President Donald Trump announced that Israel has agreed to a 60-day ceasefire in Gaza – and warned Hamas to accept or face a 'worse' future. Trump revealed on his Truth Social platform that his representatives had a 'long and productive meeting' with Israelis in Gaza earlier on Tuesday. 'Israel has agreed to the necessary conditions to finalize the 60 Day CEASEFIRE, during which time we will work with all parties to end the War,' wrote Trump. Got a story? Trump threatens to arrest man favored to be NYC mayor and strip his citizenship
President Donald Trump has threatened to arrest a man who is the favorite to be New York City's next mayor and strip him of his US citizenship. Zohran Mamdani, 33, a democratic socialist, hours after officially winning the Democratic primary for mayor on Tuesday, defied Trump after amid a series of warnings from the Republican president. 'The President of the United States just threatened to have me arrested, stripped of my citizenship, put in a detention camp and deported,' wrote Mamdani on Instagram. 'Not because I have broken any law but because I will refuse to let ICE terrorize our city.' Got a story? Trump's New Fragrance Doesn't Smell Like Success
Early reviews are in for the US president's 'rallying cry in a bottle'—and they're not good. It also costs $249. Photograph: REMKOPeople voted for President Donald Trump, they wore his shoes, his hats, and his watches, and soon they'll be able to make calls on his phone. Yet, there is seemingly always another addition to the ways in which one can experience all that is Trump: which brings us to the latest entry to the commander-in-chief's ever-expanding fragrance collection. Victory 47 for Men promises 'rich, masculine notes with a refined finish,' without actually listing any of the ingredients or its scent profile. Helpfully, early reviews from users at fragrance forum Parfumo describe it as 'oriental-fruity', but score it at just 1.9 out of 10. Price-wise, at $249 for 3.3FL OZ, it's comparable with mainstays of blockbuster luxe lines, such as Tom Ford Noir Extreme ($240 / 3FL OZ)—but the cachet between the two is likely as far apart as Tom and Donald's politics. Fragrances might seem like an odd choice for a personal brand that prides itself on plain-talking and masculine tropes, but according to NPD Group data, celebrity fragrances in the US amounted to $148.5 million between August 2022 and 2023—a 30 percent jump on the same period the year before. And while it's not exactly memecoin money, who wouldn't want a piece of that pie when you can leave the grunt work to a third party? That upper-but-not-quite niche $249 pricing also puts Trump fragrances ahead of the more sophisticated celebrity scent sphere. At one end, names such as Jennifer Lopez and Antonio Banderas have long cluttered pharmacy shelves across the world with their lower-market-end-conquoring offers (think $25 a pop). Stars such as Ariana Grande are next on the ladder, capturing a huge market with candy-sweet bottles that go for $45-$68. Then we have our Rhiannas and Billie Eilishes in the $140 ballpark—affordable luxury. It's not The Donald's first foray into the world of celebrity stink, of course—back in the misty, pre-presidential days of 2004 we had Donald Trump The Fragrance (courtesy of mid-range powerhouse Estée Lauder), then Success by Trump in 2012, followed by Empire by Trump in 2015 (both by the parent company of Parlux, which produces Billie Eilish's fragrance line). Of course, this isn't the first time we've wondered what power actually smells like: JFK famously wore both Eight and Bob and Jockey Club during his time in office, but he wasn't licensing his name and 'likeness' to a third party churning out products that he'd likely never purchase himself. Still, the Trump brand-diffusion plan has caught the eye of fellow authoritarians. Former Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro has his own line of fragrances courtesy of Brazilian beauty brand Agustin Fernandez—though retailing in the distinctly less-premium neighborhood of R$300 (US$50). Like Melania, Michelle Bolsonaro, former First Lady of Brazil, also got in on the action with the launch of their line in 2024. Perhaps Donald will swap complimentary bottles with Jair, or maybe there's a rare flacon of the Putin-inspired Leaders Number One winging its way over from Russia? The mind—and nostrils—boggle. As with so much of the product offered on the 'GetTrump' family of websites, the imagery is a masterclass of 'actual product may vary' visualization. More Oscar statuette than bottle (let's not kid ourselves here—the Trump faithful likely aren't really buying this for the fragrance), the golden, youthful T-1000-like figure is perhaps more Eric than Donald? For the ladies' version ('Sophisticated, subtly feminine,' no clue as to what it smells of; 'chypreartig-animal' according to Parfumo), the only concession to femininity is a rose-gold hue to the lower half—you'll still get the stock, gleaming Donalderic homunculus glaring purposefully at you from the dressing table. Interestingly, the only positive noises about Victory 47 thus far have come from the Fragrantica site (the early visualizations of the bottles are a treat , BTW)—itself somewhat controversial. The site's original review for the 'Fight Fight Fight' cologne was criticized across Reddit for failing to mention any injuries or the actual fatality from the shooting in Pennsylvania, and instead cited Trump's inspiring moment of 'personal courage'. For those keeping track, in addition to 9 currently available watches (and 11 in pre-order) the current tally of under-licence merch from the GetTrump empire now includes Trump Slides, "Fight Fight Fight' High Tops (Silver) and Trump Landslide Boots. Sadly, that $5 million Gold Trump Card doesn't actually come with any credit, so Trump superfans will have to max out their regular gold cards if they're going to complete the collection.

