Pamela Anderson hails Liam Neeson for putting her at ease during The Naked Gun shoot

Pamela Anderson has hailed Liam Neeson for putting her at ease during the filming of The Naked Gun reboot. The former Baywatch actress, 58, has been widely reported to be in a relationship with Schindler's List star Liam, 73, and she has now spoken to the New York Times to praise her co-star him for helping ease her nerves as they shot the cop comedy reboot. She said: 'He has so much charm and so much charisma that you kind of just fall into it. 'I can't explain it because I've never experienced it before.' The new Naked Gun film marks a reboot of the classic American crime spoof franchise originally made famous by Leslie Nielsen. Liam takes on the lead role as detective Frank Drebin Jr., while Pamela plays his love interest, Beth — a woman convinced her brother has been murdered, launching the pair on an absurd adventure across Los Angeles. Pamela added she 'still felt unsure of herself at times during filming', but said Liam's calm presence on set kept her grounded. She said he told her 'You're doing great" during shooting. Pamela added: 'To do comedy, it gives you a lot of energy when you're in something so joyful and silly. 'Liam has done over 100 movies, and I hope he's inspired to do even more (comedies.)' Liam, known for dramatic and action-heavy roles in the likes of Taken and Batman Begins, also admitted to having doubts about leading a comedy. He told the New York Times: 'I don't think of myself as funny-funny, but I love laughing and gagging about.' Reflecting on his performance, he added: 'I thought I was OK, seriously. I thought I was OK.' The Naked Gun franchise began in 1982 with the TV series Police Squad! and expanded into three successful films. A source close to the production has told People Pamela and Liam are 'in the early stages' of a relationship, calling it 'a budding romance'. The insider added: 'It's sincere, and it's clear they're smitten with each other.' Pamela and Liam pair are currently promoting the film and, according to the source, are 'enjoying each other's company' off-screen during the promotional tour.

The Naked Gun film review: Liam Neeson & Pamela Anderson's offscreen chemistry is every bit as impressive on screen

THE NAKED GUN (15) 85mins ★★★★★ 4 IT'S shaping up for a year of unlikely bedfellows – Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau, Keir Starmer and Donald Trump, and now Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson. The Irish Oscar-nominated star of Schindler's List told reporters 'I'm madly in love' with the former Baywatch actress after filming this remake together. At the premieres and in interviews, they've been giggling like school kids. That offscreen chemistry is every bit as impressive on screen, with shapely Pamela smouldering as she paws at her handsome co-star. What's even more surprising is that Neeson, best known for playing the tough guy in the Taken series, is so good at comedy. Just like the late Leslie Nielsen from the 1988 original, he's a serious actor who is funny because he's not trying to be funny. It's beyond me how he keeps a straight face while wearing a skirt that reveals strawberry-pattern pants underneath. In the 2025 reboot, Neeson plays Lt Frank Drebin Jr, who is the son of Nielsen's character in the original trio of movies. As with Nielsen's Drebin he's an accident-prone Los Angeles detective who finds himself caught up in a dastardly plot. Pamela's Beth Davenport points the bumbling cop in the right direction and they fall for each other. Remarkably, Neeson turning out to be a comedy genius is not the most surprising thing about The Naked Gun. Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson make out in steamy on-air moment as Today host Craig Melvin asks 'are you an item-' What's really unusual about this remake is that it's not a pale imitation of the original. Producer Seth MacFarlane, best known for the Family Guy TV series, and director Akiva Schaffer (Saturday Night Live) have not altered the winning formula of the original film too much. It is packed with corny jokes, such as Lt Drebin telling Beth 'take a chair' and her then walking off with one of the stools. There are also edgier ones that have earned the film a 15 certification. A perfectly innocent encounter between Drebin, Beth and a dog takes on an X-rated appearance through an infrared camera. David Zucker, who directed the first two Naked Gun movies, also put adult material into his comedies. Not all of the gags work, but they come so thick and fast, I found myself laughing more than I have done in a cinema for years. It's so funny I'm even hoping for a sequel. Now, that's really surprising. DOGSPIRACY (12A) 98mins ★★☆☆☆ 4 JUMPING on the bandwagon of movies with 'piracy' in their titles, this documentary has nothing to do with canine pirates. Instead, like Seaspiracy and Cowspiracy, it is about a 'conspiracy'. British vet Dr Marc Abraham believes 'dark forces' keep puppy farms in business. He fronts this film which sets out to expose what can be a cruel trade, with dogs sometimes kept in filthy, cramped conditions. I expected lots of footage of undercover animal rights campaigners revealing such terrible behaviour, but sadly, the film's producers don't appear to have secured the rights to show much of this readily available material. Instead we see Marc watching it on his laptop in a cafe from an angle that reveals nothing. There are disturbing images of farms in Eastern Europe, but this film's focus is on the US. There, showing off his chest hair in the cold, Marc gets excited about being able to take his camera crew into an Amish puppy mill – which has heated floors and is spotless. This is no hard-hitting documentary . . . I was sold a pup. SAVAGES (PG) 87mins ★★★☆☆ 4 STOP-MOTION splendour meets an urgent call to protect the rainforest in this heartfelt animation from My Life As A Courgette director Claude Barras. In this follow-up, Barras swaps the orphanage of his debut for the endangered rainforests of Borneo. The story follows Kéria, a spirited teenager living on the edge of the forest with her widowed father, who reluctantly works for a palm‑oil plantation. Kéria's world is upended when young cousin Selaï moves in with them after his home is destroyed. The pair, along with Oshi, an orphaned orangutan, then embark on an adventure blending environmental urgency with personal discovery. The villains – swaggering plantation bosses – are rendered in broad strokes, but the film's honesty keeps it compelling. Armed only with blowpipes that fire harmless darts, the locals' stand becomes a symbol of defiance against greed and intimidation. Savages' clever blend of charm, ecological awareness and cultural respect makes it a winning, if slightly conventional, addition to contemporary animation.

