vivo starts teasing the T4 Ultra, focuses on its camera prowess
vivo has officially started teasing the upcoming T4 Ultra through its Indian X account today. As you can see in the embedded post below, the main selling point here seems to be the "Ultra-powerful zoom" which is also described as "flagship-level". From the quick shot of the phone's camera island in the video, we can glimpse a "100X" inscription, which is clearly the maximum digital zoom it will be capable of. It's supposedly launching in early June with the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ SoC at the helm, paired with 8GB of RAM. It will run Android 15 with vivo's Funtouch OS 15 on top. Chinese smartphone brand Vivo is set to launch the V50 Elite edition smartphone in India on May 15. Vivo has announced the arrival of the Elite edition smartphone in the V-series on its official X account. The teaser reveals 'Elite Edition' engraving on the back panel below the camera module of the smartphone. However, no official specifications have been revealed yet. The smartphone will be the third addition to the V50 series, after Vivo V50 and Vivo V50e. According to a report by Mint, the upcoming smartphone could feature a different design from the existing V-series models. The smartphone may sport a 6.77-inch FHD+ quad-curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 4500nits peak brightness. The camera island will likely be circular and different from the pill shaped module of the base Vivo V50 model. For the camera system, the smartphone may feature a dual camera setup with ZEISS integration, that will likely sport a 50MP primary camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS) paired with a 50MP ultrawide camera. At the front, the upcoming Elite edition might get a 50MP camera for selfies, video calls and more. The smartphone is expected to pack a 6000mAh battery that will likely support 90W wired charging support. The Vivo V50 is claimed to meet IP68 and IP69 dust and water-resistant ratings. Vivo has launched a new T-series smartphone in India that joins the growing trend of phones that feature massive 7,000 mAh batteries. The new Vivo T4 5G comes with a monster 7,300mAh battery. It joins the recently launched iQOO Z10 smartphone, which also comes with a 7,300mAh battery. The Oppo K13 5G, which launched on Monday, also follows the trend with a 7,000mAh battery. And in the coming months, there are more smartphones that are expected to follow this trend. The rumoured Poco F7 – or possibly its premium version, the Poco F7 Pro – is also expected to come with an over 7,000mAh battery.
