out of their vehicles, leaving at least one lane blocked on the northbound side of the freeway near Devore Road. Both drivers then began fighting on the freeway, allegedly because the van had been cut off by the other driver, who then 'brake checked' him, the California Highway Patrol stated. The driver of the van called the CHP, telling them that he had been kicked and had his keys stolen by the other motorist, who then drove away. The caller had also suffered facial injuries during the altercation, the CHP stated. Because the van could not be moved off the freeway, traffic through the area was delayed while a tow truck responded to the location. The caller told investigators that he had been spit on and then kicked when he tripped trying to confront the other driver. No description of the other driver or his vehicle has been made available. Authorities are also searching for a truck that drove away after apparently striking the van as it sat on the freeway. Video from the scene showed the van being hooked up to the tow truck around 7:30 a.m. The scene was cleared a short time later.

Florida road rage over turn signal leads to shooting, man hit by SUV: Police
The Brief A shooting and traffic crash took place earlier this week in Bradenton, Florida. All three men involved in the incident were arrested, including a 16-year-old. However, only two of the men are facing charges. No one was seriously injured in the incident. BRADENTON, Fla. - Two people are facing charges in a Florida road rage incident over a turn signal that led to a shooting and a man being hit with an SUV earlier this week, deputies say. What we know At around 3:23 p.m. on June 2, the Bradenton Police Department said it received multiple 911 calls regarding a shooting and traffic crash in the Riverwalk parking lot on Riverfront Boulevard. Officials said 33-year-old Raesean Poole was driving a Jeep and waiting to turn left out of the parking lot at 101 Riverfront Boulevard. Meanwhile, 20-year-old Antony Williams was driving a Buick east on Riverfront Boulevard and turned left into the parking lot in front of Poole. Williams parked his vehicle, and Poole backed up to confront him about not using a turn signal, authorities said. Williams and a 16-year-old passenger exited the Buick. Poole told police that during the confrontation Williams showed him a gun. CCTV video shows Poole began to drive away several times, but repeatedly stopped and continued arguing with Williams. During the final confrontation, officials said Poole turned onto Riverfront Boulevard, reversed and accelerated toward Williams. Poole hit a stop sign and a tree before then striking Williams in the leg. In response, the 16-year-old retrieved a gun and fired into Poole's Jeep. Authorities said all three men were arrested shortly after the incident. Poole is charged with aggravated battery with a motor vehicle, and the teen is charged with aggravated assault with a firearm. Officials say Williams currently does not face any charges in the case, and he was not seriously injured. FOX 35 is choosing not to name or show a picture of the 16-year-old involved in the investigation, as he is a minor. What's next Authorities say the investigation remains active and ongoing. Police seek boy struck by car while riding e-scooter in Mission, B.C., Monday
Mounties says DNA testing has confirmed remains that washed ashore in Washington State nearly 17 years ago are those of a teenager who went missing from Mission, B.C., in 2007. The RCMP logo is seen in Surrey, B.C., on Thursday, March 16, 2023. THE CANADIAN PRESS/Darryl Dyck Police are hoping to identify and ensure the welfare of a boy who was struck by a car while riding his e-scooter in Mission, B.C., Monday morning. The boy had been travelling on the sidewalk when he collided with a driver turning into the parking lot of Mission Secondary School around 8:30 a.m., Mission RCMP said in a statement. While the driver remained at the scene and spoke with police, the boy left before he could be identified. 'The boy reportedly struck the hood area of the car and flew a considerable distance off his scooter, but got up on his own and carried on his way,' the statement said. Officers have contacted various local elementary and middle schools to identify the boy, described by police as being 12 to 14 years old and wearing a grey or black hoodie with red writing on it, but have so far been unsuccessful. Parents whose child meets this description are advised to check whether the boy needs medical attention, before contacting the Mission RCMP with information regarding the incident. 'Police want to ensure he is OK, and to get more information from him about what happened,' Mounties said. Parents or any other witnesses with information relating to the event are asked to contact police at 604-826-7161, and quote file number 25-6339.