6 adorable Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson TikToks from 'Naked Gun' tour

Frank Drebin is back, this time with Liam Neeson playing the lead cop in the new The Naked Gun movie. Neeson is Frank Drebin Jr., the son of the iconic Leslie Nielsen character from 1988's The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad!, with Pamela Anderson (The Last Showgirl) and Paul Walter Hauser (The Fantastic Four: First Steps) joining the fun. The movie has gotten outstanding reviews, currently sitting at a 91 percent on Rotten Tomatoes with over 130 reviews. The chemistry on screen — both romantically and comedically — between Neeson, 73, and Anderson, 58, is undeniable, and this week the couple seemed to confirm a real-life relationship. Anderson even described her excitement at seeing Neeson's name on the daily call sheet on set. The press tour for The Naked Gun has provided some utterly adorable moments for the duo, and it has led to so many wonderful TikToks as the couple heaped praise on each other and gushed over what a delight it was to star in the movie together. Romance or fauxmance: Are these cozy movie co-stars actually dating?

Is it true love — or simply a fauxmance? Rumored Hollywood relationships between co-stars have tantalized fans and juiced up the box office for decades. From Judy Garland and Mickey Rooney going on fake 'dates' in the 1940s (photo ops set up by p.r.) to Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt hitting it off on the set of 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith' (the very real start of a future disaster), the question of whether on screen chemistry is real or just acting is a staple of Tinseltown. Advertisement In 2025, celebs are still fueling rampant speculation about their status — whether legit or choreographed. They're being touchy on red carpets, flirting during interviews and getting caught by paparazzi at cozy dinners. But which are the genuine article and which are fake? 12 Liam Neeson said he's 'madly in love' with his 'Naked Gun' co-star Pamela Anderson. Getty Images for SiriusXM Pamela Anderson & Liam Neeson Advertisement Their movie: 'The Naked Gun' Evidence for: Nobody saw this one coming. The 58-year-old star of 'Baywatch' and the 73-year-old Oscar-nominated actor from 'Schindler's List' have been giggling like schoolgirls on every headline-making step of their film's press tour. Neeson got tongues wagging when he said he's 'madly in love' with his co-star in a fall interview with People. At the film's premiere, Anderson gave him a big kiss on the cheek, and they sweetly posed together with their respective sons. When asked on the 'Today' show if they're an item, Anderson coyly shot back: 'I don't understand the question.' Advertisement Multiple outlets have said they are, indeed. 12 Anderson gave Neeson a smooch on the 'Naked Gun' premiere red carpet. News Licensing / MEGA 'What is happening? Even they may not know,' a source told Page Six. 'They are figuring things out along the way. It's fun to watch.' Evidence against: Since Neeson's wife, actress Natasha Richardson, died in 2009, he's only been in one reported relationship — with p.r. exec Freya St. Johnston. That ended in 2012. Advertisement And in October of last year, the Irish actor went so far as to close the book on ever dating again. 'No, in a word,' he told People. 'I'm past all that.' But, hey, one interview is not a binding contract. 12 Tom Cruise has been spotted with Ana de Armas at dinners, on a helicopter ride, at an Oasis concert and more. BACKGRID Ana de Armas & Tom Cruise Their movie: 'Deeper,' out next year Evidence for: Getting together with co-stars comes as naturally to Cruise, 63, as hanging onto a midair biplane or scaling the Burj Khalifa. Here's a sample of his resume: Rebecca De Mornay ('Risky Business'), Nicole Kidman ('Days of Thunder') and Penélope Cruz ('Vanilla Sky'). Could de Armas be next? Earlier this year, Cruise was seen having dinner with the 'Blonde' Oscar nominee in London, and he took her on a helicopter flight. Advertisement 'Their romance is definitely on the down low,' a source told Us Weekly. 12 The duo have sparked intense dating rumors. BACKGRID They took in an Oasis concert and this week the duo was photographed holding hands in Vermont, where de Armas owns a house. Sounds like somebody's getting ready to jump on Oprah's couch. Advertisement Evidence against: Rumors swirled in November that de Armas was getting close to Manuel Anido Cuesta, the stepson of the president of Cuba, after they were seen together in Madrid. And, of course, there is that pesky 21-year age gap. But that's far from an impossible mission for ageless Agent Ethan Hunt. 12 Pedro Pascal and Vanessa Kirby have been called out for their touchy 'Fantastic Four: First Steps' press tour. X/sakotrak Pedro Pascal & Vanessa Kirby Advertisement Their movie: 'The Fantastic Four: First Steps' Evidence for: Reed Richards and Sue Storm have been all over each other. The Invisible Woman was hardly transparent when she stroked Mr. Fantastic's face during a TV interview. And onstage, Pascal, 50, stretched to grab the arm of Kirby, 37. Advertisement The British actress from 'Mission: Impossible' and 'The Crown' says the handsiness, which has confused some onlookers, is a result of actorly worries. 