28 Killed in Two Armed Attacks Northern Nigeria
Twenty-eight people were killed in two separate attacks carried out by militants in northern Nigeria, according to Nigerian military sources.
Colonel Olaniu Osoba, spokesman for the multinational military coalition, explained on Friday that an armed group attacked a camp for internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the town of Malam Fatori, on the border with Niger, killing at least 11 people before Nigerian forces were able to regain control of the area.
The militants used pickup trucks mounted with machine guns in their attack and stormed a camp housing thousands of displaced people in the town, before setting fire to the local hospital and several government buildings.
In a separate incident in Sokoto State, northwest Nigeria, an armed group attacked the village of Kwalajia as residents were preparing for afternoon prayers, killing 17 people, most of them farmers. Northern Nigeria has been experiencing security instability for more than a decade, due to the escalation of armed groups operating in forests and remote areas.
Nigerian authorities are intensifying military campaigns in these areas to contain threats that have resulted in the deaths of more than 40,000 people and the displacement of approximately two million since 2009, according to United Nations estimates.

Palestinian Factions: Our people demand unconditional international recognition of their independent state & inalienable rights
Gaza – Saba: The Palestinian factions affirmed on Thursday that "resistance will not cease until the occupation ends and the Palestinian people achieve their goals of liberation, the return of refugees, and the establishment of their fully sovereign independent state with Al-Quds as its capital, as the resistance's arms are fundamentally tied to this just national project." They stated that they had closely followed the proceedings of the recent high-level international conference at the United Nations in New York. The factions noted that the conference came at a critical and sensitive juncture in their people's history, as the Zionist occupation continues its genocidal war against Palestinians in Gaza, carrying out one of the most horrific starvation campaigns in human history—all while the International Criminal Court demands accountability for its leaders amid global silence. The factions welcomed the conference's emphasis on the Palestinian people's right to a fully sovereign independent state. In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), they saluted the "legendary steadfastness of the Palestinian people in Gaza, who endure one of the most brutal wars of the modern era with patience and resilience." They declared that "this great steadfastness in the face of the killing and destruction machine has been the cornerstone in thwarting the aggression's objectives," reinforcing their people's right to life and resistance. The factions praised "the heroic role of the resistance in defending our people and upholding their national will amid an uneven war and catastrophic humanitarian conditions." They affirmed that "any international efforts to support the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights are appreciated and welcomed, as they are a natural outcome of 77 years of sacrifices since the Nakba and a direct result of the growing global solidarity with our people, which has increased pressure on the international community." "Our people demand unconditional international recognition of their independent state and their fixed national rights as a political entitlement and historical justice that cannot be negotiated or delayed," the statement read. The factions stressed that "the path to a solution begins with halting this fascist aggression, ending the genocide and systematic starvation policies imposed by the occupation forces." They reiterated that "the Palestinian resistance is ready to resolve the prisoner issue as part of a ceasefire agreement, provided there is a full withdrawal of occupation forces from Gaza, the opening of crossings, and immediate reconstruction." They emphasized the need for "a serious political process under international and Arab sponsorship to end the occupation and achieve our people's aspirations for a fully sovereign state with Al-Quds as its capital." "Stopping the genocide and starvation in Gaza is a moral and humanitarian duty that cannot be delayed or bargained over," they asserted, adding that "our people's right to life must not be held hostage to political negotiations." The factions condemned the "Zionist occupation as the primary source of terrorism and instability in the region," stating that its "genocide and deliberate starvation in Gaza reaffirm its criminal nature." They argued that "Palestinian resistance in all its forms is a legitimate and natural response to this occupation, a right enshrined in international law and divine justice, and affirmed by global institutions that have witnessed the crimes against our people." "This resistance will only end with the occupation's demise, the realization of our people's liberation, the return of refugees, and the establishment of a sovereign state with Al-Quds as its capital," they declared. The factions also addressed internal Palestinian affairs, calling for the implementation of previous national agreements signed in Cairo, Algiers, Moscow, and Beijing to reunify the Palestinian political landscape. This includes reforming the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) to strengthen its legal , representative status , holding presidential, legislative, and National Council elections at home and abroad based on democratic principles without preconditions. They affirmed that "the day after the Zionist aggression ends must be a day of Palestinian unity, where all national, political, and popular forces work together in reconstruction efforts to restore our national cohesion and honor our people's sacrifices." The statement rejected any notion of "integrating the Zionist entity into the region as a reward for its crimes," describing it as a "desperate attempt to prolong its existence on stolen land." They argued that recent events, especially in recent months, have proven that this entity is a "primary source of instability, evil, and terrorism, not just in our region but globally." The factions concluded by affirming that "the Palestinian people, like all nations under occupation, will achieve freedom and independence, no matter how long it takes or how great the challenges, relying on the justice of their cause, the resilience of their people, and the support of freedom-loving people worldwide in their legitimate struggle for liberation, return, and independence." The statement was issued by: - Palestinian Islamic Jihad - Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) - Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) - PFLP-General Command - Popular Resistance Forces (Al-Sa'iqa) J.A Whatsapp Telegram Email Print more of (International)

Palestinian Media Forum: Israeli enemy deliberately blocks media coverage to conceal its crimes in Gaza
Gaza – Saba: Mohammed Yasin, Director of the Palestinian Media Forum, criticized on Wednesday the practices of the Israeli enemy, describing them as a systematic attempt to cover up the crimes committed in the Gaza Strip by restricting press freedom and preventing media outlets from reporting the truth about the ongoing destruction and humanitarian suffering. In a statement to the Palestinian news agency "Saba," Yasin said this policy represents a "double crime," as the Israeli enemy not only commits violations against civilians but also seeks to obscure the truth and prevent the world from seeing the scale of the humanitarian catastrophe. Yasin emphasized that press freedom is a right guaranteed under international law, including the Geneva Conventions, which explicitly protect journalists during armed conflicts. He stressed that restricting this right constitutes a blatant violation of international humanitarian law. He called on international media institutions, human rights organizations, and the United Nations to take immediate action to stop these repressive measures and ensure freedom of media work in Gaza. Yasin also saluted Palestinian journalists who continue to carry out their duties despite threats and dangers, urging the international community to provide them with real protection to ensure the truth continues to reach the world. Houthi Militias Allegedly Force Students to Join Loyalty Marches in Hajjah, Yemen
Hajjah – Recent reports from local sources and human rights groups allege that Houthi militias are coercing schoolchildren in Hajjah governorate to participate in mass rallies glorifying the group's leader, Abdul-Malik al-Houthi. According to testimonies from parents and educators, public schools under Houthi control are being used to organize weekly marches where students chant slogans and carry posters of the militia leader. In some cases, students are required to watch recorded speeches by al-Houthi inside classrooms as part of their school activities. Rights advocates say these actions violate international norms protecting children's rights and education. 'Schools should be safe spaces for learning, not tools for political indoctrination,' said one local education activist. The United Nations has previously condemned the use of educational institutions by armed groups to spread ideology and recruit youth, warning that such practices can have long-term psychological and social effects.
