Prince Harry And Meghan Are Reportedly Reducing Staff To 'Save' Money Amid Luxury Lifestyle

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly scaled back the size of their household staff in an effort to save money. The former working royals have seen their staff numbers dwindle since they relocated to the U.S., amid reports of a strained relationship between the Duchess of Sussex and her former staff members. This report comes amid a worsening rift between Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and the royal family as the Duke of Sussex seeks reconciliation but continues to receive the silent treatment. According to Page Six, Harry and Meghan have cut off their communications team as they seek to manage their finances more effectively. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have seen a total of up to 25 staff members leave them since they stepped down from their royal roles and relocated to the U.S. "It's the same old story – they cycle through staff as quickly as normal people cycle through toilet paper. Milk lasts longer than their employees," a royal source said. It remains unclear whether Harry and Meghan are experiencing financial difficulties, despite their hit docu-series, "Harry & Meghan," and Meghan's Netflix show, "With Love, Meghan." The couple secured a Netflix deal reportedly worth up to $100 million, but that contract is set to expire this year. The streaming giant is reportedly now opting for "first look" deals instead of exclusive contracts, which means that Harry and Meghan could re-sign for significantly less than what their current deal is worth. The situation with their Netflix contract could prove challenging for Harry and Meghan, as their lifestyle is quite expensive. They've since lost their royal protection and now have a huge annual security bill, believed to be worth around $2 million, as well as cover their travel expenses, according to Page Six. When they moved across the pond five years ago, they paid a mouth-watering $14.65 million on their Montecito home, which is now believed to be worth around $27 million. Official documents show that they took out a $9.5 million mortgage and would pay it back with interest by 2050, indicating a $5 million deposit was made. They also have to pay a substantial annual property tax of $288,000, aside from covering the costs of their staff in communications and their personal office, as well as the Archewell Foundation, production, and employees at their California home. Harry and Meghan reportedly also have to pay for a part of their foreign tours, which have seen the Montecito-based royals visit Nigeria and Colombia. Back in June, Hello! Magazine reported that Harry and Meghan abruptly lost four members of their staff following an undisclosed number who had previously left their roles. They've lost Kyle Boulia, their L.A.-based deputy press secretary, and Charlie Gipson, who has been working as their European communications director. They also lost top Archewell executives, including Director of Communications Deesha Tank and former Head of Operations Lianne Cashin. A Vanity Fair report earlier this year suggested the royal couple is not easy to work with and that Meghan would often become cold and withdrawn if "something went poorly." Another exposé by The Hollywood Reporter claimed that "everyone's terrified of Meghan" and that she was nicknamed "Duchess Difficult" by her U.S. staff. A source said, "She belittles people, she doesn't take advice. They're both poor decision-makers, they change their minds frequently. Harry is a very, very charming person — no airs at all — but he's very much an enabler. And she's just terrible." Insiders told Page Six that the couple was so upset with the Vanity Fair story that Harry went out of his way to protect his wife by getting staff to work on a Us Weekly story featuring quotes from former staff members who expressed their love for working with the duo. Harry and Meghan may soon have more to worry about as reports suggest the duke's estranged brother, Prince William, is planning to strip them of their royal titles once he becomes Britain's next king. Reports suggest that William has not fully recovered from the way Harry and Meghan hurled disturbing accusations against the palace after they stepped down from their royal roles and the impact it had on their father, King Charles. "The king was especially stung by Harry labeling him an emotionally cold father in his scathing memoir, Spare," a courtier said, per Radar Online. "But the monarch is very concerned about his image and fears backlash from his subjects. That's why he'd never dare take away Harry's Sussex title – despite all the hurt he's caused." The insider further explained that Charles is concerned about how he'd come off if he stripped them of the title, but William doesn't care. "Behind the scenes, people are saying that the royals have quietly sanctioned the title removal – if Harry and Meghan step out of line again," the source noted. "The removal would require an Act of Parliament, but those in the know say the palace has already called several secret meetings to discuss the possibility and put an actionable plan in place."