12 Kirby said the handsiness is a result of being 'nervous.' Getty Images for Disney 'What happened is we were both incredibly nervous going out in front of thousands of people who love this comic,' she told Vanity Fair of their Comic-Con appearance. 'He wanted me to know that we were in this together, and I found it a lovely gesture and was very glad to squeeze his hand back.' Evidence against: While the baby in 'First Steps' is a fictional character, Kirby is actually pregnant. She's engaged to her American partner Paul Rabil, president of the Premier Lacrosse League. 12 'Jurassic World Rebirth' co-stars Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey have a habit of greeting each other with a kiss on the Johansson & Jonathan Bailey Their movie: 'Jurassic World Rebirth' Evidence for: In June, the British 'Wicked' heartthrob, 37, and 'Black Widow' star, 40, gave each other smooches on the lips in full view of flashing cameras at the New York and London premieres of their dino blockbuster. The PDAs drove fans wilder than if they'd spotted a T. Rex. 'We're friendly people,' Johansson told 'Today.' 'I've got a lot of love to give. What can I say?' 12 Bailey believes friends should kiss. 'Life's too short,' he said. Getty Images for SiriusXM And Bailey defended the mouth-to-mouth salutation to 'Access Hollywood.' 'Life's too short not to be able to show your friends the true love,' the 'Bridgerton' star said. 'Embrace kissing the friends, I say!' Evidence against: Well, Bailey is openly gay, which could make this theory go quickly extinct. And Johansson is married to 'SNL' actor Colin Jost, with whom she has a son. That's another comet headed toward our fan fantasy. However, as Jeff Goldblum's Dr. Ian Malcolm once said, 'Life finds a way.' 12 Glen Powell and Sydney Sweeney have been the subject of romance rumors since they starred in 2023's 'Anyone But You.' Getty Images Glen Powell & Sydney Sweeney Their movie: 'Anyone But You' Evidence for: This duo is about as old-Hollywood as it gets. Back in 2023, Sweeney and Powell were at the peak of their powers. During the rollout of the spicy rom-com 'Anyone But You,' Powell had already emerged as one of the hottest new movie stars after the mega-hit 'Top Gun: Maverick' and the well-received 'Hit Man.' And Sweeney's fame had also exploded in the wake of HBO's 'Euphoria' and 'The White Lotus.' Then, shirtless and bikini-clad snaps from the tropical set caused cheating rumors, which both denied. 12 The 'Euphoria' and 'Twisters' stars recently attended the wedding of Powell's sister. sydney_sweeney/Instagram But the flames were fanned further when Powell's girlfriend Gigi Paris broke up with him over the fracas. 'I was shattered,' she later told the 'Too Much' podcast, calling it 'a p.r. scheme at the expense of our relationship.' And Sweeney, 27, who was engaged to producer Jonathan Davino, played it up. 'It's a rom-com. That's what people want! Glen and I don't really care,' she said to Variety. The storm died down, and then this spring a newly single Sweeney heated chatter up again when she attended Powell's sister's wedding in Texas. 'Anyone But You' grossed $220 million. Hollywood pros have been jonesing for a similar dream situation to fuel their own films, sources told The Post. Evidence against: Sweeney and Powell have always maintained that their on-screen chemistry comes from their great platonic friendship. And last week, Sweeney was spotted vacationing at a lake in Idaho, and riding a Jet Ski with an unidentified smiling hunk. 12 Austin Butler and Zoe Kravitz are starring in 'Caught Stealing.' / BACKGRID Zoe Kravitz & Austin Butler Their movie: 'Caught Stealing,' out in August Evidence for: Not only do Kravitz, 36, and Butler, 33, play love interests in a new thriller set in New York — they've both had recent breakups. Kravitz split from fiancé Channing Tatum and the 'Elvis' star called it quits with Kaia Gerber. The whispers began after they were photographed filming a kissing scene. Could they have been overcome by a hunka hunka burning love? 12 The actors have been seen at parties and shows together. The Hapa Blonde / BACKGRID A source told the Sun, 'Austin and Zoe have been spending time together over the past few weeks.' And this month, Page Six reported the duo took in the show 'Violet's Room' in Hudson Yards with director Darren Aronofsky and were seen 'heading out into the night afterward.' Evidence against: Sources told TMZ Kravitz and Butler won't be 'Caught' in a relationship with each other. And back in March, Kravitz had dinner with 'To All The Boys I Loved Before' actor Noah Centineo.