Donald Trump launches new Victory 47 fragrance so you can smell like a 'patriot'
Would you like to smell like a man who leads with 'strength, confidence, and purpose' while celebrating resilience and success? Pump yourself with a cloud of Victory 47, then, the new perfume being hawked by Donald Trump, which also has a version for women. The extortionately priced cologne (at $249 for a 100ml bottle, it costs more than Dior Sauvage or Chanel No 5) is not even the first scent he has released since being elected. He released a bottle called 'Fight Fight Fight' in time for Christmas, which referred to his assassination attempt on the campaign trail. This 'rallying cry in a bottle' was said to be for 'Patriots Who Never Back Down'. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video An earlier version of Victory was also released in late 2024, and has now been relaunched as Victory 47 to refer to his comeback after being the 45th US president but not the 46th. The bottles come with a golden statue of the man himself, so you can have a nice little memento of him watching over from your bedside table. While Trump must be cashing in on this enough to make it worth his while, it has unsurprisingly not gone down well with political opponents who see it as a cynical move to profit from the presidency. Some pointed out that Jimmy Carter took the complete opposite approach when he took office in 1977, placing his peanut farm into trust so there could be no accusation of a conflict of interest. Trump, however, is making money from a huge array of products ranging from his golf courses and hotels to branded watches, guitars, Bibles, and cryptocurrency. In a video ad prompoting previous versions of the scents, he said: 'Get yourself a bottle and don't forget to grab one for your loved ones too. 'They'll thank you, and they'll even smell good! Enjoy, have fun, keep on winning, and Merry Christmas.' A disclaimer in tiny writing at the bottle of the page says 'Trump Fragrances are not designed, manufactured, distributed or sold by Donald J. Trump, The Trump Organization or any of their respective affiliates or principals. 45Footwear, LLC uses the Trump name, image and likeness under a license agreement which may be terminated or revoked according to its terms. ' is not political and has nothing to do with any political campaign.' But this was not enough to dissaude detractors from saying the sale of Trump fragrance was unethical. More Trending The Republicans Against Trump campaign group wrote on X: 'From crypto scams to shady real estate deals, Trump phones, and cologne. He's never stopped using the presidency to enrich himself and his family. Go ahead, MAGA. Try defending this blatant corruption.' Meanwhile, reviews of the fragrances themselves were not stellar either – though how many reviewers actually bought the perfume, rather than being there for political motivations, is up for debate. One Fragrantica review said: 'A big beautiful bouquet of dollar bills. The biggest bouquet. Nobody does bouquet like this does. They say that this is liquid gold. I didn't say that, everyone else says it, and they can't all be wrong.' Get in touch with our news team by emailing us at webnews@ For more stories like this, check our news page. Donald Trump Perfume Goes on Sale: Here's What It Smells Like
President Donald Trump has unveiled a new line of fragrances, now on sale through The products include "Fight Fight Fight" and "Victory 47" colognes for men and "Fight Fight Fight" and "Victory 47" perfumes for women. The scents, described as a "rallying cry in a bottle," are being promoted as luxury, limited-edition items built around Trump's image and legacy. The release, confirmed in a product announcement and echoed in a post by the president on his Truth Social platform, marks the latest in a series of branded merchandise offered under the Trump name. The fragrances are available for immediate purchase, with prices for the Victory 47 editions set at $249 a bottle. According to the website, the products embody themes of resilience, victory, power and confidence-with packaging that features the president's likeness and symbolic gestures, such as a raised fist or golden statue. The cologne, which the website says is for "patriots who never back down," is said to deliver "rich, robust notes." Fragrance critic reviews and user comments on the resource site Fragrantica indicate notes of cardamom, geranium, fougère accord and an overall woody, spicy and aromatic character. The sister scent is described as "empowering" on the official website, crafted for women "who embody strength and grace, like President Trump." The perfume, which comes in a white and gold bottle, "blends delicate floral notes and a burst of citrus for an elegant finish," the website says. This limited-edition cologne is framed as a collectible item commemorating Trump's "historic victory and upcoming inauguration as the 47th President." The fragrance is said to blend "rich, masculine notes with a refined, lasting finish." The scent comes in a bottle designed as a golden Trump statue. The Victory 47 perfume arrives in a rose gold statue bottle and promises to capture "confidence, beauty, and unstoppable determination." The scent is described as "sophisticated, subtly feminine." President Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social on Monday: "Trump Fragrances are here. They're called 'Victory 45-47' because they're all about Winning, Strength, and Success-for men and women. ... Enjoy, have fun, and keep winning!" Senator Mark Warner, a Democrat from Virginia, wrote on X: "Unbelievable. While his party does all-night votes to rip away health insurance from millions, Trump hawks his perfume. Bet it smells like this whole bill-garbage." Representative Brendan Boyle, a Democrat from Pennsylvania, wrote on X: "Millions of Americans are about to lose their health care thanks to Trump and his Republican puppets. And what's our President focused on? Selling his crappy perfume to further line his pockets. What an embarrassment." Newsweek has contacted the White House, via email outside working hours, for a response to these comments. The Trump fragrances are available for purchase at and ship nationwide. As with other Trump-branded ventures, the fragrance line has already raised ethical concerns for the sitting president. With the products promoted as collectibles and luxury items, further responses from supporters and critics are expected.
