Underage driver crashes into Repentigny, Que., home after police pursuit
A minor crashed a vehicle into a home in Repentigny early Thursday following a police chase, with no injuries reported.
Quebec provincial police (SQ) are investigating after a minor crashed a vehicle into a home in Repentigny, Que., early Thursday morning.
According to the SQ, around 2:30 a.m., officers from the Mascouche station tried to intercept the vehicle on Highway 40 after it failed to stop, triggering a police chase.
Shortly before 3 a.m., the vehicle collided with a residence in the Boulevard L'Assomption area of the off-island Montreal suburb.
An SQ spokesperson said officers were no longer in pursuit when the collision occurred.
'The officers arrested the underage driver. They could face charges such as reckless driving and dangerous driving,' the spokesperson said.
The minor was released pending an investigation.
No injuries were reported.
