Internet sensation Angry Ginge is playing for England at Soccer Aid this weekend.
The 23-year-old Twitch streamer will be joined by the likes of Jermain Defoe, Steph Houghton, Toni Duggan, Aaron Lennon, Jill Scott, Sam Quek and Sir Mo Farah. The Three lions coaching staff is made up of heavyweight boxing royalty Tyson Fury, iconic football manager Harry Redknapp, actor Vicky McClure and former goalkeeper David James. Ginge and his team-mates will be going up against a World XI, who will feature the likes of Carlos Tevez and Leonardo Bonucci.
Legendary Manchester United goalkeeper Peter Schmeichel will manage World XI against England, with the match kicking off at 7.30pm on Sunday, June 15.
The event will take place at United's iconic Old Trafford ground, with Soccer Aid revealing the stadium had officially sold out on Friday afternoon.
Historically, Soccer Aid featured celebrities and film stars from around the world. However, the growth of social media has seen a new generation of stars, originating from the internet, who have now captured a generation and been included in the line-ups. Angry Ginge undoubtedly comes under that category, being one of the most influential creators in the industry.
Here's everything you need to know about him.

Who is Angry Ginge?
Angry Ginge is a Manchester-born gaming streamer who has risen to fame in the past four years.
His YouTube channel alone has more than 800,000 subscribers, with a further 1.2million on streaming website Twitch. On Instagram, it's another 1.2million, with more than 200,000 on X, formerly Twitter, and almost two million on TikTok.
His real name is Morgan Burtwhistle, something which he revealed on a Baller League video in April. Micah Richards' reaction to the name caused the clip to go viral on social media, with the former Manchester City full-back responding hysterically.
He regularly makes jokes about his ginger hair and would also be classed as a social media influencer, with regular content across his social channels, on top of the streaming.
He started streaming properly in 2021, after being inspired by FIFA (now EAFC - football game) streamer Castro1021. In his early days, clips from his streams would regularly go viral on TikTok, with his emotional reactions to moments on FIFA.
Net worth
Multiple sources claim Angry Ginge's net worth to be more than £1million, which wouldn't be an unreasonable estimate given the success he's enjoyed in recent times.
On Twitch, subscribers can leave donations for his content, with subscriptions varying in price depending on the tier you choose.
Although none of his earnings are specifically available in the public domain, top streamers like Angry Ginge can earn hundreds of thousands per month from their fans. When you work adverts into that, the revenue from streaming increases massively.
The Salford-born influencer will earn a considerable amount of money from his big YouTube account, which has almost one million subscribers. There are further advert and sponsorship opportunities here too.
Luke Littler relationship
Angry Ginge is very good friends with darts superstar Luke Littler.
Littler, who is a perfect example of the demographic that Angry Ginge attracts, plays games with the streamer on Twitch, regularly playing EAFC's 'Pro Clubs' mode with other popular UK internet celebrities.
The pair have good chemistry, with many clips doing the rounds on social media. At the end of 2024, during a stream between the pair, Littler accidentally revealed a previously unknown love interest.

"I'm gonna try and get some sleep because I am so tired," said an unknown voice in the background of Littler's stream.
Angry Ginge immediately reacted: "Who the f*** is that? Who's that Luke? Who's that Luke? He's had a rotter there. Luke's had a rotter. Let her get to bed, Luke, come on." Littler saw the funny side and the clip went viral on social media, further adding to their friendship and chemistry.
The pair will star together on Celebrity Gogglebox on Friday night.

‘The best' – Meghan honours Harry in heartfelt Father's Day message
'The best,' she captioned her post. 'Happy Father's Day to our favorite guy.' The compilation showed photos and videos of Harry laughing, dancing and spending quality time with his children through the years. The duchess made her social media return in early 2025 and regularly shares personal milestones and professional updates through her Instagram account. Harry and Meghan have been raising their children in Montecito, California since announcing they were stepping back as working members of the royal family on January 8 2020. The couple have since been at the centre of tensions with other royals, with the duke becoming estranged from his father, the King, and his brother, the Prince of Wales. In a recent interview, Harry said he 'would love a reconciliation' with his family, claiming Charles will not speak to him and expressing concern that he does not know 'how much longer my father has'. Harry was not the only royal father to receive a Father's Day appreciation post. William's children earlier wished him a happy Father's Day in a social media post declaring: 'We love you!' Two new photographs of William and his three children, George, 11, Charlotte, 10, and Louis, seven, were released on Sunday. The first picture shows the prince and his children posing for a family picture in a garden, while in the second picture, William and the youngsters are shown wrestling playfully in the grass, with the two boys holding their father down and Charlotte laughing. Happy Father's Day, Papa (before and after!) We love you! G, C & L 💖 📸 Josh Shinner — The Prince and Princess of Wales (@KensingtonRoyal) June 15, 2025 In their post, the three children wrote: 'Happy Father's Day, Papa (before and after!) 'We love you!' The message was signed 'G, C & L' followed by a sparkly heart emoji. Kensington Palace said the photographs were taken by professional photographer Josh Shinner in Norfolk earlier this year. The King and Queen have also wished fathers around the world a happy Father's Day by posting photographs of their own fathers on the royal family's Instagram account. 'To all Dads everywhere, we wish you a happy Father's Day today,' the official account said. The post shared a photograph of the late Prince Philip playing with a young Charles and the Princess Royal on a swing. A picture of Camilla and her father Major Bruce Shand was also shared, showing the pair posing for a photograph on Camilla and Charles's wedding day on April 9 2005.