Royal Family's cheeky comment on Jamie Laing vid after Strictly star & wife Sophie mocked Harry & Meg's pregnancy dance

BUCKINGHAM Palace has cheekily responded to a clip posted by Jamie Laing appearing to mock Harry and Meghan's baby dance video. The former Made In Chelsea star filmed himself and his pregnant wife Sophie Haboo as they recreated The Sussexes' infamous 'Baby Mama' dance. 4 4 4 A caption on the video reads: 'They said we couldn't film in Buckingham Palace." The footage, posted to Jamie's 1.6million followers on Instagram, shows the couple dancing at the royal residence, just metres from portraits of senior royals. Responding to the pair breaking the rules on filming in the palace, the Royal Family clearly saw the funny side. Its official Instagram account commented: 'We see you,' adding a pair of eye and wink emojis. The pair danced to Starrkeisha's Baby Mama, the same track used in Meghan and Harry's cringey original clip. While Jamie and Sophie's video could have sparked a royal backlash, palace aides appeared to see the funny side. Sophie, wearing a pastel yellow halter-neck dress, shows off her growing baby bump as Laing points to it. The King's Trust, which hosted the reception, also responded. 'All of our attendees are very well behaved,' it joked, with a laughing emoji. Fans were quick to react - with one joking: 'When you get to do it at the Palace but Harry and Meghan couldn't lol." Another added: 'In a world at times worrying and serious, this comment was so needed.' Meghan, 43, posted the cringey hospital dance footage to celebrate daughter Lilibet's fourth birthday earlier this month. It showed the former actress, heavily pregnant with their second child, making rowing movements and shimmying her shoulders beside a bed. Prince Harry also shuffles across in a hoodie to the strains of then-viral pregnancy hit The Baby Momma Dance. Meghan shared the 80-second clip with her three million followers on Instagram after earlier posting photos of her daughter. Royal expert Ingrid Seward slammed Meghan for being a hypocrite as the couple regularly whine about a lack of privacy. She told The Sun: 'They can do what they like but why put it online? "Does Meghan have no boundaries? I think it's vulgar, unnecessary, attention-seeking." The King's Trust, set up by King Charles in 1976, supports disadvantaged young people. It has helped more than a million into work, education or training. Jamie and Sophie were just two of several high-profile guests at the palace event, alongside George and Amal Clooney. 4

David Beckham pays heartfelt birthday tribute to future king and close friend Prince William - amid his estranged son Brooklyn's 'new friendship' with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

