Honor's next tablet is even thinner than the Galaxy S25 Edge
Honor is one of the companies that's expected to launch a Galaxy Z Fold 7 competitor before Samsung introduces its flagship. In fact, the Chinese company has already confirmed it will unveil the Magic V5 on July 2. The catch is the foldable will only be introduced in China, so the Galaxy Z Fold 7 might not have any competition globally after Magic V5 is not the only interesting product Honor plans to announce on July 2. The sequel to the MagicPad 2 tablet is also going to be introduced alongside the company's foldable early next month. If you think the Galaxy S25 Edge is incredibly thin, then you'll probably think it's impossible for a tablet to be thinner. According to the General Manager of Honor's Tablet and IoT Product division, the MagicPad 3 will pack 'the largest battery in the industry.' Based on previous reports, Honor's tablet should feature a huge 12,450 mAh battery. Another 'industry's first' for the MagicPad 3 is the 13.3-inch LCD Oasis eye-protection display, which takes advantage of a dual DDIC setup for dual-core drivers. The innovations that Honor integrated into the display will enable the tablet to offer an ultra-high resolution and refresh rate experience. Also, the tablet's huge battery is said to support 66W wired charging speeds. Several pictures showing the tablet's back and sides have been recently published by Honor on Weibo. These only show the Floating Gold version of the MagicPad 3, but two other color options are likely to be available at launch: Starry Gray and Moon Shadow White. Honor publishes official images showing the upcoming MagicPad 3
Honor is unveiling the Magic V5 foldable smartphone on July 2, and alongside it the MagicPad 3 tablet. The brand has now started teasing the new tablet and posted the official images you can see below. Honor MagicPad 3 official images Honor also confirmed the MagicPad 3's most important specs. It will come with a 13.3-inch LCD screen with "3.2K" resolution and 165 Hz refresh rate. The device will also have a 12,450 mAh battery, while still being 5.79mm thin and weighing just 595g. Honor also promises a reinforced body structure designed to resist bending. Samsung's upcoming flagship tablet is getting tough competition months before launch

One of the brands that are trying to gain a little bit of market share before Samsung introduces its new flagships is Honor. The Chinese company is almost ready to launch its top-tier slate, the MagicPad 3. The MagicPad 3 is supposed to be introduced sometime in June, which is why Chinese tipsters have already started to leak information about the upcoming flagship tablet. Famous leaker Digital Chat Station has just posted on Weibo MagicPad 3's key specs, and judging from what they're claiming, it appears that the MagicPad 3 might not bring so many upgrades as it should if Honor wants to convince customers their products are better than the competition's. The first disappointment is that the MagicPad 3 apparently comes with a slightly downgraded display. The previous model, MagicPad 2, has a 12.3-inch OLED display with 1920 x 3000 pixels resolution and 144Hz refresh rate. In comparison, the MagicPad 3 is rumored to feature a 13.2-inch LCD display, probably with a similar 144Hz refresh rate. The main issue is that the quality of panel (OLED vs. LCD) is definitely in favor of the MagicPad 2. On the bright side, the MagicPad 3 seems to have a slightly higher display, so that's a plus for those who are looking for very big tablets. Besides that, the reliable tipster says the MagicPad 3 will be equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, which isn't too bad even though this chipset was launched two years ago. The fact that the Galaxy Tab S11 is said to pack MediaTek's Dimensity 9400, a chipset released last year, even the odds a bit. Honor launched the MagicPad 2 tablet in July of last year, and so you may be expecting a successor to arrive pretty soon, and you'd be right, as it turns out. According to a new rumor out of China, the MagicPad 3 is on its way, and will be officially unveiled by the end of this month. Additionally, its main specs have been outed. It will support 66W wired charging, and will be offered in Moon Shadow White, Floating Gold, and Starry Sky Gray. Compared to its predecessor, the display tech has switched from OLED to LCD for price reasons, and the MagicPad 3 has an ever so slightly larger screen, and a faster chipset.
