3 fall 2025 shoe trends you can already wear

The line-up of fall/winter 2025 shoe trends reads like a wish list of wardrobe classics. A fresh batch of fashion trainers had the front row craning their necks at the runway shows, including styles presented by Miuccia Prada, who has become a master purveyor of excellent off-duty footwear. Together with Raf Simons, Ms. Prada complemented paper bag-waistband skirts with leather trainers, complete with intentionally-distressed details like scuffs and raw edges. At Miu Miu, meanwhile, the final product was quite the opposite: smooth leather trainers, realised in retro silhouettes, with intricately-stitched accents and buckles.
In today's comfort-driven age, these Miu Mius could fall into the 'smart shoe' category, but for those with a penchant for more trad takes, an array of lace-ups also featured on the runways—Victoria Beckham, Rabanne and McQueen were but a few brands that demonstrated easy-to-achieve polish. Willing to embrace a heel? Knife-edged styles courtesy of Saint Laurent, gathered satin pumps at Dries Van Noten and pointed takes at Tom Ford will satiate a stiletto appetite.

Lara Stone on breaking every rule and shaping fashion's unfiltered vision of beauty

To speak of Lara Stone is to reflect on a career that has always resisted neat categorisation. Since her emergence in the early noughties, the Dutch supermodel has embodied an unfiltered vision of beauty, one that sidesteps traditional glamour in favour of an It factor far more covetable, undeniably striking and yet softened by an undercurrent of authenticity. Over the years, this quietly radical stance has allowed her to shape the sartorial zeitgeist, leaving her mark on countless fashion and runway moments. The Dutch supermodel reclaims her space this season, returning to the spotlight with her signature offbeat charm. Camilla Åkrans It takes a rare kind of force to debut at an haute couture show and that is precisely what she did, gracing Riccardo Tisci's 2006 runway with razor-sharp cheekbones, puckered lips, feather-light hair and an era-defining smile. It is, after all, that very quality which earned her the moniker of 'anti-model'. Soon after, Stone ascended to even greater heights, securing a first-of-its-kind contract with Calvin Klein. With it, she propelled not only a defining aesthetic of her time, but ironically, an equally powerful message: the strength of unapologetically being oneself. Versace dress; Cartier ring; Falke tights; bow, stylist's own. Camilla Åkrans Now, in fall/winter 2025, as the fashion world stands at a precipice—caught between reckoning and renewal, with a sharp shift in creative direction looming—the energy of the season still resounds. 'There has been a lot of musical chairs in fashion lately. I'm excited to see what comes out of all that change,' notes Stone. Prada Montone Cashmere coat and bow. Camilla Åkrans It pulses through punchy hourglass silhouettes, oversized pearls and deliciously plush faux furs. Stone's presence hums in harmony with that rhythm, returning once more to the couture runways in a jaw-dropping Elie Saab creation just this July. 'He's such an icon and makes everybody look incredible. It's fun to dress up like that every once in a while,' she shares, in true model-to-muse fashion. And after all these years, what draws Stone to her projects? The company she keeps. 'For me, it's all about having a nice day at work with people I trust and enjoy being around,' she says. Prada shirt, skirt, bow and bag. Camilla Åkrans Lately, that's meant bringing shoots to life alongside industry powerhouses like Nick Knight and Carine Roitfeld. The latter is whom she names without hesitation when asked whose wardrobe she'd most like to raid. Her most defining role of late, however, has been that of mother to her two children. 'I've always found juggling parenthood with work and travel really difficult,' she says, offering a rare glimpse into the challenges behind the spotlight. Amid the sharp edges of her fashion life, she recently stepped away to travel with her family through Mexico and Belize. 'It feels really good to be on an adventure again,' she shares. Prada dress, shoes and bow. Camilla Åkrans As with all fashion luminaries, the truly cool ones at least, Stone is in no rush to plan her next move. 'It's the little things, like running through the park and seeing the absolute joy on my kid's face. Moments like that remind me to slowdown, live in the present and find beauty in the simple things.' Loewe dress; Alaïa shoes; bow, stylist's own. Camilla Åkrans In the meantime, she plays the part of observer, quietly noting the changes as they come. It is perhaps most succinctly captured in the answer she gives when asked what fabric might reflect her soul. 'Maybe a cosy cashmere.' And it couldn't be more fitting. Soft, relaxed, yet cuttingly glamorous in its own way, it is a perfect reflection of Stone in her entirety. Vogue's guide to choosing your perfect pair of glasses

