Held at the Galen Center in Los Angeles on May 10, the event marked a major milestone in the game's evolving esports journey. Organized by BLAST and backed by Epic Games, the event featured 20 popular duos, each pairing a top-tier professional Fortnite player with a well-known content creator. The result? A high-energy tournament packed with action, entertainment, and fan engagement. Peterbot and AussieAntics steal the show The star duo of the night was Peter 'Peterbot' Kata and Shaun 'AussieAntics' Cochrane, who secured first place after six intense rounds. AussieAntics, a Dignitas streamer, teamed up with Peterbot, the reigning FNCS 2024 Global Champion and current Team Falcons player, to beat out stiff competition that included names like NickEh30, Clix, SypherPK, and CouRageJD. FNCS PRO-AM 2025 | FORTNITE COMPETITIVE Despite a clear difference in age and prize earnings, Peterbot has earned nearly 40 times more than his teammate - the duo showed remarkable chemistry. Round 2 saw the event's highest viewership as Clix and Lacy clinched a win, but it was Peterbot and AussieAntics who walked away champions. More than just a tournament Beyond the competition, the Pro-Am delivered moments that fans won't soon forget. A heat-induced power outage during Round 4 could have disrupted momentum, but CouRageJD quickly improvised by hosting a push-up challenge between SypherPK and NickEh30, much to the crowd's delight. Fans tuning in were also rewarded with Twitch Drops, offering in-game items like an exclusive spray and backpack. Meanwhile, select AMC theatres across the US screened the event live, giving in-person audiences special redemption codes for Fortnite's Axe of Champions 2.0 Pickaxe. Adding another layer of depth to the event was the presence of Heather 'sapphiRe' Garozzo, esports Hall of Famer and advocate for women in gaming. She praised the growing female representation, citing platforms like The Milk Cup as crucial entry points for aspiring players. The FNCS 2025 Pro-Am sets the stage for a busy esports calendar. Next up is Major 3, starting July 16, followed by the FNCS Global Championship in Lyon this September. With record-breaking viewership and fan-driven innovation, Fortnite's competitive future looks brighter - and bigger, than ever.

Fans Praise Sitaare Zameen Par's Inclusive Story
Aamir Khan is making his comeback after 3 years with Sitaare Zameen Par, a film we have been curious about for a lonnggg time. Considered a 'spiritual successor' of Taare Zameen Par, this film follows an arrogant basketball coach (Aamir Khan) who has to train adults with intellectual disabilites, as part of his community service. The trailer dropped on 13th May and immediately started trending to #1 on YouTube. Fans are particularly thrilled about the inclusivity they see in the trailer, as it stars actors with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Some users commented on the trailer, saying, "I have never ever thought that our Indian cinema will ever produce a movie of such concept having real specially abled kids as the core content. I'm a father of an autistic son who just turned 10 years old about a couple of months ago and I can't control my tears after watching this trailer. I really hope this movie works big time and gives hope to a lot of parents across the world to be positive and hopeful about their specially abled kid… Thank you Mr. Aamir Khan sir for bringing this." [sic] The cast includes Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishnan Varma, Vedant Sharmaa, Naman Misra, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Ashish Pendse, Samvit Desai, Simran Mangeshkar, and Aayush Bhansali, marking a significant moment in Bollywood to represent persons with intellectual disabilities. Another comment read, "Amazing for the movie. Thanks, Aamir Khan sir & the makers of the movie for focusing on special needs children. Much needed such topics for awareness about disabled children." [sic] People are expecting the film to revive Hindi film entertainment, Aamir Khan style—by tackling social issues in a refreshing way. However, some people have criticized the film, drawing similarities with the 2022 Woody Harrelson film, Champions. Though, as per the film's IMDB page, Sitaare Zameen Par is an adaptation of the 2018 Spanish film Campeones (Champion), on which the 2022 film has been made. Redditors have been trolling the film for 'lack of originality', drawing scene-by-scene comparisons between the two films. Gold Circle Films, Aamir Khan Productions While some are not fazed by the hate... Comment by u/nishantatripathi from discussion in bollywoodmemes Regardless, Sitaare Zameen Par upholds the job of representing people with intellectual disabilities in a real way, highlighting their talents. And this is something Bollywood has been waiting for! The film is slated for a theatrical release on 20th June 2025.

