Murder arrest after man dies following assault outside pub
A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after another man died following an assault outside a pub in were called to the Market Inn, in Main Street, Huthwaite, at about 21:10 BST on Sunday.A man in his 30s sustained serious injuries in the assault, which took place in a pub beer garden. He died in hospital on Tuesday. Nottinghamshire Police said a 30-year-old man had been arrested and remained in custody. Police have also arrested a 51-year-old woman on suspicion of assisting an offender, while a 31-year-old man - previously held on suspicion of affray - has been released with no further Insp Matt Scott said: "I'd firstly like to pass on my sincere condolences to the victim's family and loved ones."They are currently being supported by specially-trained officers through what must be an incredibly distressing time."I'd once again ask that anyone who saw what happened, or has any relevant information, CCTV, doorbell, dashcam or phone footage, shares it with us, if they haven't done so yet."Every piece of information we receive, however small or insignificant it may initially seem, has the potential to be the evidence we need to solve a case."

Just days after Erik and Lyle Menendez became eligible for parole, it was revealed that the brothers' June 13 hearing date had been postponed. What we know The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation confirmed on Monday, May 19 that the Menendez brothers' hearing date being pushed back to August 21 and 22. The state department explained in a statement that the dates were moved after a bid to convert the initial June hearing to a parole consideration hearing got rejected by the victims' family members and/or victims' next of kin. What they're saying Below was a statement issued by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation: "With the change in sentence, the Board of Parole Hearings informed participants that the June 13 hearing could be converted to a parole consideration hearing. Victims' next of kin and victim family members were provided with notice of the hearing. Victims and participants were able to object to the conversion of the June 13 hearing based on notice requirements. After objections were received, the parole hearing dates were moved." The backstory The scheduled hearings come as Erik and Lyle Menendez's sentences for the deaths of Jose and Kitty Menendez were reduced to 50 years to life. Prior to last week's news of being eligible for resentecing and possibly parole, the two had spent 35 years behind bars (and counting). For years, the Menendez brothers claimed the killings were committed after years of abuse, including alleged sexual abuse by their father. Man charged with murder of woman found in Leicestershire street
A man has been charged with murder following the death of a woman in were called to Biddle Road in Littlethorpe, near Narborough, on Sunday evening to a woman who was found injured in the was pronounced dead at the Cook, 39, of Atkinson Road in Ashby, is due to appear at Leicester Magistrates' Court later charged with murder.
