Former Ohio State RB Quinshon Judkins posts bond after domestic violence arrest
Judkins was being held at the Broward County Main Jail until 3:45 p.m. July 13, when he posted a $2,500 bond, the Akron Beacon Journal reported.
Judkins, 21, was arrested the morning of July 12 after Fort Lauderdale police officers responded to a report of a "delayed battery," according to a police statement.
Officers interviewed the accuser at the scene and determined a battery had occurred, police said. Police took Judkins into custody.
He is charged with a first-degree misdemeanor domestic battery charge, according to the police statement. If convicted, he faces up to a year in prison and a $1,000 fine.
The Browns are "aware and gathering information" on Judkins' arrest, according to a statement provided to the Beacon Journal. Browns rookies are scheduled to report for training camp July 18, and the veterans report July 22.
Judkins was picked up by the Browns in the second round of the NFL draft in April. He moved to the NFL after playing for the Buckeyes in the 2024-25 championship-winning season, when he ran for 1,060 yards and scored 14 rushing touchdowns and two receiving touchdowns.
He scored two rushing touchdowns and one receiving touchdown during OSU's championship win over Notre Dame.
Before transferring to Ohio State, Judkins played for Ole Miss for two seasons. He was named the SEC Freshman of the Year for his performance in the 2022-23 season.
Akron Beacon Journal reporter Chris Easterling contributed to this report.

2025 NFL preseason: How to watch the Cleveland Browns vs. Philadelphia Eagles game today
Quarterback Shedeur Sanders helped the Cleveland Browns earn their first preseason victory against the Caroline Panthers last week, but he's still proving himself to the team and as a result, he's been placed at No. 4 on the Browns' depth chart for week two. What TV channel is Browns vs. Eagles on today? Time, TV schedule for NFL preseason game
After a 30-10 win over the Carolina Panthers in their first preseason game of the 2025 season, the Cleveland Browns now travel to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles in Week 2. This game comes on the heels of two days of joint practices between the Browns and Eagles, in sessions that were described as spirited and competitive. This is what you want to hear if you're a Browns fan, as they went toe-to-toe with the defending Super Bowl champs in two live practices where the starters saw all of the reps. The same will not be said about the game today. Do not expect many of the starters, including quarterback Joe Flacco, to see the field at all as the Browns continue to evaluate the younger players and the bottom of the depth chart guys on the roster. After all, the Browns are just two weeks away from cutting 37 players from their 90-man roster. That doesn't mean, however, that the game is not worth watching at all! Here's where to watch the Browns vs. Eagles in Week 2 of the NFL preseason. Stream Browns vs. Eagles (free trial) What TV channel is Browns vs. Eagles Week 2 preseason game on today? The Browns and Eagles play today in Week 2 of the 2025 NFL preseason. It's expected that third round rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel will start if his hamstring clears a pre-game test, but once again, expect Tyler Huntley to get a bulk of the reps as both Kenny Pickett and Shedeur Sanders are sidelined with injuries. Streaming options for the game include Sling TV, NFL+, and Fubo, which offers a free trial. Browns vs. Eagles start time Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where the Browns will be the away team. These preseason games usually run quickly, so there will be no need to hold your dinner plans. This will be a big opportunity for Dillon Gabriel and the rest of the Browns' younger players to make an impact. Browns tickets Looking to buy Cleveland Browns tickets? We've got you covered. There's a New No. 1 Team in College Football After Latest Poll Released
There's a New No. 1 Team in College Football After Latest Poll Released originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The college football season is weeks away from kicking off, and on Monday, the AP Poll officially released its preseason rankings. Although the now-defending champion Ohio State Buckeyes finished the 2024 season as the No. 1 team, they have already been bumped from the top spot. As revealed in the latest AP Poll rankings, which have been taking place since 1936, the 60 journalists who vote to decide the rankings ended up bumping the Buckeyes to the No. 3 team in the country. This paved the way for a team that Ohio State actually beat last season to supplant them from being the best team in college football. AP Poll Announces New No. 1 College Football Team Although the Buckeyes got the best of them in their College Football Playoff Semifinal matchup, the Texas Longhorns were tabbed as college football's newest No. 1 team. The Longhorns narrowly edged out Penn State in what the AP reported was the closest vote since 1998. In addition to being atop the AP Poll, the Longhorns were also tabbed as the No. 1 team in the Coaches Poll this past week. Why Texas is the No. 1 Team in College Football Despite having a program record 12 players drafted during the 2025 NFL Draft, the Longhorns have been stockpiling on talent over the past few years. Not only is former No. 1 overall recruit, Arch Manning, taking over at quarterback, but he is also joined by a roster flooded with blue-chip recruits. The Longhorns have had a top-six class in each of the past four years, with the 2025 class coming in as the No. 1 class in the country. 2025: No. 1 Class 2024: No. 6 Class 2023: No. 3 Class 2022: No. 5 Class The Longhorns are also coming off back-to-back College Football Playoff appearances, making it to the semifinal round in each of the past two seasons. They also have the luxury of returning 61% of their production on defense from a season ago, indicating they have a chance to field yet another dominant unit. While it'll come down to more than just one player, many believed Manning could have led them to a title last season instead of Ewers, but now that he is at the helm, he will have the chance to do just that. Why Ohio State Isn't the No. 1 Team in College Football Similar to Texas, the Buckeyes sent a ton of players to the NFL, tying a program record with 14. However, while Ohio State ranks higher in returning production at No. 101 to Texas' 103, the biggest question surrounding the Buckeyes is their quarterback situation. With Will Howard off to the NFL, Ryan Day is choosing between redshirt freshman Julian Sayin and redshirt sophomore Lincoln Kienholz. Unlike Manning who started two games and also had a significant role down the stretch for Texas, neither Sayin and Kienholz played any critical snaps last season. Kienholz hasn't attempted a pass since 2023, while Sayin attempted just 12 in mop-up duty last season. Week 1 Clash Between Texas and Ohio State The No. 1 Longhorns will have to defend their ranking quickly into the season as they'll head to Columbus to take on the Buckeyes in Week 1. Both ESPN's "College GameDay," and Fox's "Big Noon Kickoff" will be in attendance for the No. 1 vs. No. 3 matchup. The game itself will kick off at 12:00 p.m. ET and air on story was originally reported by Athlon Sports on Aug 11, 2025, where it first appeared.
