Akhilesh Questions Aniruddhacharya On Use Of Term ‘Shudra'. He Replies Later: ‘Musalmaano Se...'

Last Updated: In the video, Akhilesh Yadav is seen questioning the use of the word 'Shudra' to which Aniruddha Maharaj gave a reply which did not impress Yadav. An old video of Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and Aniruddhacharya Maharaj has gone viral on social media. The clip is from 2023, when the spiritual guru was walking on the expressway while returning from Agra. During this walk, he met Akhilesh Yadav, who was travelling on the same route. In the video, Akhilesh Yadav is seen questioning the use of the word 'Shudra' to which Aniruddha Maharaj gave a reply which did not impress Yadav. He then says to Aniruddha Maharaj, 'From today, our path and your path are different." This remark quickly became the centre of attention, leading to political and religious debates online. लखनऊ-आगरा एक्सप्रेसवे पर @yadavakhilesh और अनिरुद्धाचार्य की वायरल मुलाकात! When the thinking of a king is like this, one can guess the direction of the state." He added that he did not make any objectionable statement during that meeting. According to him, Akhilesh raised the issue on his own while talking about the word 'Shudra'. Aniruddhacharya Maharaj also said the episode shows 'ill-will" towards the Sanatan saints. He further added that the use of such statements by a political leader reflects a narrow mindset. The video and the recent reply have triggered strong reactions from both sides. Supporters of Akhilesh Yadav and Aniruddhacharya Maharaj are sharing their views across various social media platforms. Some are calling the comment political, while others are calling it disrespectful to Hindu saints. Aniruddhacharya Maharaj is a well-known spiritual leader with a large number of followers across India. He is famous for delivering religious sermons and has a strong presence among the devotees. This incident has once again highlighted the ongoing tensions between religion and politics in the country. The debate continues to grow as more people react to the statements from both sides. view comments First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Drunk, Half-Naked MNS Leader's Son Rams Into Influencer's Car, Abuses Her In Marathi On Camera

According to Rajshree, the accused, identified as Rahil Javed Shaikh, was under the influence of alcohol when he crashed into her vehicle. Social media influencer Rajshree More, a close friend of actor Rakhi Sawant, has accused the son of a Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) leader of ramming into her car in a drunken state and later threatening her. The alleged incident took place on Sunday night in Mumbai's Andheri suburb, and Rajshree has taken to social media to share videos and photographs that she claims serve as evidence. According to Rajshree, the accused, identified as Rahil Javed Shaikh, was under the influence of alcohol when he crashed into her vehicle. In a video posted to her Instagram, Rahil is seen shirtless, verbally abusing and threatening Rajshree in Marathi, using expletives and reportedly declaring, 'Bh**od paishe ghe," and 'Go and tell the cops I am Javed Shaikh's son, then you'll see what happens." He was also seen arguing with the police and allegedly trying to intimidate Rajshree from filing a complaint. — Sanjay Nirupam (@sanjaynirupam) July 7, 2025 Rajshree has further shared a photo of the FIR registered against Rahil, and claimed that MNS workers are now targeting her online, citing her earlier criticism of the local Marathi population and her stand on the language imposition row. She alleges that the attack was not only a case of drunk driving but also politically motivated retaliation. Police investigations are currently underway. In the now-deleted video that triggered the backlash, Rajshree More had questioned the push to enforce the Marathi language across Maharashtra, arguing that locals should be encouraged to work harder instead of relying on linguistic pride. She went on to warn that the condition of Mumbai's local Marathi community could deteriorate further if migrant workers decided to leave the city, implying their crucial contribution to the city's functioning. Her remarks drew sharp criticism from Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) workers, particularly from the Versova unit, who promptly complained to her at the Oshiwara police station. Facing mounting pressure and political outrage, Rajshree later issued a public apology and took down the controversial video from her social media platforms. Video: Drunk, Half-Naked MNS Leader's Son Abuses Woman Speaking Marathi

Amid instances of Raj Thackeray's supporters thrashing non-Marathi speakers over the language controversy in Maharashtra, a video has surfaced online embarrassing the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS). The video shows the son of an MNS leader, drunk and half-naked, abusing a Marathi-speaking woman. The man, later identified as Rahil Sheikh, son of MNS leader Javed Sheikh, is also seen flaunting his father's position. Sharing the video, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Nirupam called it the real face of those who claim to be the protectors of Marathi culture. — Sanjay Nirupam (@sanjaynirupam) July 7, 2025 "Drunk out of his senses. Half-naked. An MNS leader's son is hurling abuses at a Marathi-speaking woman. On top of that, he's flaunting his father's influence. See the real face of those who claim to protect Marathi pride. Are these the same MNS people attacking Hindus under the pressure of Muslims?" said Mr Nirupam. Later, speaking to NDTV, he demanded stern action against Sheikh. Several instances have surfaced in the past few days of MNS workers assaulting and threatening non-Marathi speakers, on the lines of the radical campaign by their chief Raj Thackeray, who replicates the aggression of Marathi icon Bal Thackeray. Slamming MNS workers, Mr Nirupam said, "They are doing nothing but 'gundagardi' in the name of language. That is the ground reality of MNS." "Our government is not at all against Marathi, rather we are promoting the language," he further clarified.
