Celtic face battle to land Sondre Ørjasæter with PSV frontrunners
The Sarpsborg winger has been of interest to the Hoops since January, but a move hasn't materialised. It was suggested back then that £7 million would secure his services. However, it is now claimed that the 21-year-old has an increased asking price and is still on Celtic's radar. French club Lille are also interested. According to TV Sport 2 in Norway, Dutch side PSV are leading the race for the winger. Ørjasæter told the Norwegian outlet: "Now I feel ready to take the step, while I am doing well here with full focus on Sarpsborg. "A transfer is not something I think about very much. "I think that if it happens, it happens. "It's not like I'll be depressed if there's no transition."

Orjasaeter scored six goals in 32 appearances for Sarpsborg last season, with their campaign finishing in December. He started every league game and also played in five games for the Norway Under-21s. Since then the left winger's played seven games since the Norwegian league started at the end of March, with one goal and three assists. He picked up a thigh injury in the May against Brann Bergen, but the injury has now cleared and he is fit and raring to go again. And the interest in the young talent is ramping up, according to reports. TV Sport 2 in Norway reckons it would take a bid of more than £11million to prise the star asset away from the Eliteserien. Both French side Lille and Celtic are credited shown interest. But the report claims Dutch club PSV is now leading the race for his signature, and says Orjasaeter is open to the move as he feels the Eredivisie would suit his style of play.
