Cardinals to wear NFL Rivalries jersey on TNF vs. Seahawks

USA Today25-07-2025
The Seattle Seahawks swept the Arizona Cardinals last season. The Seahawks defeated their NFC West rival 16-6 in Week 12, and embarrassed them again, 30-18 in Week 14. Naturally, the Cardinals need a change-up to motivate them this coming campaign.
The Seahawks' first matchup with the Cardinals in 2025 is scheduled for Thursday Night Football (TNF) in Week 4 at State Farm Stadium in Arizona. The Cardinals just took to social media to announce they'll be wearing their NFL Rivalries uniform for that contest.
The new-look uniform will be revealed on Aug. 28. Joining a first wave of teams from the AFC East and the NFC West, the Cardinals' special attire is expected to feature a nod to the team's origins and the region it represents.
Together, Nike and the NFL, announced the Rivalries program on April 25, during the NFL draft weekend. The idea is to drive fan engagement by celebrating storied traditions and uniting communities with unique and elevated product designs, per the league itself. Specially designed Nike uniforms and fan gear will drive the Rivalries program over the next four seasons.

35 days till the Arizona Cardinals' 2025 season opener: Who has worn No. 35?

With 35 days till the Cardinals open the season against the Saints, we look at the players who have worn No. 35. We are counting down to the start of the 2025 regular season for the Arizona Cardinals, and we are exactly five weeks away. They will open the season on the road against the New Orleans Saints on Sept. 7. That is 35 days away. As we count down the remaining days of the offseason, let's look at who has worn that number uniform over the years for the Cardinals. Who has worn No. 35? Cardinals players to wear No. 35 Cornerback Ekow Boye-Doe, a long shot to make the final roster, is the Cardinals' current No. 35. Otis was a solid running back for the Cardinals, but this is an easy choice for the best No. 35, and that is Williams, a Hall of Famer. He got a championship with the Rams after leaving Arizona, but he was the best cornerback of the 90s not named Deion Sanders, and had he not played for a bad Cardinals team, he might have been seen as Sanders' equal. Cardinals RB James Conner likes to get downhill, not dance around

James Conner doesn't need fancy footwork to leave his footprints Arizona Cardinals running back James Conner finished the 2024 NFL season with 236 carries, 14th in the league, but he ranked No. 11 with a career-high 1,094 rushing yards and scored eight rushing touchdowns for the beloved Cardinals franchise. Whether offensive coordinator Drew Petzing prioritizes the run or makes the pass game primary, Conner will continue to train to be the endurance-built physical runner he has been heading into his ninth NFL season. Conner's play style doesn't make for the most astonishing of highlights, but defensive coordinators know they must account for him and his tenacious downhill running style. Conner could potentially be even more impactful if he begins avoiding attrition. Petzing can accomplish this by optimizing a dual-threat rushing attack, allowing second-year running back Trey Benson to be more involved. With eight touchdowns last season, Conner has shown his power and determination in the red zone and short-yardage situations. Petzing should note this and frequently defer to Conner when the Cardinals have red-zone opportunities. Rather than do all sorts of lateral dancing, Petzing can count on Conner to head north and south when his number is called in the offense and work as a feasible pass blocker when the team chooses to air it out. Ultimately, the Cardinals will want to continue using Conner in increments to keep the defense honest. If Petzing can mainatin a balanced attack through 2025, the Cardinals offense will be very difficult to defend.
