Owing to their distinctive features and design, the R1 Quad models are unlike anything else on American roads. Currently, Rivian manufactures a full-size family SUV and a full-size pickup truck as electric vehicles.
Both electric models' ground clearance, design, and strong electric motors earned them excellent reviews for their capabilities. The 2026 Quad, the most potent iteration of the R1 truck and SUV to date, is now being unveiled by the American electric vehicle manufacturer and automotive technology company.
Live Events
How fast is the new Rivian quad-motor?
Four electric motors are used in Rivian R1 Quad models to transfer power to the wheels. More horsepower and nearly unbelievable acceleration times are guaranteed with a quad-motor all-wheel drive system.
The 2026 Rivian R1 Quad versions can achieve 0-60 miles per hour in around 2.5 seconds, rendering them among the fastest production vehicles ever manufactured. In comparison, the 2025 Lamborghini Urus has a 0-60 miles per hour acceleration in around 3.1 seconds. Rivian R1 Quad trucks and SUVs surpass several supercars in speed, are more economical, and provide greater practicality in terms of space and functionality.
The R1T Quad and R1S Quad can complete a quarter-mile in 10.5 seconds, generating an impressive 1,025 horsepower and 1,198 pound-feet of torque. All four motors are oil-cooled and independently regulated. The R1 Quad variants have a driving range of up to 400 miles in Conserve Mode.
Jeff Hammoud, Rivian's Chief Design Officer, articulated that the brand's objective is to deliver a luxury experience while being approachable. He instructed the team to ensure the R1 embodies the essence of a six-figure vehicle that one would not hesitate to take off-road.
Following the evaluation of the Rivian R1T Quad, it was concluded that it performs as claimed. The electric vehicles progressively enhance due to over-the-air software upgrades, and several options exist to tailor the R1 to your own preferences and requirements. The new Rivian R1 Quad is "software-defined," integrating advanced technologies that enhances your driving experience.
What is the price of the 2026 Rivian R1 Quad?
The starting price of Rivian's R1S Quad Launch Edition electric SUV is $125,990. The starting price of the 2026 Rivian R1S Quad's standard model is $121,990.
How is software shaping the new R1 experience?
"Kick turn," which modifies the power to the inside wheels and allows the vehicle to spin around its center while in motion, is one of the most anticipated features.
By pressing a button, off-roaders can now make tight turns on trails without having to perform the tiresome 3-point turn. Fans of Rivian might remember "tank turn," a feature that regulates power and tire grip but was never released.
Rivian has, however, imposed certain software-powered restrictions on the feature, such as a speed limit and the restriction to spinning only in dirt.

Kick turn and other software-meets-hardware features, such as its "RAD Tuner," which enables users to modify the vehicle's driving dynamics through the central touchscreen, have been added by the company to the quad-motor.
There are also some very useful features here besides off-road tricks. In Conserve Mode with the right tires, the vehicles can go up to 400 miles, seat up to seven people, and tow up to 11,000 pounds.
Rivian's 140 kWh battery charges through a Tesla-style NACS port and comes with a free CCS adapter, which lets drivers use both Tesla Superchargers and older public charging networks. The new trip planner software can even tell if you need an adapter or not.
It's clear that Rivian's engineers wanted more than just brute strength. The Quad-Motor system is a technical demonstration of what happens when smart software and electric performance meet serious off-road intent.
Rivian is betting that this ultra-capable flagship lineup will carry them forward until mid-2026, when cheaper R2 models are expected to come out.
FAQs
How fast is the new Rivian quad-motor?
The 2026 R1T accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds, faster than many supercars.

Kick Turn allows the vehicle to spin tightly on dirt trails, making it easier for off-roaders to maneuver in tight spaces.

