Donald Trump's Aberdeenshire golf resort ‘EVACUATED' over ‘ongoing emergency incident'
DONALD Trump's Aberdeenshire golf resort has been partially evacuated amid a possible security alert. Staff members were overheard talking about a potential suspicious device being spotted in a search zone at the golf course in Menie. 2 Cops, security staff and visitors to Trump International have been evacuated to 2 It sparked a slow evacuation with G4S staff, in charge of airport-style security at the entrance, scores of cops, and reporters and VIPs being repeatedly asked to move further away from the course. Large police vans have blocked the main road past the course in the last half hour amid rumours of a bomb squad swoop. A plain-clothed US operative with an earpiece was heard saying that a "bunch of liquid" was being examined, and that a substance was being tested in the venue. Police Scotland has been contacted for comment. It comes on as Mr Trump officially opened a new golf course at his Aberdeenshire resort, saying he would play a quick round before returning to Washington to "put out fires all over the world". The US president teed off at The New Course in Menie in front of a crowd including golfers, the Scottish First Minister and the Scottish Labour leader. Mr Trump also made reference to late James Bond actor Sir Sean Connery 's reported support for his golf resort - even attempting to recreate the actor's voice. Just before hitting the first ball at the New Course, the US president told those gathered on a grandstand: "We started with a beautiful piece of land, but we made it much more beautiful. Predator pastor who sexually assaulted woman while pretending to ‘exorcise demons' jailed for 10 years
A PREDATOR preacher who sexually assaulted a woman while pretending to 'exorcise demons' has been caged for 10 years. Cult leader Walter Masocha, 61 - called 'The Prophet' by parishioners - was also jailed for a rape bid during a six year reign of sexual terror between 2006 and 2012. At the High Court in Livingston , judge Susan Craig told Masocha, who watched on via video link from jail, that he had used his front as a preacher to 'callously exploit' his victims. She said: "You are nothing more than an opportunist sexual predator and are guilty of the grossest breach of trust. "The common denominator was the victims worshipped you, a 'prophet' who could work miracles. Advertisement "You took sexual advantage whenever you felt like doing so." He was jailed for 10 years, given a further four-year extended sentence and placed on the sex offenders register indefinitely. A 39-year-old witness said she was 20 when Masocha began sexually abusing her. She told the jury: "He would tell me, 'God said I need to look after you and has given me special love for you in particular'." Man, 36, arrested over Edinburgh ‘shooting'

A 23-year-old is alleged to have been shot twice in the arm earlier today near Hailesland Gardens in the city's Wester Hailes. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "A man has been arrested as enquiries continue into a report of a firearm being discharged in Edinburgh. "Officers were called to attend the Hailesland Gardens area around 3.40pm on Thursday, 24 July, 2025. "A 23-year-old man attended hospital for treatment to injuries sustained to his arm from the incident. No one else was injured. "Officers, including specialist firearms officers, attended and a search of the area was carried out. "A 36-year-old man has been arrested in connection and enquiries are ongoing.
