Daniel Dubois reveals new training tactic ahead of Oleksandr Usyk fight
Dubois is set to take on Usyk in a heavyweight bout on Saturday night and has been revealing how he has altered his training schedule ahead of the fight Daniel Dubois is gearing up for his highly anticipated rematch with Oleksandr Usyk by training at night to mimic the conditions of their upcoming bout. The two heavyweights are set to clash on Saturday night for the undisputed heavyweight title, with Usyk looking to become a three-time undisputed champion and Dubois seeking vengeance. The rematch, taking place at Wembley Stadium, sees Dubois determined to even the score on home turf. Their first encounter in 2023 ended with Usyk securing a ninth-round knockout victory, but not without controversy. At one point, 'Triple D' managed to floor Usyk with a body shot, which was later ruled a low blow, causing consternation within Dubois' camp. Dubois is pulling out all the stops to inflict Usyk's first defeat, including altering his training schedule to late evenings instead of early mornings. Speaking to DAZN, the British heavyweight champ explained the change: "It is how you be fighting, isn't it? And it is much cooler. Training in the day... you would be boiling," reports All Out Fighting. READ MORE: Tyson Fury's cousin knocked down in shock defeat to opponent with 59 losses He added: "I do like the heat. Makes it harder, but not too much harder. it is bearable now. Bearable, but it is good work. It is always good work." Regarding his upcoming bout with Usyk, Dubois has revealed he has made a few changes and is hoping that they will make a positive difference come fight night. "A couple of things we have added," he shared. "On fight night, you will see it come to fruition. Right now, it is the hard work, the grind in the gym, the every day sort of work and just keeping on top of it is what I am doing right now." The Brit issued a spine-chilling warning, confidently stating his intention to decisively defeat the Ukrainian. "This time around, I am going to knock him out and I am going to win. That is going to be the main difference from that first fight to this fight. That is going to be the main thing... I am excited, but I have still got a lot of work to do before the 19th. "So, every day, we are chipping away. Right now, I have not got much to say. I am just humble and ready to fight, ready to win, ready to shock the world and take all the belts."