@ When it comes to eyewear, sunglasses always get to have the fun. With myriad styles designed for almost every occasion—whether oversized and glamorous, or sporty and tinted—the styles lean heavily toward aesthetics. It's easy to treat them as fashion candy: try on a few pairs, pick the one that vibes with your outfit, and call it a day. Glasses, though? That's a whole other level of commitment. The frame shape, material, colour, even the lens—where do you even start? It's no wonder the process can feel a little daunting. But here's the thing: it doesn't have to be stressful. Especially now, with more people buying glasses purely for the look (yes, even without prescriptions) and pop culture proving their style power—just think of Jonathan Bailey's recent glasses moment that had the internet buzzing, glasses can be stylish too, and fun. To help us navigate this maze through the art (and science) of choosing the right pair, we spoke to Shamus Hwang, Head Designer of homegrown eyewear brand O+—a brand born from nearly 50 years of multigenerational expertise spanning retail, wholesale and manufacturing. With O+, design is never just about aesthetics. 'Each pair is created not only for character and personality, but also for lifestyle and eyecare needs,' Hwang explains. 'We design eyewear not just focusing on how it looks, but also how it feels on your face.' Together with his advice, we broke down the intimidating process into a guided, step-by-step journey, with our own curated picks to make your search a little easier (and a lot more chic). Here's his expert framework for choosing the perfect pair of glasses, with our curated edit of styles to help you along the way. Courtesy of O+ 1 / 22 Choosing the right shape Most people start with face shape—and yes, the classic rules still apply. 'Rounder frames tend to complement angular faces, and angular frames can balance softer features,' says Hwang. But he also reminds us not to be overly rigid: 'From our experience, the frame that looks best is one that the wearer feels most confident in. A frame should be an extension or expression of who you are.' Courtesy of O+ 2 / 22 For angular faces: O+ Camden glasses, $249 Available at O+. Courtesy of Raito 3 / 22 For angular faces: Raito Taishi glasses, $107 Available at Raito. @taylorwithrespect_official 4 / 22 For softer features: Taylor With Respect glasses, price upon request Available at Jamco Optical. Courtesy of Miu Miu 5 / 22 For softer features: Miu Miu glasses, $655 Available at Miu Miu. Courtesy of O+ 6 / 22 Pick your hue Colour plays a huge role in whether your glasses blend or stand out. Contrasting tones make frames pop, while neutral shades melt into your face. Hwang shares: 'Choose contrasting tones for the frame to stand out and neutral hues for a more casual look.' Courtesy of Yellows Plus 7 / 22 Neutral classic: Yellows Plus, price upon request Available at Yellows Plus. Courtesy of Dita 8 / 22 Everyday contrast: Dita glasses, $835 Available at Dita. Courtesy of Mykita 9 / 22 Pop of colour: Mykita Farah glasses, price upon request Available at Mykita. Courtesy of O+ 10 / 22 Select the material: The material determines how your glasses feel hour by hour. Titanium is light and sleek but needs design tweaks to stay comfortable. 'A titanium frame is designed to be ultra lightweight,' Hwang explains, 'but there needs to be sufficient grip so pressure isn't concentrated on the nose. We thicken the beta-titanium at the temples, which balances the weight, and finish with rounded acetate tips for comfort.' Acetate, meanwhile, tends to feel sturdier and more expressive, often favoured for fashion-forward or oversized designs. Courtesy of Lindberg 11 / 22 The featherweight: Lindberg glasses, price upon request Available at Lindberg. Courtesy of Japonism 12 / 22 Hybrid nation: Japonism glasses, price upon request Available at Japonism. Courtesy of O+ 13 / 22 Hybrid nation: O+ Allister glasses, $299 Available at O+. Courtesy of Farfetch 14 / 22 Chunky cool: Etro glasses, $240 Available at Farfetch. Courtesy of O+ 15 / 22 Choosing the type of lenses Frames may set the style, but lenses shape the experience. And here, customisation is everything. 'There are lenses that best fit every need and occasion,' Hwang explains. 'Tinted lenses for outdoors, transitions that shift with the light, digital lenses that reduce strain, driving lenses that cut glare, all of these can be tailored to your lifestyle.' He notes even age and pupil size matter when it comes to getting the most out of your lenses. ' Another thing to note is that all tinted lenses can also carry your prescription, which is perfect for people who prefer not to wear contacts all the time, but still want to use sunglasses.' Courtesy of Louis Vuitton 16 / 22 Screen-heavy days: Louis Vuitton anti-blue light glasses, $790 Available at Louis Vuitton. Courtesy of O+ 17 / 22 Outdoor weekends: O+ glasses, $279 Available at O+. Courtesy of Persol 18 / 22 On-the-go lifestyle: Persol transition glasses, price upon request Available at Persol. Courtesy of O+ 19 / 22 The more, the merrier Your 'perfect pair' may actually be a perfect rotation . Hwang suggests building an eyewear wardrobe the way you would shoes or bags. 'Even if you only like one eyeshape, you could have it in different colours with different lens options. That way your eyewear blends seamlessly into different parts of your life.' Courtesy of Gucci 20 / 22 Structured chic: Gucci glasses, $515 Available at Gucci. Courtesy of O+ 21 / 22 Keeping it professional: O+ Fletcher, $249 Available at O+.
