Love Island: The real reason Tommy and Lucy split following his shocking admission on TikTok Live
During tonight's Love Island live stream ahead of the grand season finale, Tommy was interviewed alongside Giorgio by Aftersun presenters Indiyah Polack and Amy Hart.
In the interview Tommy was asked what his relationship status is now, to which he clarified he and Lucy are "just friends". Indiyah then asked him what happened and Amy asked him if he had "snogged someone from TOWIE?"
Tommy then bashfully responded: "Yeah, but I had many drinks. I had a lot of drinks. I'll be honest it was not Lucy's fault at all. It was my fault, I went out, couldn't hack my drink and I misbehaved. But I only kissed someone. I say 'only', it's disrespectful I know."
He then continued to say the pair are now friends and he apologised to Lucy.
His confession comes after Lucy and her Love Island bestie Lauren called Tommy out during a social media live.
During the Live, Lauren said many people were asking Lucy if she was still with Tommy, to which Lauren revealed they're no longer together, because "he couldn't behave himself."
Lucy and Tommy met during Casa Amor of this season's Love Island. Tommy was originally paired up with Emily before heading into Casa Amor. However, after meeting Lucy he quickly fell head over heels and decided to bring Lucy back to the main Villa. This meant Emily, who chose to not recouple with anyone, was left single and dumped from the Villa.
A few episodes later Tommy and Lucy were also dumped from the Villa.
As the pair left the show it was revealed Lucy had sent a voice note to a friend before she entered the Villa in which she shared her 'game plan' to partner up with Tommy.
In the voice note Lucy was heard saying: "I've got a phone call today by the way, saying they [Love Island] want to fly me out on Tuesday or Monday. So they said to me on Sunday they'll let me know for 100 percent, but looks like I'm f**king going on one of those days. So they were like, get your stuff packed basically.
"I was like, 'I'm already packed love'. They asked me for my top three boys. And told them, I said, 'Tommy, I want Tommy.' I feel like if I'm with Tommy I feel like I'll get all the way to the end.
"Because everyone loves him. I don't know if you've been watching it but that Megan's being sent home and I'm f**king made up.
"And she's being sent home because of the way she's treated Tommy. And do you know what, I'm made up that I've been watching it because I know how to act. Because she's being a f**king little slapper in there. The public have voted her out. So I just need to be left a nice girl and just f**king stick with Tommy."
Lucy then appeared on Aftersun alongside Tommy where she confessed to sending the message but went onto clarify what she meant by the "end", going onto say: "I did say till the end, but it weren't the final, I meant the end... I would like to be with him in the future. Someone with really good morals and also before going on the show, my dad did say to me he's the kind of boy he'd like me to bring home because he's very respectful." She also apologised for her words towards Megan.
Tommy was seen to be supportive of her on the show and said he understood how it could happen. However, since then the pair have now split and are both single.

Earlier this week it was revealed Ben and Andrada had split after pictures emerged of Ben holding hands with TOWIE star Dani Imbert at the event Ben had attended with Tommy. The pair were said to be very intimate during the evening, with a source telling The Sun: "There was instant attraction from the moment they met - they spent two hours kissing at the party it was all very intimate. It's clearly very much over with Andrada as Dani seemed to be the only thing on his mind." Given Ben's closeness to Dani, it's likely she is the same woman Tommy kissed at the event. After eight weeks of coupling up, mugging off, head turning and moving mad, Love Island came to an end for season 12 with the winning couple finally revealed. Finalists Shakira and Harry, Yasmin and Jamie, Angel and Ty, and Toni and Cach went head-to-head in one last bid to win the £50,000 prize - and, of course, the hearts of the public.
