Akhilesh Questions Aniruddhacharya On Use Of Term ‘Shudra'. He Replies Later: ‘Musalmaano Se...'
In the video, Akhilesh Yadav is seen questioning the use of the word 'Shudra' to which Aniruddha Maharaj gave a reply which did not impress Yadav.
An old video of Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and Aniruddhacharya Maharaj has gone viral on social media. The clip is from 2023, when the spiritual guru was walking on the expressway while returning from Agra. During this walk, he met Akhilesh Yadav, who was travelling on the same route.
In the video, Akhilesh Yadav is seen questioning the use of the word 'Shudra' to which Aniruddha Maharaj gave a reply which did not impress Yadav. He then says to Aniruddha Maharaj, 'From today, our path and your path are different." This remark quickly became the centre of attention, leading to political and religious debates online.

After the video resurfaced, Aniruddhacharya Maharaj responded while addressing a gathering of devotees. He said, 'I want to ask Akhilesh Yadav, can he say the same thing to a Muslim – that our path and your path are different?"

He continued saying, 'You have been the former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. When the thinking of a king is like this, one can guess the direction of the state." He added that he did not make any objectionable statement during that meeting. According to him, Akhilesh raised the issue on his own while talking about the word 'Shudra'.
Aniruddhacharya Maharaj also said the episode shows 'ill-will" towards the Sanatan saints. He further added that the use of such statements by a political leader reflects a narrow mindset.
The video and the recent reply have triggered strong reactions from both sides. Supporters of Akhilesh Yadav and Aniruddhacharya Maharaj are sharing their views across various social media platforms. Some are calling the comment political, while others are calling it disrespectful to Hindu saints.
Aniruddhacharya Maharaj is a well-known spiritual leader with a large number of followers across India. He is famous for delivering religious sermons and has a strong presence among the devotees.
This incident has once again highlighted the ongoing tensions between religion and politics in the country. The debate continues to grow as more people react to the statements from both sides.

Owaisi blames BJP for mob desecrating tomb in Fatehpur, alleges environment of hatred against Muslims in UP
Hyderabad parliamentarian Asaduddin Owaisi blamed the 'atmosphere of hatred created by the BJP' that led to a mob desecrating the tomb of Nawab Abdul Samad in Fatehpur. Mr. Owaisi, who is the president of the Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen, while speaking to the media alleged that anti-social elements belonging to Hindutva groups, have been enjoying a free run in states like Uttar Pradesh. He further alleged such miscreants remain unchecked when they attack any site connected to the Muslim community. 'This is a result of the environment of hatred that the BJP has created. Especially in UP, they have a free run. Anything connected to Muslim culture, or history, any religious place, you are permitted to attack it, and take law in your hands. And the UP government will close its eyes and ears,' he said. He questioned why the police did not play a proactive role in stopping these miscreants. 'In the presence of police, graves are being destroyed and vandalised, and police does nothing. If the same people were from the Muslim community, then imagine what would have happened?' Mr. Owaisi claimed that 'the use of law' is based on religion and political ideology. 'This is a conspicuous example of the hatred against Muslims and to oppress them,' he said. 'What is astha then? Your astha is neither in rule of law, nor to keep the peace. You have one agenda, whether it be in Assam or UP, you want to target Muslims. You want to use bulldozers and render them homeless, or attack masjids or dargahs,' he said.

UP govt clarifies no plans to close schools amid concerns over dropouts and mergers
Uttar Pradesh Minister of State for Basic Education, Sandeep Singh, on Tuesday told the Assembly that the state government has not decided to close a single school. The minister was responding to queries by Samajwadi Party legislators Pankaj Patel, Anil Pradhan and Prabhu Narayan Singh Yadav during Question Hour on the second day of the Monsoon Session. Patel claimed that 88 lakh children had dropped out of school due to poor educational standards, and raised concern over the recent merger of some schools. In his reply, Singh clarified that no schools were being shut. However, institutions with fewer than 50 students were being merged with other schools located within a 1 km radius to ensure smooth teaching operations, he said. The minister added that children are enrolled in schools at the age of six, with those aged three to six encouraged to attend Anganwadi centres for early learning. According to Singh, primary schools in the state have 10,493,389 enrolled students, with 417,886 approved teaching positions, of which 338,590 are currently filled. Upper primary schools have 4,314,803 students, with 162,198 sanctioned teaching posts, and 120,860 teachers in service, the minister said.

Dharmasthala burials case: BJP asks Home Minister to table interim report of SIT
The Opposition BJP hit out at the Stage government for 'denigrating Hindu places of worship' such as Dharamasthala in Dakshina Kannada by ordering a Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe, which has so far not found evidence of the burial of over 100 bodies as claimed by a complainant. V. Sunil Kumar (BJP) raised the issue during the zero hour in the Legislative Assembly on Tuesday and demanded that Home Minister G. Parameshwara table an interim report of the SIT in the House. The SIT team, which had not been able to find skeletal remains, has been digging new sites shown by the complainant and providing scope for spreading rumours against the temple, he claimed. Keep in custody S. Suresh Kumar (BJP) said the SIT should keep the complainant in its custody to ensure an impartial probe into the Dharmasthala mass burial case. Now, the complainant arrives at the spots identified as burial sites accompanied by his persons claiming to be his lawyers. How can a probe be impartial if the complainant was allowed to be in the custody of advocates, he questioned. Mr. Parameshwara said he would be able to make a statement in the House only after the probe is completed and the SIT submits the report to him. However, Leader of the Opposition R. Ashok demanded the Home Minister make a statement on the matter on Wednesday. Araga Jnanendra (BJP) alleged that organisations affiliated to the Left ideology were largely responsible for 'denigrating the image of the temple.'