Pamela Anderson Made a 'Wonderful' First Impression on Liam Neeson

THE RUNDOWN Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson were friends before they started dating, but their first impressions of each other suggest that a spark was always there. The Naked Gun co-stars appeared on SiriusXM's Radio Andy with Andy Cohen and spoke about their first meeting. Neeson began, 'Well, you know, we had never met before [filming The Naked Gun], and I remember thinking, 'Wow, she is gorgeous,' but she had this wonderful sense of silliness and just humanity about her. I don't want to blow her head up, but it was like I just felt an ease with her, you know, and we discovered a silliness with each other, which was terrific, you know?' Anderson had similar praise for Neeson, saying, 'Well, I was nervous to meet him, of course, and you're always nervous the first day on the set, and it was just easygoing and very silly, which puts you at ease and very silly, on and off.' This is far from Neeson's first time praising his new partner. During his appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert last night, he called Anderson 'great' and 'terrific.' Back in October, he spoke about being smitten with his co-star, who plays his love interest in the film. 'With Pamela, first off, I'm madly in love with her,' he told People. 'She's just terrific to work with. I can't compliment her enough, I'll be honest with you. No huge ego. She just comes in to do the work. She's funny and so easy to work with. She's going to be terrific in the film.' Anderson and Neeson recently started dating. On July 29, People broke the news, with a source telling the outlet, 'It's a budding romance in the early stages. It's sincere, and it's clear they're smitten with each other.' That same day, a source told Us Weekly, '[They] always had chemistry while they were filming, and their friendship naturally developed into more.'
