Hajduk Split in discussions with Mainz over Richter
Hajduk Split are interested in signing Marco Richter, according to the latest update from Sky Germany. Transfer journalist Florian Plettenberg is aware that talks between the Croatian giants and Mainz are ongoing. The current plan is a one-year loan with a potential purchase option available from next summer. Mainz are asking for around €2million, while Richter is keen to leave and the club don't intend to stand in his way. Last season, the 27-year-old spent time on loan at Hamburger SV where he chipped in with a goal and 2 assists in 27 outings.

Liverpool on brink of stunning Alexander Isak BARGAIN
Liverpool are reportedly moving forward on a move for Alexander Isak. And it would be a bargain. The whole world knows Liverpool want to sign Alexander Isak. What we don't all know is exactly how likely that is. LFC Kits Shop Now LFC x New Era Shop Now LFC Signed Merch Shop Now LFC x Titleist Shop Now Isak certainly wants to move and that's one part of it. Newcastle United, though, understandably don't want to sell. But it sounds like Liverpool are making some sort of progress. Florian Plettenberg of Sky Germany claims there's an actual agreement with Isak on terms. "Understand: Alexander Isak has already reached a verbal agreement in principle with Liverpool over a contract running until 2031," he wrote on Twitter. But there's a more interesting part of his tweet. One we didn't see coming and that suggests the Reds may be banking a bargain here. Alexander Isak agrees terms Plettenberg claims Isak will earn a similar wage to Hugo Ekitike on moving to Anfield. That's a surprise, given Isak's reputation far exceeds that of the Frenchman. Now, Sky Germany have previously reported that Ekitike will earn around £245k per week at Liverpool. If Isak truly is earning similar, that's drastically down on the £300k per week he's reportedly asking from Newcastle right now (Talksport). The ultimate transfer fee will not be a cheap one, of course. Liverpool would likely break the British record in order to sign Isak.

Journalist: Liverpool reach Alexander Isak AGREEMENT
Liverpool have reportedly reached an agreement as they push to sign Alexander Isak. The striker is their top target this summer. It's been an open secret that Liverpool hoped to sign Alexander Isak this summer. It was first reported back in January that they were looking at the Swede and links have gathered momentum ever since. LFC Kits Shop Now LFC x New Era Shop Now LFC Signed Merch Shop Now LFC x Titleist Shop Now Now things feel like they're getting close. Isak is no longer a part of Newcastle United's pre-season and is pushing for an exit from the club. Liverpool have made everyone perfectly aware that they're ready to do a deal, presumably for a British-record transfer fee. It's all about convincing both Isak and Newcastle that a deal should happen, though. And according to one journalist, the former is sealed. Liverpool agree terms with Alexander Isak Journalist Florian Plettenberg claims Liverpool have reached an agreement with Alexander Isak. It's 'only' verbal at this stage but the player has given his yes. "Understand: Alexander Isak has already reached a verbal agreement in principle with Liverpool over a contract running until 2031," Plettenberg writes on Twitter. "Isak wants to make the move to LFC as early as this transfer window. The clubs are in contact. His salary at Liverpool would be similar to that of Hugo Ekitike's." Now, it does seem a little strange that Liverpool would pay Isak the same as Ekitike. If only because Isak holds a much, much bigger reputation than Ekitike and would be a larger transfer.

‘Currently in talks': Sky Sports journo drops major Monday morning bombshell as Utd ‘present project' to target
Manchester United have reportedly upped the ante in their pursuit of Benjamin Sesko. After several days of fans questioning whether the Red Devils would even officially enter the race for the Slovenian, they've now 'presented their project and financial offer' to him – but are vying neck and neck with Newcastle United. Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg confirmed this morning that the two clubs had stepped up their efforts to convince Sesko, with the Magpies 'pushing a lot' to get a deal over the line. All parties are 'currently in talks'. Why Newcastle are particularly desperate to win race for Benjamin Seko Sesko is an in-demand forward. (Photo by) It'll come as no surprise that Newcastle are really doing their utmost to sign the sought-after 22-year-old. They are now begrudgingly preparing for Alexander Isak's prospective exit after he informed the board he wanted to explore new options this summer. Liverpool, thought to be his first-choice suitor, have just signed off on a £65 million deal that'll see Luis Diaz join Bayern Munich this week, giving them a timely financial boost to prepare their blockbuster proposal for Isak. Newcastle have also suffered a series of snubs this summer, having watched primary targets Hugo Ekitike, Bryan Mbeumo, Liam Delap, Joao Pedro and James Trafford all opt for moves elsewhere. Now, it's safe to say they're floundering to reinforce Eddie Howe's options ahead of a campaign in which they have Champions League football to account for. United set sights on Sesko swoop As for United, they have had to navigate setbacks of their own: Delap was also atop their shortlist heading into the window while Viktor Gyokeres prioritised an Arsenal switch over a reunion with Ruben Amorim at Old Trafford. Now, both clubs are awaiting Sesko's decision. Formal offers are expected to be sent RB Leipzig's way after a verbal agreement has been reached.