17 Famous Actors Who Were Literally Cut Out Of These HUGE Movies
1. Back in 2018, Manny Jacinto was one of the many actors announced to join the cast of Top Gun: Maverick. He'd be playing a pilot named Fritz, but when the movie came out, Manny's character didn't have a single line and can only be seen in the background behind the other actors. Paramount Pictures Director Joseph Kosinski explained that Manny did have lines and an arc, but it just didn't make it into the movie. "When we shot the film, everybody had lines, everybody had scenes, so it was all there in the script and in shooting it," he said. "And there are great scenes that are on the cutting-room floor. ... It has nothing to do with their performance or their abilities at all; it only has to do with the story of the film and trying to make the best version." 2. Angela Bassett was supposed to play Jasmine (Brad Pitt's character's boss) in Mr. and Mrs. Smith. All the scenes she was physically in ended up getting cut, though her voice can still be heard in the movie. 3. Tobey Maguire was deemed too famous for Life of Pi, even though he'd already filmed scenes for the movie. Director Ang Lee said, "I misjudged the situation. I underestimated the power of stars. I love Tobey. But it's a small part. So, when it's a movie star sitting there, it captures attention. It didn't really work out." Tobey was then replaced with Rafe Spall. 4. Katherine Langford originally appeared in Avengers: Endgame as an older version of Tony Stark's daughter, but the scene was cut because the Russo brothers didn't think it made sense with the ending of the movie. Marvel / However, Katherine was in good spirits about it and said, "At the end of the day, I'd rather have had the experience of being in a really good film than be in a film for the sake of being in it if it doesn't work. You don't want to be in something and then be the sore thumb that sticks out. And I didn't feel that way at all, and the Russo brothers didn't feel that way at all." 5. Harry Shum Jr. played Charlie Wu in Crazy Rich Asians — he's even sixth billed in the credits — but he only appears during a mid-credits scene. Ultimately, Harry's character was cut from the movie because director John M. Chu felt like there wasn't enough room to expand on his arc. Warner Bros. / Everett Collection "What we put in the movie was great — they actually dance together — and it was so awesome, and Harry's so charming and so lovable," said Chu. "But the problem was, it made Astrid feel like she was leaving Michael for Charlie, and we didn't have enough room to expand on the idea. We just had to stay focused. Ultimately, it's about her independence, so that scene was in there all the way until the very end. When we took it out, Astrid's journey became stronger. It was about her, not about her finding love. And if the movie ends up getting the sequel it's supposed to, Harry's character will most likely become a bigger focus. 6. While KiKi Layne's Don't Worry Darling character was the catalyst for Florence Pugh's character's suspicions, she shared on Instagram that almost all of her scenes were cut from the movie. Kiki said that she and her onscreen husband (and offscreen significant other) Ari'el Stachel were cut "from most of the movie" but are "thriving in real life." 7. Ana de Armas was originally cast as Roxanne in the movie Yesterday, and she even appears in one of the movie's trailers, but by the time the movie came out, her character was entirely cut. Fans were so upset that they were misled, they sued Universal for false advertising. The lawsuit claimed 'Defendant's advertising and promotion of the movie Yesterday is false, misleading, and deceptive.' Ana's character was meant to cause a love triangle between Himesh Patel and Lily James's characters. 8. Timothée Chalamet was cast as Matthew McConaughey's son in Interstellar, but most of his scenes were cut, and an older version of the character (played by Casey Affleck) was a bigger focus. Timothée said he "wept for an hour" after seeing the movie because he didn't expect his part to be as small as it ended up being. 9. Amy Poehler originally played a small role in Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, but was cut out of the final movie. She said she wasn't even surprised about being cut: "I was a young gal, hadn't even gotten my teeth fixed, and I played a bank teller that Maya Rudolph and her gang robbed. Even back then, I was like, 'This movie is so long, I'm never going to make it in this.'" Her scene does, however, appear on a DVD release called Wake Up, Ron Burgundy: The Lost Movie, and she ended up appearing in the sequel. 10. Robert Pattinson played the son of Reese Witherspoon's character in Vanity Fair, but he didn't find out until a screening of the movie that his role had been cut entirely. "The casting so she gave me first run at the part in Harry Potter, so I was quite glad I got cut, in the end," he said. 11. Harrison Ford originally made a cameo in E.T. where he played Elliott's principal. At the time, he was dating one of the movie's screenwriters and had just wrapped Indiana Jones with Steven Spielberg a year prior, so it felt like a perfect fit. However, the scene was cut because it didn't go along with the rest of the movie, and Harrison was a bit of a distraction from everything else going on. 12. Andy García was brought in to play Michelle Pfeiffer's love interest in Dangerous Minds, and even he didn't feel like his character was necessary, so he wasn't surprised when his role was edited out of the movie. Robin L Marshall / Getty Images "They wrote up a whole arc for this relationship, and we played it out; I had a great time," he said. "We shot the whole relationship, and then it was determined later on that it was really unnecessary in the storyline, which is what I said to begin with. But I did cash the check!" 13. Paul Rudd was originally in Bridesmaids and played one of Kristen Wiig's blind dates. But due to time constraints, director Paul Feig didn't want to introduce another love interest for her character. 'There is always that terrible moment when you have to kill your babies,' he said. Stephanie Augello / Variety via Getty Images 14. Ellen Pompeo was cast in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind as Jim Carrey's character's ex-girlfriend. She ended up filming all her scenes for the movie but was cut entirely and only mentioned by the other actors. Director Michel Gondry and editor Valdís Óskarsdóttir explained that they removed Ellen's character because her inclusion changed how the audience would perceive Jim's character. 15. Kristen Wiig originally had a few scenes in Forgetting Sarah Marshall but ended up being cut out of the movie. She played a yoga instructor who falls for Russell Brand's character. 16. Dax Shepard was supposed to be in the movie Knocked Up. He said that his character was on a red carpet getting interviewed, but his scenes didn't make it into the final movie. On his podcast, Armchair Expert, he explained that he does, in fact, still get residuals from the movie. JB Lacroix / Getty Images 17. And finally, Uma Thurman was cast to play Blake Lively's character's mom in the movie Savages, but she ended up being cut from the film entirely. Universal / ©Universal/Courtesy Everett Collection "It was so intense, in fact, that we ended up cutting characters from the book, like the mother," director Oliver Stone explained. "She was a good character — Uma Thurman played her beautifully — and the scenes were good, but you don't have time, you know? We have one goal in the movie, and you go out that gate, and it's like a horse race."