wished Prince William a happy birthday on Saturday, taking to Instagram Stories to pay tribute to the royal. The Prince of Wales turned 43 years old on June 31, and received a number of celebratory messages from well-wishers. Among them was one from former England captain David, 50, who shared two videos on the social media platform. The first, which showed the two men laughing together while appearing to attend an event, and had text superimposed on the snap. It simply said: 'Happy birthday Prince William,' while David signed off the message with an 'x', denoting a kiss. Meanwhile, the second photo, showed the men smiling and shaking hands and tagged the Prince and Princess of Wales. It also said 'Happy Birthday', followed by a heart emoji. David has been a longtime friend of the Royal Family and he was finally honoured with a knighthood for his services to sport and charity earlier this month. His heartfelt messages follow reports that 26-year-old Brooklyn - the eldest son of David and Victoria, who, alongside his wife Nicola Peltz, 30, has fallen out with his parents and siblings - are developing a close friendship with William's estranged brother Harry, 40, and his wife Meghan. David and Victoria have allegedly been described as being 'blindsided' by the growing rapport between their son and daughter-in-law, and the Sussexes. It's believed the Sussexes were once good friends with David and Victoria, until the quartet had a messy fallout, allegedly falling out after a row over allegations of leaking stories to the press. Friends of David and Victoria reportedly told The Sun: 'David and Victoria were blindsided by the news — they didn't see it coming. Of course it's a bit weird for them as they used to socialise with Meghan and Harry, and now their boy is doing it. 'David has no problem with Harry and has always acted very graciously towards him, even after the fall-out with Victoria, and they still communicate occasionally. Brooklyn was just 13-years-old when he first met David Beckham at The Sun's Millies awards in 2011. Posh and Becks also attended Harry, 40, and Meghan's, 43, wedding in 2018. However, years later Meghan and Harry fell out with Victoria and David after the couple allegedly had a suspicion the Beckhams leaked stories about Meghan's help from Victoria to the press. Victoria has denied the claim, which left David reportedly feeling 'absolutely bloody furious'. According to recent reports, Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz recently went to the Sussexes' Montecito mansion, where they had dinner together. It's claimed that the women had a 'deep and meaningful' chat and shared a bond after being accused by critics of being 'homewreckers' and women who 'tear apart their husbands' families. It is now alleged by a source that the Sussexes are now 'secretly supporting' Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz through their 'similar family feuds'. Despite the close friendship David and William share, the former footballer's social media messages to the royal could be construed by some as the athlete firmly showing where his allegiances lie. It does not appear that Meghan or Harry have publicly sent William any birthday wishes. However, William's father King Charles and William's wife Kate Middleton both shared tributes. On Saturday morning, the monarch shared a believed-to-be unseen image of the heir via the Royal Family 's official X (formerly Twitter) account. In the casual snap, the Prince of Wales is seen looking pensive as he sits outside in a field of grass in a rural setting. Dressed in a button down pale blue shirt, as well as navy slacks, the royal's informal look is further enhanced with his light beard. The image was accompanied by a simple caption which read: 'Happy Birthday to The Prince of Wales!'. Many royal watchers took to the message to share their own well-wishes with the future king. One wrote: 'Happy birthday to our handsome and loyal Prince. Well done, your Majesty!' Another added: 'Happy 43rd Birthday to HRH The Prince of Wales! Your dedication to service and family is truly inspiring. Wishing you a joyful day surrounded by loved ones!' 'Happy Birthday, William, The Prince of Wales,' said another social media user, keeping it short and sweet. Marking the passage of time, a further X user added: 'Happy Birthday!! Future King! I still remember you as a little boy. Hard to believe we are in the future. May you have a wonderful Birthday!!' And another said: 'And another said: 'Happy Birthday to His Royal Highness, Prince William, the Prince of Wales. Wishing him a remarkable day filled with joy, surrounded by his loved ones and friends. @RoyalFamily.' Meanwhile Charles' post was followed by a tribute shared by Kate Middleton, 43, who also shared a snap and short written message. The adorable image posted by Kate via the Wales' Kensington Royal social media account shows the heir sitting in a field, while playing with a group of small puppies, whose mother is believed to be Orla, the Wales' family dog. In the image, the father-of-three is dressed casually, wearing jeans paired with a long-sleeved green button down shirt, as the puppies crawl over him sweetly. The photograph is accompanied by a caption from the Princess of Wales and other members of their family. It says: 'Happy birthday! Love C, G, C, L, Orla and the puppies!' The Prince of Wales has enjoyed a busy week in the lead-up to his birthday after last weekend's Trooping The Colour and joining the Royal Ascot carriage procession on Wednesday. The photo shared by the Royal Family on Saturday was accompanied by a simple caption wishing William a happy birthday However, he wasn't joined by his wife at the Berkshire racecourse as expected after she pulled out of the event at the 11th hour. She was said to be 'disappointed' at not attending the famous social and sporting occasion with her husband Prince William and the King and Queen. Racegoers had been hoping to see the Princess after the Prince of Wales was named as one of the figures awarding race prizes during the second day of the meet. Ascot officials had confirmed at 12pm that the Princess was due to be in the second carriage in the royal procession with William, in a published carriage list. But less than half an hour later, Kensington Palace confirmed just before 12.30pm that Kate would not be attending - and a revised carriage list was published by Ascot. MailOnline understands the Princess was 'disappointed' not to be in attendance 'but she has to find the right balance as she fully returns to public facing engagements'. In the past week Kate has attended three high-profile events - Trooping the Colour, the annual Order of the Garter service and a visit to a V&A storage facility in London. It is a tradition for senior royals to have their birthdays marked with the release of photographs and messages. Numerous royal watchers took to the comments' section of the X post, to share their own well wishes with the royal Last year, the Royal Family wished the Prince of Wales a happy birthday with a sweet throwback snap on social media. A young William is pictured in an adorable black and white shot with his father, King Charles III, to celebrate his eldest son turning 42. The caption reads: 'Wishing the Prince of Wales a very happy birthday!' This year's birthday post comes almost after the Wales family were seen at Trooping the Colour - the annual celebration of the monarch's official birthday. William played a starring role in the event, riding on horseback alongside Princess Anne and the Duke of Edinburgh. And he was elaborately dressed for the occasion, donning the Full Ceremonial Guard Order of the Welsh Guards, and a bearskin hat. The prince also donned the Most Noble Order of the Garter Sash with the Lesser George and a Welsh Guards Sword. His outfit included his four, full size medals - the Gold, Diamond, and Platinum Jubilee medals, plus the Coronation Medal. In a caption accompanying the photo Kate shared to mark Prince William's birthday, she wrote: ''Happy birthday! Love C, G, C, L, Orla and the puppies!' Meanwhile, his wife and children travelled by carriage. Prince William Arthur Philip Louis of Wales was born second in line to the throne at St Mary's Hospital, Paddington, at 9.03pm on June 21 1982. He weighed 7lb 1 1/2oz and was the first-born son of the then-Prince and the Princess of Wales. At just nine months old, he accompanied his parents on a six-week official visit to Australia and New Zealand, which was a break from tradition with royal babies usually left at home in the care of nannies. His mother Diana, who separated from the then-Prince of Wales in 1992, died in a car crash in Paris in 1997. William was just 15 and his brother Prince Harry 12, and the boys walked behind the princess's coffin during a funeral procession through London. The prince met Kate Middleton at St Andrews University in Fife, and the pair married at Westminster Abbey in 2011 after dating for more than eight years. They welcomed their first child George in 2013, followed by Charlotte in 2015, and then Louis in 2018. After the death of the late Queen in 2022, the King announced in his first historic address that he had made William and Kate the new Prince and Princess of Wales. William has a long-running rift with his brother the Duke of Sussex, with no sign yet of a reconciliation. The fallout originated ahead of Harry's wedding to Meghan Markle, now the Duchess of Sussex. It worsened after the accusations Harry publicly levelled at his brother in his double tell-alls: his Netflix documentary and his memoir Spare. Despite years elapsing since that time, the once reportedly close siblings are still estranged from each other. This has prompted some to wonder whether the rift between the two will ever be healed. Since becoming the Prince of Wales, William has kept himself busy with some major initiatives. In 2023, he launched Homewards, his five-year drive to eradicate homelessness in six locations around the UK. And he has continued to work on his other passion projects. These include raising mental health awareness, and the Earthshot Prize, his £50million environmental competition to find solutions to help the planet.

Meghan will see sex assault claims against best pal Tyler Perry as SO toxic – watch her drop him, experts slam

MEGHAN Markle will cut off her friend Tyler Perry over his sexual assault allegations, experts claim. Perry previously let Harry and Meghan stay at his $18 million Beverly Hills mansion after they quit royal life. 3 3 He is also godfather to the couple's daughter Lilibet - which royal expert Hugo Vickers believes reflects a strong friendship. Earlier this week Tyler Perry was sued for sexual assault and harassment by fellow actor Derek Dixon, which Perry's team has denied as "a scam". Now, royal experts believe Meghan will turn her back on her former friend amidst a sexual assault claim. Speaking on The Sun's Royal show, expert Samara Gill has suggested that the allegations against Perry could damage the Sussexes' brand. Samara said: "There's nothing very Christian about a sexual assault claim and I think it's just one other damaging thing to add to their now-war chest of things that have been a problem for them." She added: "I think it shows the type of people that Meghan likes to surround herself with and I think it is damaging to their brand yet again because he was meant to be their closest friend." Samara also pointed out that the couple had made the most of Perry's wealth - including his home, and his plane - when they left the royal family in 2020. Now though, she thinks the couple will be keen to distance themselves from the alleged abuser. She added: "Just watch how quickly they go." Samara criticised the couple's hypocrisy, as they cut off toxicity "even though they're the ones who are really toxic." It's part of a pattern of behaviour that Samara said reflects their eagerness to use people before throwing them aside. Meghan's kids will be SO angry when they grow up & realise how they were used by her Perry previously let the couple stay in his $18 million LA home after they left the UK in 2020. At the time, he spoke on Today with Hoda and Jenna about his decision to let them stay at the lavish property. Perry said: "It was a very difficult time for them. What I know about the two of them, and I wish the world knew, how much these two people love each other." More recently, Tyler appeared in the Meghan's new Netflix show. Earlier this week Tyler Perry was sued for sexual assault and harassment by fellow actor Derek Dixon. The lawsuit claims $260 million in damages for harassment that occurred over several years. Dixon alleges that Perry repeatedly sent sexually suggestive texts, despite Dixon making it clear he wasn't interested. This later progressed to Perry groping Dixon in July 2021, the lawsuit alleges. Finally, Dixon filed a complaint with the Equal Employment and Opportunity Commission in June 2024, before leaving his role in The Oval. Matthew Boyd, an attorney for Perry, gave the following statement to PEOPLE. He said: "This is an individual who got close to Tyler Perry for what now appears to be nothing more than setting up a scam. "But Tyler will not be shaken down and we are confident these fabricated claims of harassment will fail."

Meghan's friend hits out: ‘Sickening and cruel'

IN LONDON With opinion divided across the millions of people who have viewed Meghan's pregnancy dancing video, one of her friends has spoken out passionately in her defence. Christopher Bouzy, who appeared in the Harry & Meghan Netflix docu-series, defended her against the wave of criticism she received recently after posting the throwback clip showing the couple dancing to the viral Baby Mama song in a birthing suite. Some of the more extreme reactions from trolls also included unsubstantiated accusations that her pregnant bump may even be fake. 'Imagine, for a moment, what it would feel like to have some of the happiest and most vulnerable moments of your life turned into ammunition for hate,' Bouzy told Newsweek. 'Every maternity dress and every baby video becomes 'evidence' for strangers obsessively trying to prove your pregnancies were a sham. It is sickening and cruel.' The social media expert, whose company has investigated the online trolling of Meghan, also pointed out that she had previously spoken about her 'suicidal thoughts at the height of the abuse'. 'One doesn't have to stretch to see a link between that despair and the ceaseless torrent of vilification she endured,' he told the publication. 'Beyond the personal toll on Meghan and Harry, there's a broader societal damage to consider. When conspiracy theories like these flourish, they corrode our collective grasp on reality and decency.' Meghan's dancing post was part of her online tribute to her and Harry's daughter, Princess Lilibet, in honour of her fourth birthday last week. The pair are also parents to six-year-old Prince Archie. While her dancing video may have prompted a fair bit of mockery, it also managed to rack up thousands of likes and millions of views. 'Meghan is very pleased with the video,' a source close to Harry and Meghan told the Daily Mail this week, in the wake of the viral reaction. 'In the UK, everyone's reaction has been a bit prudish, but everywhere else, particularly in America and especially with young people, it has been a huge hit. 'She and her team count [the video] as a 'win,' which can only be a boost for sales. Her new products are marketed at Americans and not at the UK market.'
