US, Israeli forces hit Yemen's Sanaa Airport

Shafaq News/ On Tuesday, US and Israeli forces struck several areas in the Yemeni capital, including Sanaa International Airport, according to the Houthi-affiliated Al-Masirah TV. The airstrike on the airport was part of a wider campaign targeting infrastructure in and around Sanaa. Strikes hit the Haziz and Dhahban power stations in Sanhan and Bani Al-Harith districts; the Asr distribution station in Maeen; power transformers in the Al-Ilman and Kula Judr areas of Bani Al-Harith; the Attan area southwest of the capital; and the Amran Cement Factory—one of Yemen's largest industrial sites. 🛑 مشاهد إضافية من استهداف العدوان الإسرائيلي لمصنع أسمنت #عمران #جرائم_العدوان_الإسرائيلي — قناة المسيرة (@TvAlmasirah) May 6, 2025 Senior Houthi official Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti affirmed to Al-Mayadeen TV that these 'American, British, and Israeli strikes targeted civilian infrastructure,' adding that they should expect a response from Yemen. The attacks left four people dead and 39 injured, according to the Ansarallah-affiliated Health Ministry. Earlier this week, Yemen's Houthis threatened to impose a 'comprehensive air blockade ' on Israel and urged airlines to halt flights, after a missile landed near Ben Gurion Airport. Israeli assessments suggest the group used a newly developed 'Qassem Basir ' missile, believed to be supersonic and capable of evading radar detection.

Yemen under fire: US strikes Houthis

Shafaq News/ US forces launched fresh airstrikes on Yemen on Thursday, marking the latest escalation in a military campaign aimed at curbing the Iran-aligned group's capabilities in the Red Sea region. According to Al-Masirah TV, the Houthis' media outlet, four of the strikes targeted positions in Al-Jawf Province. No casualties were reported. ⭕️عاجل⭕️الجوف: عدوان أمريكي بـ4 غارات على مديرية خب والشعف — قناة المسيرة (@TvAlmasirah) May 1, 2025 The US Central Command (CENTCOM) has not commented on the latest attacks. However, earlier this week, CENTCOM said it had been conducting 'an intense and sustained campaign' against the Houthi movement since mid-March under the banner of Operation Rough Rider. Since the operation began, US forces have struck more than 800 targets and killed hundreds of Houthi fighters, including senior figures involved in missile and drone operations, the command said. CENTCOM reported a significant drop in attacks attributed to the Houthis, with ballistic missile launches decreasing by 69% and one-way drone strikes falling by 55% since the campaign intensified. The Houthis (Ansarallah) accused the United States of carrying out nearly 1,000 airstrikes on Yemen since March 15. The group claimed that US strikes had killed 217 civilians and wounded 436 others, most of them women and children. #سيد_القول_والفعل #الشعار_سلاح_وموقف — قناة المسيرة (@TvAlmasirah) May 1, 2025 Houthis leader Abdul Malik al-Houthi vowed to continue attacks despite US efforts to contain them. In a televised address, he declared that naval operations would persist, stating that Israeli shipping remained completely blocked in the Red Sea, Bab al-Mandab, the Gulf of Aden, and the Arabian Sea. 'Our operations will continue deep into occupied Palestine,' al-Houthi said, adding that the United States has failed to stop the group's military activities.

US strikes Houthi targets across Yemen

Shafaq News/ The US military launched a series of airstrikes on Saturday targeting Houthi (Ansarallah) positions in various parts of Yemen, amid rising tensions in the Red Sea region. According to Houthi-affiliated Al-Masirah TV, the strikes hit the capital Sanaa, and the northern province of Saada. In Sanaa, airstrikes targeted the Al-Sabeen and Bani Al-Harith districts, while four additional strikes were reported in the Kitaf and Al-Salem districts of Saada. ⭕️عاجل⭕️وزارة الصحة: إصابة 8 مدنيين بينهم طفلان نتيجة عدوان أمريكي استهدف حيا سكنيا غرب الروضة في مديرية بني الحارث بالعاصمة صنعاء — قناة المسيرة (@TvAlmasirah) April 26, 2025 Al-Masirah said the attack in Bani Al-Harith injured eight people, including children, but did not clarify whether the casualties included deaths. The United States did not officially claim responsibility for Saturday's strikes. The escalation follows the resumption of US air operations on March 15, aimed at deterring Houthi attacks on vessels linked to the United States and Israel in the Red Sea. The renewed campaign came after the Houthis announced on March 12 a ban on Israeli ships transiting the Red Sea, Arabian Sea, and Gulf of Aden, in protest against Israel's blockade of humanitarian aid to Gaza. The group warned at the time that further steps could follow. 🟥 بالصور | عدوان أمريكي يستهدف حياً سكنياً غرب الروضة في مديرية بني الحارث بالعاصمة صنعاء(1️⃣) #جرائم_العدوان_الامريكي #لن_نترك_غزة — قناة المسيرة (@TvAlmasirah) April 26, 2025 According to Houthis, the United States has conducted more than 1,000 airstrikes across Yemen since mid-March, as part of a broader American military campaign ordered by President Donald Trump. Last month, Washington redesignated Yemen's Houthi movement (Ansarallah) as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO), reinstating a designation that the Biden administration had previously revoked to facilitate humanitarian aid flows into Yemen. The US State Department said Houthi activities "threaten civilian security, US personnel in the Middle East, regional partners, and the stability of global maritime trade."
