While earlier leaks mostly highlighted the Pro variant, new insights from Weibo now revealed key details about the standard Realme GT 8 variant, including its display size and battery capacity. Let's have a closer look at what's coming. Despite its smaller screen, the Realme GT 8 may house a large 7,000mAh battery, according to the latest leak. Specifics about other features remain under wraps, but reports suggest both the Realme GT 8 and GT 8 Pro will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset. Realme launched the GT 7 Pro in China back in November of last year, and the non-Pro GT7 only in April. This strategy is set to change for their successors, however, if a new rumor from China pans out. According to Digital Chat Station on Weibo, both the GT 8 and the GT 8 Pro will launch together in October. The Pro model is rumored to be powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset, which itself is launching in September. The Realme GT 8 Pro is also said to have competitive specs for its screen and battery, and a periscope telephoto camera. A previous leak said the handset would sport a "2K" resolution screen with an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, and a battery over 7,000 mAh in capacity with support for 100W wired charging. The periscope telephoto camera was rumored to have 200 MP resolution. Realme GT 8 Pro tipped to launch with a 200MP periscope camera, 2K display soon
Realme is preparing to launch its new flagship smartphone, the Realme GT 8 Pro, in China during the last quarter of this year. Recent leaks have revealed several key features that highlight the phone's upgraded design and hardware. The key insight comes from a well-known tipster, Digital Chat Station, who shared new details about the device. According to the leak, the Realme GT 8 Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 processor. The phone will include a 200MP periscope telephoto camera, likely based on Samsung's HP9 sensor. This camera sensor has a large 1/1.4-inch size and supports 4x4 pixel binning. This technology allows the camera to capture 12MP images with larger pixel sizes, which improves brightness and clarity in low-light conditions. The tipster suggested this camera could become one of the most powerful telephoto setups available in this segment, if it reaches production. However, Realme isn't stopping at launching phones with 7,000 mAh batteries since the Chinese brand has revealed its plans to bring smartphones with even bigger batteries to the market. Realme GT 7 5G In a conversation with Android Headlines, Realme said that it wants to be associated with battery innovation, similar to how Oppo and vivo are associated with their camera advancements, and confirmed that it will launch a smartphone with a 7,500 mAh battery before the end of 2025. Realme GT 7T 5G While Realme didn't reveal the name of this 7,500 mAh battery smartphone, we believe it could be the GT 8 Pro, which the brand confirmed will be released this year. The Realme GT 8 Pro will be the successor to last year's GT 7 Pro, which was launched with the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, 120W charging, and a 6,500 mAh battery (5,800 mAh in India).
