Coolie, featuring megastar Rajnikanth, has been generating significant buzz on social media ever since its announcement. Helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film is scheduled to hit the big screens on August 14. As the excitement among the fans is at its all-time high, the makers have now unveiled the third single from Coolie, titled Powerhouse.
About Powerhouse
Renowned musician Anirudh Ravichander has composed Coolie's third single, Powerhouse, which he also crooned alongside rapper Arivu. One of the key highlights of the track is that it features a Breaking Bad reference, including the iconic dialogue, 'Say My Name… You're Goddamn Right" by Heisenberg (Walter White).
The 3-minute and 28-second musical video showcases several intense action sequences wherein Rajinikanth fights with his rivals one by one. Unlike earlier tracks, Chikitu and Monica, the music has a few enticing visuals from the film and has several goosebumps-worthy moments.

The track was unveiled at a grand song launch event in Hyderabad in the presence of director Lokesh Kanagaraj and Anirudh Ravichander.
About Coolie
Apart from Rajinikanth, the Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial also featured an ensemble cast including Shruti Haasan, Nagarjuna, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, Sathyaraj, Reba Monica John, Junior MGR, Monisha Blessy and Kaali Venkat in significant roles.
Coolie reportedly explores the story of Deva, an ageing gangster, who attempts to revive his old empire by using stolen technology hidden in antique gold watches to reunite his former crew. The film delves into the complexities of Deva's past, his desire for redemption and the potential chaos that arises when he tries to reclaim his past glory.
The film is said to be a standalone project and not part of Lokesh's popular Lokesh Cinematic Universe (Kaithi, Vikram, Leo).
Rajinikanth's Coolie will face a big box office clash with Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR's upcoming action thriller War 2. While Coolie will likely dominate in the Tamil market, War 2 is expected to rule the Hindi and Telugu circuits due to Jr NTR's large fan base.

Besides this, Rajinikanth also has Jailer 2 in his kitty. The film is a sequel to the 2023 blockbuster Jailer, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. It is expected to arrive by late 2025 or early 2026.
