In an emergency press conference held at the Lahore Press Club, Punjab's Minister for Minority Affairs and Chairman of the Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee, Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora, strongly condemned an alleged Indian drone strike on the sacred site of Nankana Sahib.
Terming it a blatant violation of international law, religious freedom, and human rights, Arora demanded immediate international attention to what he described as a provocative act.
The press conference was attended by Lahore Press Club President Arshad Ansari and prominent Sikh figures including Sardar Bishan Singh, Satwant Kaur, Sardar Jaskaran Singh, and Kalyan Singh Kalyan.
Arora accused India of deliberately targeting mosques, religious sites, and minority communities as part of a broader conspiracy to malign Pakistan's peaceful image on the global stage.
He dismissed the recent Pahalgam incident as a "fabricated and orchestrated drama" aimed at misleading the international community by falsely implicating Pakistan.
Highlighting the longstanding bond between Pakistan and the Sikh community, Arora said that Sikh pilgrims from around the world who visited Pakistan during the recent Baisakhi festival had praised the country's hospitality and religious tolerance.
He further stated that India was attempting to incite hatred between Muslim and Sikh communities and engaging in psychological warfare against Pakistan.
He categorically rejected Indian allegations regarding attacks on Amritsar and the Golden Temple, calling them baseless and misleading. 'Pakistan holds deep respect for the religious sentiments of its Sikh brothers and would never consider such actions,' Arora affirmed.
The minister reiterated that religious minorities in Pakistan enjoy complete freedom of worship, and that the state treats all faiths and communities with equal dignity and respect.
He urged the United Nations and international human rights organizations to take urgent notice of India's aggression and its campaign of hate against minorities.
Speaking at the event, Lahore Press Club President Arshad Ansari criticized the Indian media for spreading venom and reaffirmed the Pakistani media's support for the state and armed forces. He added that the doors of the Lahore Press Club remain open to all religious minorities, especially the Sikh community.
Sikh leaders present at the conference echoed Arora's concerns and asserted that Pakistan is a peaceful nation committed to the protection of minorities and interfaith harmony.
They pledged full support to the Pakistani armed forces and warned that any act of Indian aggression would be met with a strong response.

"By unilaterally suspending the IWT, India has set a dangerous precedent with implications for regional peace and security," he warned. He added that Pakistan wanted the international community to play its role in facilitating dialogue between Pakistan and India. "We are ready to talk to India on Jammu and Kashmir, IWT, and terrorism," Bilawal pointed out. He also said Pakistan is a victim of terrorism; from the political leadership to the military to Pakistani citizens, we have all been affected by terrorism. "While India committed naked and blatant acts of aggression by violating the international border, Pakistan acted in self-defence," he said. The delegation's US engagements on Tuesday included meetings with US lawmakers, think tanks, and media representatives. A meeting of the Pakistani delegation with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio is also on the cards. The visits of the delegations aim at projecting Pakistan's perspective on the recent Indian aggression. The Foreign Office said that they would engage in a series of meetings with the leadership of international bodies, public office holders, officials, parliamentarians, think tanks, media, and diaspora. "The delegations will highlight Pakistan's responsible and restrained conduct, seeking peace with responsibility, in the face of India's reckless and belligerent actions. They will also highlight that dialogue and diplomacy should take precedence over conflict and confrontation," the Foreign Office said. "The delegations will underscore the imperative for the international community to play its due role in promoting a lasting peace in South Asia. The need for immediate resumption of the normal functioning of the Indus Waters Treaty will also be a key theme of the delegations' outreach." Meanwhile, responding to media queries concerning a flurry of antagonistic statements made by the Indian leaders as well as remarks made by the Indian external affairs ministry spokesperson, the Foreign Office spokesperson said that facts could not be obscured by hollow narratives. The Indian leadership's recent remarks, including those made in Bihar, reflected a deeply troubling mindset that prioritised hostility over peace, the spokesperson stated. "Any attempt to portray Pakistan as the source of regional instability is divorced from reality," he added. According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, the international community was well aware of India's record of aggressive behaviour, including documented support for terrorist activities within Pakistan. "These facts cannot be obscured by hollow narratives or diversionary tactics." The spokesperson stated that the Jammu and Kashmir dispute remained the core issue and Pakistan would continue to stand firm in advocating for a just and lasting resolution to the dispute in line with the relevant UN Security Council resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people. "To sidestep this fundamental issue is to condemn the region to continued mistrust and potential confrontation," he said. "The developments of recent weeks have once again underscored the utter futility of jingoism and coercion," the spokesperson said. 10-year old rape victim dies in India due to alleged hospital delay
The death of a 10-year-old rape victim in Bihar has triggered national outrage in India, with allegations of medical negligence intensifying political and public scrutiny ahead of upcoming state elections. The girl, from the marginalised Dalit community, died at Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) on Sunday morning. Her uncle alleged she was forced to wait inside an ambulance for nearly four hours on Saturday before being admitted—claims denied by hospital authorities. Officials at PMCH, Bihar's oldest government medical institution, described the allegations as 'baseless,' stating the child was brought in on an Advanced Life Support ambulance and appropriately referred between departments due to the nature of her injuries. The girl had initially been taken to a local hospital after being found with knife wounds near her aunt's home in Muzaffarpur, where she was allegedly raped on 26 May by a local man, now under arrest.
