Detectives are carrying out house-to-house inquires after a man was found unconscious in a Devon car park with a serious head injury, police have appealed for witnesses after they were called at 04:00 BST to Russell Street Car Park in Tavistock.A 45-year-old man was in a critical condition at Derriford Hospital in Plymouth, Devon and Cornwall Police Insp Emma Lefort said officers were appealing for anyone who saw or heard a disturbance or anything suspicious in the area between 02:00 and 04:30. Det Insp Lefort said there would be an increased police presence in the area, while officers remained at the car park and carried out house-to-house appealed for anyone with CCTV footage or dashcam footage to get in touch with police.

A six-month-old boy is in a critical condition after he was injured in a crash between two cars in Leeds at the weekend. The baby was one of three people taken to hospital after a black Suzuki Alto and a grey Nissan Qashqai collided on Great North Road, Garforth, at about midday on Saturday. Anyone who witnessed the incident, which happened at the Aberford Road junction, was asked to contact police. A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: "The collision is being investigated by the roads policing unit and anyone who witnessed it, or the movements of either vehicle prior to it, is asked to get in touch." Elderly woman dies three weeks after Romsey car crash

An elderly woman has died in hospital following a collision in which two other people were also crash, involving a Ford Fiesta and Audi A3, happened in Luzborough Lane, Romsey, on Sunday 18 April, at about 21:10 BST.A woman in her 80s from North Baddesley, who was a passenger in the Fiesta, was seriously injured.