Bullish IPO stuns as BLSH stock may jump 62% to $55–$60 after massive demand — Peter Thiel-backed crypto a must-buy?
Bullish IPO kicked off today, with shares of the Peter Thiel-backed crypto exchange, BLSH, expected to open in the $55–$60 range. That would mark roughly a 62% jump from the initial $37 IPO price. The surge reflects investor excitement, fueled by demand more than 20 times the available shares, Bloomberg reported Wednesday. For traders and institutional investors, this signals one of the most watched crypto market debuts in recent years. Why Bullish is capturing investor attention Bullish isn't just another exchange. It combines institutional-grade trading with CoinDesk ownership , giving it a unique edge in data, media, and crypto indices. The platform focuses on Bitcoin and Ethereum, offering spot and derivatives trading with liquidity and compliance front and center. Analysts note that targeting institutional investors, rather than retail traders alone, may provide more stable growth in volatile crypto markets. Tinnitus Experts Undo Bullish IPO priced at $37 per share with a $5.4B valuation. Peter Thiel's involvement adds credibility. His Founders Fund, along with interest from BlackRock, Galaxy Digital, and ARK Invest , reflects strong institutional confidence. According to MarketWatch, ARK Invest may purchase up to $200 million worth of shares at the IPO price. Live Events How demand shaped the IPO Bullish initially planned to offer 20.3 million shares at $32–$33. Strong investor interest prompted the company to increase the offering to 30 million shares and raise the price to $37. Despite this, a third of institutional orders went unfilled, with allocations prioritized for long-only investors and existing relationships. This pattern mirrors Circle Internet Group's IPO in June, which also experienced outsized demand and saw shares rise more than 400% since listing. The comparison highlights a renewed appetite for crypto-linked public offerings. Financials show a quick turnaround While Bullish posted a net loss in the first quarter of 2025, management expects to swing to profitability in Q2 with projected net income between $106 million and $109 million. Trading volumes tell the story—$250 billion in 2024, compared with just $72.7 billion in 2022, a growth trajectory that suggests its institutional bet is paying off. The company also disclosed crypto holdings worth about $2 billion, the majority in Bitcoin, with smaller allocations to Ethereum and stablecoins. Those reserves aren't just balance sheet filler—they're part of the firm's liquidity strategy, giving it the ability to settle trades quickly and withstand market shocks. What investors should weigh While momentum is strong, there are factors to consider: Profitability: Bullish reported a net loss in Q1 2025 but projects Q2 net income of $106–$109 million . Execution on margins and cash flow will be crucial for sustained performance. Volatility: Crypto markets remain unpredictable. Price swings in Bitcoin and Ethereum could directly impact results. Competition: Established exchanges and brokers present ongoing challenges. Bullish's niche focus and CoinDesk integration offer differentiation but require execution. Disclosure: As a foreign private issuer, Bullish may provide lighter ongoing disclosure than domestic peers, a factor for cautious investors. What this means for the crypto market Bullish's debut underscores renewed institutional confidence in crypto, especially amid regulatory clarity for stablecoins under the Trump Administration. The IPO serves as a signal that digital assets are attracting mainstream investment, bridging the gap between retail enthusiasm and professional trading. If BLSH opens near the projected range, it could set the tone for future crypto IPOs , influencing how exchanges, institutional investors, and regulators approach listings moving forward. FAQs: Q1. What is the Bullish IPO opening price and expected BLSH stock range? BLSH is set to open between $55–$60 , about 62% above the IPO price of $37. Q2. Who backs Bullish in its IPO and why does it matter? Bullish is backed by Peter Thiel, BlackRock, Galaxy Digital, and ARK Invest , signaling strong institutional confidence.

Denmark's Bestseller leads $20 mn funding for robotics innovator
American company Softwear Automation, specialised in automated garment production, secures USD 20 million in a funding round led by the family-owned fashion company BESTSELLER. While yarn production has long been fully automated, the time may now have come for RMG (ready-made garment) production. Softwear Automation, creator of autonomous 'Sewbots', secured $20 million in Series B1 funding led by Danish fashion group Bestseller via its Invest FWD platform. The investment will accelerate T-shirt sewing tech completion, scale production, and enhance R&D, supporting on-demand, localised garment manufacturing and addressing industry needs for speed, flexibility, and lower environmental impact. A pioneer in this field is Softwear Automation, a technology innovator which has developed a fully autonomous sewing solution: they are making robots that can sew clothes – called 'Sewbots'. Softwear Automation has just announced the successful close of its $20 million Series B1 funding round. The round was led by a strategic investment from BESTSELLER, the Danish fashion company behind brands such as JACK & JONES, VERO MODA, and ONLY. The investment was made through Invest FWD, BESTSELLER's dedicated innovation and investment platform. Current investors also participated in the financing. From BESTSELLER, CFO Thomas Børglum Jensen states: At BESTSELLER, we look for innovations that can support progress and changes in the fashion industry. We believe that Softwear Automation can help address some of the key challenges we face across the industry – from speed and flexibility to reducing the environmental impact of garment production. We are pleased to support their development and look forward to exploring how their advanced technology can help us move forward. Thomas Børglum Jensen CFO, BESTSELLER : As part of the collaboration between Softwear Automation and BESTSELLER, CFO Thomas Børglum Jensen, on behalf of BESTSELLER, joins the board of Softwear Automation. 'This partnership with BESTSELLER and the support from Invest FWD are not just a vote of confidence in our technology — they are a powerful catalyst for the future of on-demand and localised apparel manufacturing,' said Palaniswamy "Raj" Rajan, Chairman and CEO of Softwear Automation . The funding round aims to accelerate the completion of the robotics technology dedicated to t-shirt production, initiate the scaling of production capacity, and strengthen R&D. The investment from BESTSELLER's innovation and investment platform, Invest FWD, follows a series of other investments made by BESTSELLER in recent years. In total, BESTSELLER has invested more than DKK 200 million in innovative companies that aim to create the materials of the future and contribute to breakthroughs that can assist in the transformation of the fashion industry. A significant criterion for the investments is that they not only meet BESTSELLER's needs but also help push the entire fashion industry forward. "When it comes to transforming the fashion industry, it is necessary with a diversified focus. The fashion industry is still linear, so it is crucial for us to also invest in innovative recycling technologies that can transform the clothes we wear today into new garments for the next generation. We have been doing this for several years, and we will intensify these efforts going forward," says Dorte Rye Olsen, Head of Sustainability at BESTSELLER .