Golf fans fume at 'bizarre' ruling as JJ Spaun wins US Open
Golf fans were left scratching their heads at a 'bizarre' ruling which helped JJ Spaun win the US Open in brutal conditions at Oakmont. Spaun, 34, clinched by far the biggest win of his career as the only player to finish below par in the second major of 2025. The American needed a par on the 18th to secure the victory, with Scotland's Robert MacIntyre waiting in the wings at +1 ahead of a possible play-off. Two solid shots left Spaun with two putts for the win and he needed just one, sinking a stunning putt from 60 feet to become a Grand Slam winner. Spaun has been in impressive form this season – losing a play-off in the Player's Championship to Rory McIlroy, but he had never previously finished in the top-20 of a major. The California-born golfer even considered walking away from the sport at one stage but his perseverance resulted in one of the game's biggest trophies. But the final round of the US Open – which was interrupted by a huge downpour which suspended play for almost two hours – did not occur without a fair amount of controversy. Sam Burns had a share of the lead when he was controversially denied a drop for relief from standing water on the fairway of the 15th hole. Burns, 28, asked for relief and appeared uncomfortable as several of his practice swings brought up water that had gathered on the right-hand side of the 15th fairway. Ryder Cup legend Paul McGinley and Sky Sports on-course commentator Wayne Riley were both surprised by the 'bizarre' ruling from the official shadowing the final group. 'He's taken a practice swing and you can see splashes of water,' Riley said before his shot. 'I think he deserves a drop.' McGinley added: 'Yeah, I can't believe he's not getting a drop here. We're watching him hit practice swings here and we can see the water splashing up.' After Burns hooked his second shot into the deep rough, Riley added: 'What was about that? We all know that was going to happen. That's bizarre. The water coming up from the shot was incredible.' Rule 16.1 – Abnormal Course Conditions: Temporary Water is defined in The Rules as, 'Any temporary accumulation of water on the surface of the ground (such as puddles from rain or irrigation or an overflow from a body of water) that: Is not in a penalty area, and can be seen before or after the player takes a stance (without pressing down excessively with their feet).' You're entitled to a free drop if your ball touches or is in or on the abnormal course condition – in this case the standing or temporary water. From Golf Monthly Burns went on to make a double-bogey on the 15th and another dropped shot on the next hole saw the American finish tied-fourth on +3. The consensus from golf fans on social media appeared to be that Burns deserved a drop for relief, with some even labelling the decision a 'robbery'. After a disappointing end to a day that promised so much, Burns admitted he 'disagreed' with both the officials' initial ruling and their decision not to allow for a 'second opinion'. 'When I walked into it, clearly you could see water coming up,' he said. 'I took practice swings and it's just water splashing every single time. 'Called a rules official over, they disagreed. I looked at it again. I thought maybe I should get a second opinion. That rules official also disagreed. 'At the end of the day, it's not up to me, it's up to the rules official. That's kind of that. 'From that point, Travis and I said, Look let's focus on the shot, try to execute. I did the best I could. I was 100 percent locked in on what I was trying to do. 'Ultimately, it felt like the water just kind of got in the way, and I went left. It is what it is.' Spaun recovered from a dismal front-nine to win the US Open by two shots. 'I don't think I did keep my composure (after unfortunate start) honestly with all the breaks I was getting,' he said after lifting the trophy. 'I was trying to just dig deep, hit some good shots coming in. The weather delay we had kind of changed the whole vibe for the day. 'A similar thing happened to me at the Players and I kind of leaned on that whole experience. I came back and kept pushing and bounced back and fought really hard on the back nine. More Trending 'I thought it [the winning putt] was a little short but it was right on the line. It was looking really good and it was one of those moments in major championships where that's kind of what happens to seal the deal and I'm fortunate it was my time.' With JJ Spaun seeing off MacIntyre, Europe Ryder Cup star Victor Hovland finishing third ahead of Cameron Young, Carlos Ortiz and England's Tyrrell Hatton, who all finished on +3. World number one Scottie Scheffler battled to a seventh-place finish ahead of Jon Rahm and former Masters winner Adam Scott, whose final-day 79 saw him drop down the leaderboard.