Lenny Kravitz Has A Whole Paris Mansion Dedicated To His Late Mother, And That's The Type Of Lavish Spending I Can Get Behind
Lenny Kravitz just proved why being a self-proclaimed "momma's boy" is sometimes a good thing. Lenny is a lot of things — a creative, a songwriter, a musician, a producer, an actor — but I believe one of his proudest titles is a family man. Most people know about the strong bond Lenny shares with his daughter and only child, Zoë Kravitz, but he's also still the best of friends with his ex-wife and Zoë's mom, Lisa Bonet. But this high regard he holds for family didn't start with the one he created for himself. No, this connection was deeply rooted in him from the time he was born, and it all started with his mother, actor Roxie Roker. Instagram: @lennykravitz And if that last name sounds familiar, it's because beloved weatherman Al Roker is her cousin. Roxie was widely known for portraying Helen Willis on the hit CBS sitcom The Jeffersons, which ran from 1975–1985. She guest-starred on a string of shows and was even nominated for a Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play for her work as Mattie Williams in the Broadway play The River Niger. Roxie was married to television producer Sy Kravitz in 1962 until they divorced in 1985. Lenny is their only child. Unfortunately, Roxie died in 1995 at the age of 66 after a battle with breast cancer. The "I Believe in Love Again" singer has always been vocal about the love he had for his mother and how much he cherished their connection. He likes to find ways to honor her, so when he gave a recent house tour for Architectural Digest, I knew we were in for a real treat. Architectural Digest / And if you're familiar with his previous AD episode on his beautiful Brazilian compound (which has more than 12 million views), then you already know Lenny takes great pride in the pieces he chooses for his homes and the unique details he adds to them. For their latest Open Door episode, Lenny invited fans to explore Parisian living with his French regal mansion that once belonged to Countess Anne d'Ornano, the widowed former mayor of Deauville. He transformed it into a love letter to his mom and a home for creativity. Paris has always felt like a home away from home, so picking the location was a no-brainer for the artist. "This place is called Hôtel de Roxie. It's named after my mother, because it was her dream to come live in Paris. She wanted to retire after doing 11 seasons on The Jeffersons, and she never got to do it." Architectural Digest / "So, I'm doing it for both of us. This place is a real gift. I've been in this house for 22 years now, but I've been in Paris my whole career. When my first album, Let Love Rule, came out in '89, they weren't quite sure how to market me in America because I didn't fit in a box, so they sent me to Paris. It's my favorite city in the world." The 36-year-old star opened up about how the city has inspired him in a multitude of ways, culturally and through various mediums like music, art, fashion, cuisine, and more. He also revealed that his humble abode is filled with things that represent himself, "his ancestors, Black history, American history, and African history." And while the entire home is a way to honor his mom, he has a special room dedicated specifically to her. "This is the petit salon; it's called the Roxie Room, and it's dedicated to my mother. She was the love of my life. I was a momma's boy." Architectural Digest / "I found a bunch of photos that my father had taken of my mother in the late '60s and got them framed by the same framer that does a lot of framing for the Louvre. I just wanted to have a room where I was surrounded by her image." "This is my favorite photograph of my mother. It's just a moment. I love the composition, the hat, the look on her face." Architectural Digest / As he went from room to room, it became very clear just how much influence his mother had had on his life and the ways he was able to reflect that back into the interior design. Vinnie Zuffante / Getty Images Like his library, which was filled with several of her old books... ...or the grand salon, which featured a stunning chandelier that was crafted by Lenny's conceptual creative studio, Kravitz Design, and named after his mother. What a gorgeous way to pay homage to your mom! I'm genuinely in awe of his taste. But it's Lenny, so I wouldn't expect anything else. River Callaway / WWD via Getty Images And fans were loving it too:
