Public relations — the voice that builds trust and shapes tomorrow

In this fast-paced era of growth, development and change marked by transformations across all sectors and levels, public relations emerges as a solid pillar in its positive impact and alignment. The role of public relations is crucial in building a strong reputation and shaping the public image for anyone seeking to enhance perception of themselves, whether at an individual or organizational level. True success lies in how well they manage and master the methodology of public relations, given its concrete impact in achieving success and managing crises, especially amid today's rapid digital and media evolution. When done right, it strengthens credibility and trust between the target audience and the relevant stakeholders. Affirming the importance of public relations in the lives of individuals and societies and recognizing its role in the modern world as a strategic tool in managing corporate communication, shaping reputation and building trust, today — July 16 — marks World Public Relations Day. It is an occasion to shed light on this field and profession, whose influence continues to grow within both public and private sector entities. Public relations is no longer a peripheral function limited to issuing press releases or managing media campaigns. It has become a fully integrated strategic practice that significantly contributes to shaping institutional direction and enhancing ability to achieve goals with professionalism and consistency. The profession has evolved into a vital core function and an urgent requirement for any ambitious organization. It plays a key role in crafting public perception, shaping identity and guiding institutions in how they engage with their audiences and partners. It also serves as a foundational bridge for building trust with stakeholders, managing challenges and turning them into opportunities for reputation enhancement and institutional growth. Public relations relies on a scientific approach, beginning with audience and market analysis and trend observation, then progressing into strategic planning that aligns with an organization's operational goals. It emphasizes impact measurement and effectiveness to ensure results that can be evaluated and improved upon. Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 has made it clear that public relations is no longer an optional activity; it is a strategic necessity that supports this national transformation. The vision aims to elevate the Kingdom's global standing as a leader in investment, tourism and culture, while empowering communities and the private sector as key partners in development. Through flagship programs such as Quality of Life, the Pilgrims Experience Program and Human Capability Development Program, public relations plays a pivotal role in managing the Kingdom's image globally through communications campaigns, media relations and public diplomacy. At the same time, it fosters internal communication with the Saudi society to build trust, raise awareness of ongoing reforms and ensure positive engagement with national aspirations. On World Public Relations Day, we take a moment to appreciate this profession and its deep strategic value far beyond one-way messaging or short-term promotion. It is both a science and an art, working hand in hand to build trust, shape long-term partnerships and empower institutions to connect with their environments with awareness, authenticity, and transparency. This day is a reminder of the ongoing need to develop and elevate public relations practices in ways that meet the expectations of communities and respond to the challenges of the future. Public relations continues to prove itself as a vital pillar of institutional excellence and a key contributor to the success of national initiatives and visions. To all professionals and enthusiasts in the field, it is important to recognize that public relations is not a secondary function, it is the driving force of any ambitious institution striving for leadership and distinction. It is a critical element in building institutional reputation, strengthening trust and enabling effective communication with all stakeholders. It requires constant evolution, ongoing development of tools and skills, and a keen ability to read shifts in public behavior and needs. I therefore invite those working in this field to adopt creativity as a mindset, innovation as a tool and active listening as a core value. For it is through public relations that images are crafted, trust is built, stories are told, and messages and missions are powerfully conveyed. • Waleed bin Huzaim is a corporate communications and international protocol consultant.

Where to watch The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3 in the UK

It's been two years since season two of The Summer I Turned Pretty wrapped up on an emotional cliffhanger. The last series, following the book's storyline, ends with Belly (Lola Tung) choosing to be with Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno), leaving Conrad (Christopher Briney) brokenhearted – delighting some viewers and devastating others in what has been a very divisive Fisher brothers love triangle. Wondering what happens now? We're about to find out. Luckily for us, we won't have to wait too long to get our fix, with the third and final series premiering worldwide on 16 July. It's yet to be announced whether the entire last season will be aired all at once or if we'll need to wait for weekly episodes as before. We could even see the series split into two parts. What we do know though is there will be 11 hour-long episodes in the final season, giving us a few more episodes than both the first and second seasons. You can trust us to bring you the latest details on episode air dates as soon as we hear. Prime Video released a much-anticipated trailer that features Taylor Swift's hits. At the beginning of the trailer, we see Jeremiah and Belly announce their engagement, but over the course of the three-minute preview, it seems Conrad will cause as much drama as the previous seasons. It seems we're in for a treat. As you wait for the 16 July release date, you can catch up on the past two seasons of The Summer I Turned Pretty. You will need an Amazon Prime membership to do so, it costs £9.99 per month, but, if you haven't been an Amazon Prime member in the last year, you can sign up for a 30-day free trial, which comes with a whole range of other Amazon Prime benefits. What is ' The Summer I Turned Pretty' season 3 about? Without giving away too much, Prime Video's official synopsis for the final season of The Summer I Turned Pretty reads 'It's the end of her junior year of college, and Belly's looking forward to another summer in Cousins with her soulmate, Jeremiah. Her future seems set until some core-shaking events bring her first love Conrad back into her life. Now on the brink of adulthood, Belly finds herself at a crossroads and must decide which brother has her heart. Summer will never be the same…' If the latest trailer, released on 12 June, is anything to go by, we can expect plenty of happy memories at Cousins Beach, tears, fist fights, important decisions, and a wedding. But, who will Belly choose... Are you team Conrad or Jeremiah?

'The Summer I Turned Pretty' Cast Teases Intense "Heartbreak" After That Major Time Jump. See The New Pics!

There's nothing more magical than sitting down with your BFF and your favorite soda to watch . The final season of the summer romance show is premiering on Prime Video July 16, and thanks to , we have some brand new photos. Let's just get into 'em because I can't wait any longer! When The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3 opens, Belly and Jeremiah have been dating for two years — and to help them get into that relationship mindset, Jenny Han had Lola Tung and Gavin Casalegno compete against Rain Spencer and Sean Kaufman (Taylor and Steven) with a questionnaire and scavenger hunt. Who won? They're still debating it. Either way, the start of season 3 proves just how strong JellyFish is going, and the Team Conrad vs. Team Jeremiah debate is sure to get even hotter. "A successful love triangle is one where, no matter what happens, people are going to be devastated and heartbroken," Jenny Han tells EW. "Because if the answer feels really clear and easy, then there's no real conflict. No matter what you do, someone's going to be hurt by it." "They say even though heartbreak sucks and hurts real bad, that means that you felt something, right?" Lola Tung adds. "So even if you walk away from it feeling a little heartbroken and sad, it's like, 'At least we were able to make you feel something.' You're here to break hearts as much as fill hearts." But don't worry fellow Conrad lovers. We get a closer-than-ever look at his character considering Christopher Briney was tapped to do one of the episode's voiceovers (a job usually reserved for Lola, with the exception of Gavin's season 2 narration). "It's cool to steal the voiceover spot for a little while," he says. "It's fun to have exactly what the subtext is. It makes the scene easier, because that's half the work." Either way, post-grad Conrad is a little bit blonder and a little less moody, which is going to make me swoon even harder. And author extraordinaire Laurel is getting down to business... ...as is Steven. But two years into his romance with Taylor, things are a little less stable between this duo. "If the final season was an ice cream flavor for Steven and Taylor, it'd be Rocky Road," Sean Kaufman tells EW. "She and Steven have broken up and gotten back together more times than anyone remembers, and their relationship status is so confusing," Rain Spencer adds. "They don't even know what it is. But there will be romance. I'm rooting for them." After that "Snow on the Beach" moment? Say it isn't so! No matter how many times you've read the series, Jenny Han promises "there are surprises. And there are things that aren't exactly like the books." "But you don't really know," Gavin Casalegno says, while Lola chimes in with, "You have no clue." "You have not read the scripts!" Chris says. We'll have to wait until July 16 to see exactly what goes down in Cousins Beach this year. Check out why .
